Before Stevie Nicks was the primary voice of Fleetwood Mac, there was this talented singer, songwriter, and musician who gave the band its distinctive sound and uniquely carved out style:
His name was Bob Welch.
He eventually left to go solo. He had a couple of decent releases, whilst the band went in another direction with Lindsey Buckingham and the women. Those who were not pleased with that direction, were able to enjoy that sound for a little while longer with Bob's solo work.
Here is one my favorite of his post-Mac days:
Enjoy.
Good choices. The first is very mellow that is nice and consistent throughout the entire song. I would pick this one as my fav of the two.

Don't remember that one, but it has a good sound. I may have to make a Bob Welch song list now. :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting album cover... lol
Is anyone in the Tippecanoe State sober?
ReplyDeleteJust asking.
Gunny
At ease, Gunny.
ReplyDeleteSo LA ... whatever happened to Bob Welch?
Mustang Out
Mustang,
ReplyDeleteHeroin addiction, a few lesser known releases, and some nostalgia work. Beyond that, it beats me.
Nostalgia can be powerful.
