I wouldn't want to cross this guy, because I think he means business. I don't know anything about him, but I wish he lived in Indiana and would run for something here.
If I lived in Alabama, I'd vote for him in an instant.

I like his style. Maybe I'll send him some money for his campaign. Maybe you should, too. In fact, why don't you send him money for both of us and I can repay you later.
Hot Air has a post up where he was interviewed by Glenn Beck on the radio today. He doesn't sound quite as sharp as on the ad, just a decent good ole boy trying to run for office and make some change.
One thing he said that was very interesting (remember he's running for an Ag commissioner) that the Congress is basically trying to federalize the US food supply right now. He who controls food, controls the people. Just something else to investigate while everyone has a food fight over immigration.
Yeah, the ad was heavily spliced and edited. But still, the message was straight forward. He may not be the more scholarly of the candidates we have seen thus far, but he has guts....and sometimes guts is enough.
Don't know much about Alabama politics, but I sure may move there if Rham Emanuel comes back to Chicago to run for Mayor.
It doesn't bother me too much that this guy isn't all the "sharp" while being interviewed on TV. Obama was elected by a bunch of morons who thought he was "sharp" and "articulate" and look what that got us.
Certainly talks a good talk; he hit the strong points --like the presense of the gun too. It would be nice to see many candidates speak strongly as he and really mean it. We shall see.

By "not as sharp" I meant he wasn't whipping out the one-liners as in the ad, but he's most likely new to media. LOL, he kept calling Beck "big guy". Who doesn't know someone exactly like that? He seems like just a regular guy.
But if the treatment of Palin is any indication, unless this guy has a JD from Harvard they'll look down their noses and call him a stupid racist eventually.

I was stationed in Ft. Rucker. People were nice and hospitable. No pro teams there, which means you'd have to drive to Atlanta to see baseball. Nice new stadium but the team stinks now.

Your best friend,
Eric
You little puke. What did I tell you about stinking up the First Sergeant's blog?
I am calling your mother.

Perhaps, LA ... but remember that politicians are professionals at looking and sounding good. I remain skeptical.
Now if Mr. Peterson would actually shoot someone ... say, Chris Matthews ... I would be impressed.

From what distance?

I'd go down and vote for him, several times.
Of course, the Dem candidate for the Senate in Connecticut served in Vietnam so...

Maybe we could car pool down?

AGG COMMISSIONER? How about president?
'cept his accent sounds a BIT too much like Lyndon Johnson for me...

hahahahaha. good ad.
i'd vote for him for ag commish, or sheriff, or something along those lines. how about the border czar? if that doesn't exist, obama has to invent it.

I thought so too.

The neat thing about our system is they all must face re-election. (SEE: Arlen Specter)

Don't hold your breath on that one. Unless it's the kind that will facilitate the influx right before election day.
Here's the interview that AC was referring to:
