Iran Accuses U.S. And Israel Of Waging Smear Campaign

Click on the title for a link to an AP article by Ali Akbar Dareini , an AP writer. Let's take a look at some of it, shall we?

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran accused the U.S. and Israel on Sunday of a smear campaign against its president-elect and warned Europe, which is in tricky nuclear negotiations with Tehran, not to join in the mudslinging.

Well Europe, are you going to let them dictate the tone? Are you going to allow yourself to compromise your standards on what is right? You do remember what is right, don't you?

Let me ask it this way, do you feel comfortable with this regime to have nuclear weapons? You really must start thinking about this, you know. Just because the American President isn't your favorite, does not mean it wise to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

The ultraconservative Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who won a landslide presidential election victory, has been accused of taking American hostages in 1979 when radical students seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. Iranian exiles and an Austrian politician are alleging he was involved in the 1989 slaying of a Kurdish leader and two associates in Vienna.

Iranian officials have denied both allegations.

Really? That's real surprising. Iranians always have a tendency to tell the truth, when faced with serious accusations. But seriously now, when was the last time the current Iranian regime ever told the truth about anything? (And I do mean anything.)

If you (American or other) support what this band of thugs stands for, just post one example when they have ever been truthful (in the comment section of this blog) and I will seriously look at it.

"The charges are so evidently false that they don't deserve an answer. It's clear that it's mere lies," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said Sunday at a news conference in Tehran.

Translation: The jig is up. You have caught us red-handed.

"Europeans should show their political maturity and not intertwine their interests with those of the Americans. They are advised to seriously avoid interference in this issue," Asefi warned. "We advise the Europeans not to fall into the trap of the Zionist media."

In the world of psychology, this is known as deflection. Deflecting responsibility to another is a defense mechanism. It is unhealthy for individuals and for nations. To be accepted as a credible person or nation, owning up to one's mistakes and wrongdoings are necessary for the full maturation and overall healthy development, of the individual or the nation.

This is certainly not the case with Iran. Blaming America and Israel for everything has become such sport in Iran and other Muslim nations. I am surprised they don't hold contests to come up with new slogans.

The Iranian warning came as France, Germany and Britain lead European Union efforts to persuade Tehran to permanently halt nuclear enrichment activities, which the United States claims are part of Iran's plan to develop a nuclear arsenal.

(Whistling, waiting, and twiddling thumbs here, but not holding my breath)

But remember, two of the three countries working on this (in their present states) could not effectively lead a group of starving Sudanese to a buffet table.

Iran rejects the U.S. claims and insists it is pursuing nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, such as generating power. Uranium enriched to low levels can be used for energy while highly enriched uranium can be used in bombs.

Well then Mr. Ahmadinejad, we will all shut up and leave you alone, if you let the U.N. inspect (and not someone like Hans Blix, who couldn't find an Easter Egg). Let us all take a tour of your facilities and prove once and for all, that your intentions are honorable.

I could go on and on, but this is about all I can stomach of this charade. But, I will say this. Be on guard Europe. Can you really afford to gamble on this one?

Read the rest of the article if you wish, but it contains nothing more than the same old tired rhetoric, for the remainder. And with a name like Ali Akbar writing this thing, it will be guaranteed to be used by Muslim newspapers around the world.

A Thought On Socialism

If you took all of the wealth of the world and spread it out evenly among everyone in the world, it would only be a matter of time before those that have it now, would get it all back.

Think about it.

Everybody has their own perspective on just exactly what this day means to them. Suffice it to say, for me, I am just thankful that I live right here, in America. I have been to several other countries that were democratic, but none of them can compare with this one.

None.

Schroeder's Days Numbered

Click on the title for a newsday.com article about a regime change coming to Germany soon.

Soon Schroeder's buddy Chirac will be isolated and forced to fire their president. Just wait, you'll see.

Justice O'Connor Retires

I honestly expected the Chief Justice to go first, but evidently Justice O'Connor felt the need to have some "Sandy" time. I wish her well.

Now we will see if this Senate agreement holds up.

Jack Russell and Springer Spaniel Update II

We have acquired new data which suggests that walls and closed doors may still be necessary at times, especially when ribeye steaks and grills are involved. This variable was not properly factored into our previous findings. We regret any false conclusions that may have been drawn as a result of these previously skewed results.

More findings as we are able to collect and analyze pertinent data.

See what you think.

New Iranian President No Stranger To Terror - Part II

A Daily Briefing on Iran has linked to a Washington Times article about the new Iranian president's past involvement with the 1979 unlawful and hostile takeover of the U.S Embassy in Tehran.

What I linked to on Sunday June 26
, has just now gotten the attention of the MSM. The worldtribune.com broke this story last Friday, June 24. It took almost a week for the liberal MSM to start paying attention to the story.

(I highly recommend bookmarking the World Tribune for good articles that aren't always carried by MSM outlets. As with any media outlet, one should always scrutinize their sources and certainly this same philosophy should apply here too. But, it is worth a read now and then.)

The experts shake their heads in disbelief. Network news is dying, newspaper circulations are down, and the movie industry is suffering, all because people are sick (and tired) of these institutions ramming their liberal beliefs down every decent person's throats.

JR and SS are coexisting in same rooms, albeit at a distance of one or more meters. Walls and closed doors are no longer needed.

More data, as it becomes available.
