Kos Polls Skewed?

Say it isn't so.

In fact, please tell us all they weren't outright fraudulent like the very brief article here says. It links to The Daily Kos, which I have never done because of the vile nature of the posters and commenters--not because I disagree with them.

I wonder what their first clue was. Was it when every reputable poll would show the Democrat and the Republican neck and neck, and the Kos Poll would show the Dem ahead by 16 points? Was it when Obama's approval ratings were steadily trending downward and the Kos Poll would show them holding strong?

Whatever.

It appears that Kos is doing the only thing HE can do, he blames it all on the polling firm they hired. Apparently it turns out that Research 2000 is a two-bit organization that is running out of a Kinkos "rent-an-office". But I have long contended that the name should have given that outfit away, from the jump. 2000 is the year that every progressive can think of when they want to weep and gnash their teeth. When I put the name with the results of their work, it wasn't hard to discern who was behind this farce.

Most reputable poll aggregates (like RCP) have by now removed the Kos polls from their reporting, as the results will now endanger their analyses and reputations. But all the while, the Kos credibility has been further damaged beyond repair and I suspect that no amount of damage control will be able to salvage whatever minute amount of perceived and dreamed reputation they ever had.

Every dog has his day and the truth eventually prevails.

Remember November

Let the cleansing begin in 2010.

Remember the Dream. Remember November. from Republican Governors Association on Vimeo.

We can do it, but we must act with meaning and purpose. And we must remain united, we must not throw away our votes on third party candidates just because we think the GOP candidate isn't conservative enough.... or who we wanted in the primary.

If we take our vote and go home, we get two more years of tearing down the foundations and principles that made America so great. We get two more years of out of control spending and incompetence in all matters that deserve leadership and guidance. We cannot afford it or our nation will die out.

Another Blast From The Past

Summer is here and in full swing. Those of us who live in the temperate zones cannot wait for this time of year, usually spending the entire winter day dreaming about the day when we can once again run around in shorts. Through the cold winds of January and February, we patiently await these days to arrive and receive them with much gladness:

Every year at this time I remember years gone by in a special way. As a boy in California and Hawaii, I couldn't wait for my dad to be off on the weekends so he could take us all to the beach. I can still smell the salt water air of those beaches we used to frequent:

Enjoy.

WARNING: Fake Tea Party Candidates May Appear

As the Democrats see their world closing in on them, they have and will continue to resort to desperate measures. In an attempt to keep a hold onto power, there is nothing too low for them.

One such measure is outlined at this website called, The Fake Tea Party. It is a website put up by the real Florida Tea Party and warns people who may not be politically savvy enough to recognize the impostors.

Apparently, a trail of money is leading back to Alan Grayson, the left-wing delusional nut job who represents Florida's 8th Congressional district. He's the guy who said the Republican health plan was for people to die and die quickly. He's the same idiot who called Linda Robertson a K-Street whore, and the same fool who stated that the GOP in charge of Congress is like a terrorist in the pilot's seat.

Here's the scoop from the local Orlando media:

The Tea Party is a loosely affiliated organization, a spontaneous movement of like-minded individuals who are not in agreement with the direction the country is going. They do not approve of the way the current leadership is handling the nation's affairs. They want to change the direction the nation is going. They are NOT a political party, they do not want to be one, and they will not be fielding candidates in the General Elections being held this fall.

According to the website there are several instances where this is going on.

In Florida's 8th District, where Alan Dis-Grayson will benefit, the fake tea party candidate's name is Peg Dunmire. She is not running as a conservative in the GOP but as a third party in the general. In Dis-Grayson's district, this is purely designed to split the conservative vote and allow this paranoid whacko another term to embarrass the good people of central Florida.

The state of Nevada has one too. Meet Scott Ashjian, the TEA Party candidate for Harry Reid's seat. I wonder how much money Reid's camp has funneled over to Ashjian's coffers. Can anyone in Nevada investigate this one?

Here's the point. Like I said earlier, the Tea Party is NOT a party. It is content to work within the system... for now. Whether you think the GOP is conservative enough or not, it is important to note that in these instances, the Democrats are counting on you being angry enough at your candidate to either stay home.... or pull the lever for some third party to keep the GOP candidate from winning.

If this happens enough, the Dems can eke out enough wins to retain power for another two years. Think of the damage that can be done in two more years.

In my state, Dan Coats was not my first choice for the Senate seat, currently held by the turncoat Evan Bayh. He beat out better candidates in the GOP primary, because the Tea Party vote split the conservative vote. But to not support him in the General Election, means that the Democrat Brad Ellsworth will be in that seat and voting for Obama's agenda...like he has been doing as a Congressman from Indiana's 8th District.

The same may apply to your district or state. Maybe your candidate did not or will not win the nomination. If that is the case, support the nominee until the next election. Stay part of the process.

If you are a Tea Party member or agree with their stances, pass this along to everyone you know. If you have a blog, please post this information to your readers.

Let people know that Harry Reid, Alan Grayson, and a host of other incompetent elected officials are up to dirty games to ensure they stay in power, so they can screw the country up even more. If we cannot take back at least one house of Congress, we are sunk.

Recovery Summer

Strike up the band let the parades begin. It's now officially summer and the Administration is kicking off a huge sales-pitch promotion called Recovery Summer.

I am sure there will be bands, cookouts, celebrations, and parties everywhere..... except in the Gulf Region:

The oil washing up on the Gulf Coast is threatening to suffocate local businesses. As Katie Couric reports, it could be years before they find out exactly how much the spill is costing these businesses.

And I doubt there will be a lot of hiring in the new housing industry:

Sales of new homes collapsed in May, sinking 33 percent to the lowest level on record as potential buyers stopped shopping for homes once they could no longer receive government tax credits.

So much for the Recovery Summer....

....and the band played on.

Weakness As An Influence

More news from the AP:

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Defying a warning from Washington, Pakistan’s prime minister promised yesterday to go ahead with a plan to import natural gas from Iran even if the United States levies additional sanctions against the Mideast country.

What could have ever led people to think that President Barack Hussein Obama was the one person who could repair America's image abroad and gain valuable influence in Muslim countries? I ask this because time after time, case after case, incident after incident, the Muslim world (to include those who say they are allies) are thumbing their noses at the weakest U.S. President in the 234 year history of the American nation.

It's called walking softly without a stick. Soon it will be known as crawling on hands and knees, too weak to walk.

America historically has a short memory. But this time around, let us all Remember In November.

The Tone Of Truth: Real vs. Perceived

Have you heard this little tidbit?

From the AP comes this story:

WASHINGTON (AP) - House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Tuesday that tax increases will eventually be necessary to address the nation's mounting debt, raising a difficult election-year issue as Democrats fight retain control of Congress.

Unbelievable, isn't it? Who would have guessed that at some point, someone would have to pay for the gross negligence and malfeasance that has been thrust upon the American people by their elected officials? Just because Obama and Congress have been openly conspiring to overspend us into oblivion, why can anyone say he/she is surprised?

This is what they said they would do, this is what Obama told Joe the Plumber. They are making good on their promises.

In fact, most everyone who frequents this joint has always believed that Obama and his imperial rubber stamping legislature would raise taxes to pay for their power-drunken spending spree. We all saw it coming and we clearly said so, time and time again..... both here and in other forums.

But the naive dreamers (who thought we were a bunch of bigoted and paranoid right-wingers) did not believe us. They did not think that big time liberals would take our money, disregard our wishes, and thumb their noses while doing it. They thought we were delusional.

So to anyone who stumbles across this blog and fits this specific description, I have a question for you:

Can you hear us now?

Monday, Monday

Monday is almost always filled with negative emotions, when you work. For me this is the first Monday back from vacation.

If you haven't had time to find a Monday outrage subject just yet, you may want to take a trip over to Mustang's place and read his post about Bob and Sally.

Another Blast From The Past

It seems like every time I go to North Carolina, there is such a natural euphoria that comes with it. This year we spent a couple of days near Ft. Bragg, with majestic pines in red clay landscapes. Then, we had to hit the mountains for the clean fresh air, Bambi, and the bears.

Even though the song is more about a girl named Carolina, this song runs through my mind every time we wind through the NC countryside:

Of course, no trip to rural America is complete without getting lost driving down some podunk two-lane highway. This last time was no exception.

The music world lost a legend this past week and I would be remiss if I didn't put his best known hit up as a tribute:

Enjoy.

When Military Intelligence Is A Misnomer

Fox News is reporting that 17 Afghans are AWOL from Lackland AFB in Texas:

A nationwide alert has been issued for 17 members of the Afghan military who have gone AWOL from a Texas Air Force base where foreign military officers who are training to become pilots are taught English, FoxNews.com has learned.

The Afghan officers and enlisted men have security
badges that give them access to secure U.S. defense installations, according to the lookout bulletin, "Afghan Military Deserters in CONUS [Continental U.S.]," issued by Naval Criminal Investigative Service in Dallas, and obtained by FoxNews.com.

I cannot say this is surprising, knowing that the enemy is very good at probing out our weaknesses. But this is not the outrageous part of this story.

Let's read on (emphasis is mine):

The Afghans were attending the Defense Language Institute at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. The DLI program teaches English to military pilot candidates and other air force prospects from foreign countries allied with the U.S.

"I can confirm that 17 have gone missing from the Defense Language Institute," said Gary Emery, Chief of Public Affairs, 37th Training Wing, at Lackland AFB. "They disappeared over the course of the last two years, and none in the last three months."

That's just swell isn't it? Over the last two years, they have just slipped away and the public is just now being made aware of it.

Think of the damage that could have been done by now. Think of the damage that may be in the planning phase right now.

Friday Funnies

Three golfers went golfing one day.

On one of the holes, the first one hit the ball into the water. When he went to hit it out of the pond, it was then the water parted just the right amount to hit the ball right out, and onto the green. And he did.

On the next hole, a second golfer hit his ball into that hole's pond, but the ball was seen floating in the water. He walked on the water to the ball, aimed, swung, and knocked the ball onto the green into easy putting range.

On the very next hole, the third golfer hit his ball awry. It was headed to the water, but out of nowhere a bird caught the ball and flew over the green. At the most opportune time, lightning struck the bird causing the bird to drop the ball directly into the cup.

It was at that time, Moses told Jesus that he wasn't going to play golf with his dad.... ever again.

News Ratings

As we can see, not much has changed over the past few weeks.

Beck's numbers are still more than Olbermann's and Maddow's, combined. This was especially telling, because Beck was not on. He had a guest host.

And Larry King? He had less viewers than the city of Indianapolis has residents.

Racism Is Alive And Well In South Carolina

One of the stories we have been following is the South Carolina primary election. It seems the Democratic nominee is under fire from his fellow statesman, Congressman James Clyburn (D-6th).

The powerful Democratic Caucus member, Clyburn, is suggesting that Alvin Greene is a plant:

COLUMBIA, S.C. - U.S. Congressman James Clyburn suggested Thursday that Alvin Greene may be a "plant" in the Democratic U.S. Senate race in South Carolina and called for a full investigation. Greene shocked the state by winning the primary, despite having no money and running no campaign.

Here's the reported tally:

Alvin M Greene 58.96% 99,971 votes

Vic Rawl 41.04% 69,572 votes

Total number of votes cast: 169,543

That's right groovy guys and gals, the man simply put his name on the ballot and abracadabra, presto change-o, he wins it. No money. no website, no campaign appearances -- this guy just waltzes to victory (literally) sight unseen.

Seems like a benign fairy tale, right?

Wrong. It turns out that all is not golden in the Palmetto State.

Greene is apparently facing obscenity charges involving a 19 year old white university student, over the age of consent. The row that has ensued his victory is over that.... and the fact that he was able to come up with money necessary to file a candidacy, when he supposedly is indigent. We know this because he is unemployed, lives with his dad, and requested a court-appointed lawyer in his legal charges.

Because of these oddities, the Democratic world of hackery is claiming he is a GOP plant.

Who knows? All of this may be true.

But here's the truth that no one wants to tell you:

Vic Rawl, his opponent in the primary, was a relative unknown name too. One major difference in the two is Greene is black, and Rawl is white.

No one vetted this guy before the vote took place. They just placed him on the ballot and let the voters vote.

Since a huge number of Democrats in SC are blacks or white guilt-ridden intellectual elitists, they voted for the man solely based on his skin color. They could not have voted on his policy proposals or his stands on the issues, because he did not articulate any.

And now, Clyburn thinks that a Republican must be behind it all. He even has implicated the voting machines, which are the same machines that carried him back to victory in HIS primary.

To be honest, I can understand why he would suspect the GOP plant part of this story. He thinks his own challenger was a plant. I can also understand why he would want us all to believe there was some hanky panky with the voting machines. Apparently, the SC Democratic Party is full of racists and Jim doesn't want the world to know that skin color is the determining factor in this particular election race.

Do Not Try To Adjust Your Set

This is not a test, the changes you see are real.

After 5+ years of the exact same template, I have decided to try something new. I am not completely sold on this template just yet, but will give it some thought. Any feedback will be gladly accepted unless your last name is Cartman.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled delusion.

We're Back

We have just been 1500 miles through some of the greatest scenery in the country. Much of it was no less than breath-taking, with much of it being very hot and humid.

Majestic pine forests and mountains are always sights that are pleasing to the eye, and a source of awe when you consider how long they have been in existence. The air was fresh, the water was clean, and the people were the most hospitable we could ever find in the world.

Naturally, we are tired and have some things to catch back up on here at home. But I do hope to get some kind of post together soon. And for those who have been asking, my mother is in rehab and doing better. So thanks to all for the prayers and the well-wishes sent our way, they have been comforting.

We're Outta Here

We're on vacation for a few days, to celebrate here's a classic tune to for the ages:

I won't be blogging and sorry to say that I didn't have time to schedule posts as I have done in the past. Life got hectic here with my mother's situation and there just wasn't any time.

But feel free to use the Open Thread post or this one for any communiques you may wish to send. I will be in computer range for some of the time and I will check in from time to time.

Have a good weekend.

Open Thread

Between work, my mother's injury, and preparing for vacation, I haven't had much time for writing blog posts. Now that my kids are grown I thought I would have more time for myself.

Surprise, surprise Sergeant Carter. It ain't happening.

Anyway, because my duties have taken me out of the realm of five-star blogging for a season, I thought I'd do something I rarely do and throw up an open thread.

Helen Thomas - Charlatan, Bigot

I have always thought Helen Thomas of the WH Press Corps was impersonating a fair and unbiased journalist. Now we have the proof that she is not and is a bigot, to boot. If you have been in a news vacuum over the weekend, you may have missed these comments from her own mouth:

Looking at facial expressions and body languages can tell us much about a person and what they are telling us, but in this case the "eyes" have it. Note the sinister look in her eyes as she says these despicable things. They are clear and tell us that these are not the words of someone suffering from dementia. She knows what she is saying and really means it.

Then, let's analyze this further and see what the reaction would be if we modified her statements a little bit:

- Suppose she had said this about Mexicans: They should go back home to Mexico, this is American land and they are invading it.

- Suppose she had said this about Blacks: Time for them to go back to Africa where they came from, they should not be here now that slavery is over.

Once this hit the airwaves and the internet, she would be banned from the WH Press Corps. I guarantee you, she would not have a place there - anymore.

Secondly, Hearst would retire her immediately. If she went quietly, she could get her benefits and move on with her life for however long she has left on this earth. If not, she'd be fired outright.

Neither of these things will happen, of course. For many people in this world, Jews are the scourge of society--much like they were in Hitler's day. They are the lowest form of life and are not considered to be human beings, worthy of any rights... whatsoever. Back in Nazi Germany and the European lands it conquered, many turned their backs because they weren't Jewish and it didn't directly affect them. They were cowards.

I suspect this is also the case today, as the MSM has been anti-Israel for some time now and this has planted seeds of anti-semitism in young minds that will now grow up hating Jews. An entire generation has been educated by anti-semitists and liberal apologists -- who oppose Israel's existence. It actually seems to be cool to hate Israel on most university campuses, these days.

Let's be clear about something here at PYY:

If Helen Thomas had said either of those two things I just mentioned (in any form or modification), PYY would vehemently condemn her statement or staements. No questions, no excuses. Such is the case with the statements she did make in this video. They are vile and worthy of all condemnation and should qualify her for immediate termination. There is no excuse, no taking out of context, no explanation that is credible enough that will change my mind.

And....for anyone who makes the argument that she is merely condemning Zionism, you are welcome to respond to this post. But if I were you, I would take a moment and think about something before you look foolish. Her words reflect nothing short of religious cleansing, which was taking place in Kosovo in the late 90s. Nothing....not one damn thing is different and I challenge anyone to try and prove otherwise.

It's time for people to stand up to this kind of blatant hatred and stop coddling people who are a threat to peace and stability in the world, even if they are old people who should know better. It's time to start understanding that eradicating and/or dispersing 7.5 million people from a tiny strip of land in the Middle East is not worth another world war. It's time to let worthless haters know that this is not okay.

Israel has been a nation for 60 years now, they are not going away without a fight. And I don't blame them one bit for protecting their homeland from their sworn enemies. They will be there for a long time. So Helen, Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terror-loving entities need to deal with it, and get used to it.

Addenda:

1. It doesn't happen very often that Lanny Davis and I are on the same page, but evidently he is with me on this.

2. Want to give Hearst Corporation a piece of your mind? Here is the e-mail of the PR contact from their website: lbagley@hearst.com

I told them I would unsubscribe to the four magazines they publish that come to my house on a regular basis, if they did not fire her. I doubt they will go under because they lose my business. But if enough people did it, who knows?

3. The ball may be beginning to roll, here is the statement released by Helen's publicity agent:

"It is with a heavy heart that Nine Speakers, Inc. announces its resignation as the agent for Helen Thomas, Dean of the White House Press Corps. Ms. Thomas has had an esteemed career as a journalist, and she has been a trailblazer for women, helping others in her profession, and beyond. However, in light of recent events, Nine Speakers is no longer able to represent Ms. Thomas, nor can we condone her comments on the Middle East. Nine Speakers will continue to enthusiastically represent all of our other current and future clients." -- Diane Nine

Bravo!!!

If you know anyone needs an agent, send them to Diane. Her e-mail is ninespeakers@usa.net

Remembering D-Day

Sixty-six years ago today, this prayer was heard over the radios across this nation:

Imagine how unhinged the Left would become, if a President were to speak these words today. Obama would not do it. And if George Bush would have done anything remotely like this, he would have been maligned even more then he already was.

Today.....it is MY prayer that these brave men did not fight this battle (and the subsequent ones) in vain.

Provocation And Consequences

The world has now seen the consequences that result in provoking Israel. At the same time, the world is now outraged that Israel took the initiative to defend itself. Of course, the world is also convinced that "peace activists" were involved in attacking the Israeli commandos--not anti-semitic activists, as it now appears.

But I contend that if they were truly "peace activists", they would have chanted and sang Kumbaya when the Israelis entered their ship. Would they not?

I ask this only because they attacked with weapons as if to do physical harm (if not kill them), at the same time expecting the Israelis to not retaliate against them. These are not actions of anyone who loves peace. Maybe they thought bringing a metal bar or club to a gun fight would endear them to the world, even more so than they are already.

If there is honor in fighting this way and it does identify someone as a "lover of peace", why is it that Hamas seeks to lob rockets into Israel?

In today's world Israel is the demon and the Palestinians are the the good guys, despite the fact they have a government that is controlled by Hamas. They are the oppressed, despite the fact they are one of the many forces who seek to push the Israelis into the sea. Instead of living in peace with their neighbors and seeing them as human beings (with a right to live and breathe air on this planet), they want to eliminate them. They want war, they live for it.

In the meantime, has anyone else noticed that since the blockade was implemented, rocket attacks from Gaza have ceased? If we think this out a little, we can see that the objective is being met here. Despite what the enemies of Israel say, the goal is not to put undue hardship on Palestinians, as was evidenced by the shipment sent to Gaza--that was promptly refused. It is to keep weapons out of the hands of enemy forces....nothing else.

We know that Hamas cannot exist in the form of its mission statement, if it cannot make war with its perceived enemy. This is why they wanted to test the waters (no pun intended). They are out of rockets, therefore they are out of the tools of their only trade. Instead of using Israel's economy as a model to pattern their own after, they refuse to do anything that will help themselves out of the poverty they find themselves in.

Their Arab brothers like the Saudis will not help them, either. They want them to stay in poverty, so they can remain bitter about their condition and have Israel blamed for it.

The anti-semitic left and their Islamist allies want the world to believe the ships were carrying good things for the people of Gaza. And who knows? Maybe this particular load was just that.

Be that as it may, if one can think outside the box, they can safely conclude that this was a test run to see if Israel would allow themselves to be provoked. If they could have gotten this into Gaza, weapons would have surely followed.

Either way, Israel was in a no win situation.

They had to enter the ships, even if it was a dry run for something greater later on. If they hadn't, the next shipment could (and maybe would) have been something disastrous for the existence of Israel. We can never know for sure but why should we be skeptical, why should we doubt it when Iran and others have made their anti-semitic threats for years now? Are we so far in denial to think that there is no belief and/or intent, behind their hateful and contentious words?

And.....who knows? Maybe the occupants of the ship that attacked the Israelis had something on board that has yet to be revealed? It's not outside the realm of possibilities, if you consider how much these people hate Jews.

If we can see this, why is the world so inclined to side with these thugs?

That's a good question, one that is very tough to answer. But what we do know is, the world has historically been against the Jews from the moment of their very being. One only needs to read history from accurate sources to ascertain this. Europe has been, even before the Nazis came to power and instituted a genocidal slaughter against them.

We may not know the whys, but right now we can all be certain of a few things. The Turks are showing Europe precisely why it was not a good idea to allow them into the EU. They seem to be the driving force in all of this. We know they have been very vocal, we also know that Turkey has no room to talk after the way they have historically sought to wage war in the region. At one time, they ruled the Muslim world under the Ottoman Turk Empire, and have a ruthless track record of human rights abuses.

Just ask the Armenians.

In fact, one can only wonder how the Turks would feel, if the Israelis (or other outside elements) were to smuggle rockets into Armenia to be used against Turkish towns just inside the border or if weapons were to be given to Kurdish rebels.

My suspicion is they would have killed every last one of the transporters, and asked questions later. Dead men tell no tales. Maybe that's what the Israelis should have done in this case.

Staying With A Battle

When it looks like you are losing and you manage to find enough strength and endurance to claw your way back into the game, this is then when you can ride the wave that is known as momentum. But it doesn't mean you can quit and coast.

Over at Mustang's site is a video that some may have seen. Whether you have or not, it's still a good view.

Just know that we can and will make a difference, we already have.

With five months to go before the general election, a new poll finds that Republicans have opened their widest lead yet when it comes to which party voters prefer this fall. Gallup's generic congressional ballot finds that the number of voters who say they will vote GOP has jumped to 49 percent, compared with 43 percent for Democrats. That's not only the biggest lead Gallup has recorded for the GOP this election cycle, it's the largest lead Republicans have ever had in the poll, which Gallup has run since 1950.

I know I have some skeptics who read PYY, and I love them to death. But I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, I hate to say I told you all so.

The widest lead ever means that this could turn out to be a huge rout in the fall. The GOP has polled less and yet, somehow, they have managed to gain and hold power before.

No letting up. If you haven't gotten involved in the process, do it now.

We must keep fighting the fight to regain some sense of reason in our government. Think landslide, think positive, think in terms of "can" and "do". If we do this, we "will".

The people's will, not theirs.

Sobering Thoughts

For some thoughts what the future of this new "so-called" international order will look like, you should read the latest essay from Mustang. In a world where the UN claims relevancy, there will be a world in which no nation can do much of anything.

Just something to think about as we go back to our daily routines.
