Remember this display of illogical reasoning by Candy Crowley? Remember how ignorant she showed herself to be on national TV?
That's the precisely the kind of idiocy we have come to expect from the slobbering, drooling media types who continue to hail the Emperor with no clothes. Her only saving grace was nobody watches CNN anymore. So she was free to look like a fool and no one really knew. It's kind of like the old saying, "if a tree fell in the woods and nobody was around, did that tree make a sound?"
Here's a moment where someone was around it's a moment that we probably won't hear Candy address in any of her shows because she is a poor excuse for a journalist.
The very people who were supposed to like us because Obama is President do not seem to be very pleased with his likeness, take a look at a shot of Obama getting stomped in effigy.
Muslims around the world were supposed to love us, after that Cairo speech. And radical racist thugs like the Nation of Islam and Black Panthers were supposed to love their country, now that a black man was in office. Farrakhan even called them the "Chosen One".
Even though Obama's Justice Department got charges dropped against two thugs who broke federal law by intimidating voters at a polling place in Philly, it appears that this honeymoon is also over:
You the faithful few who make this a regular stop know that we spent a great amount of time and effort to warn the American public on this and other blogs. But alas, some did not listen.
We were racists for even suggesting that Barack Hussein Obama was a liar, who would say anything to get elected. We were paranoid when we made the claim that he was inexperienced and incompetent. But to quote Obama's one time spiritual adviser, "the chickens have come home to roost".
Muslims abroad and radical racists have finally awakened to these cold hard realities. When will the American mainstream media finally get it?
I don't expect it anytime too soon. They just refuse to ask the tough questions that they were somehow inclined to ask, when George Bush was President.

A Mountain Out Of A Molehill?
Once upon a time a few years back, I remember a very small break in the integrity of the vinyl covering of an old recliner that had sentimental value to me. It was an old chair that was very comfortable, it belonged to my grandmother, and they just didn't make them like that anymore.
At first, the hole was so small you wouldn't notice it unless you were right near it and looking for it. But over time, it got bigger.
It took awhile, because I babied it.
As my kids got into the age when they saw a button so it had to be pushed, and a hole that had to be messed with, it eventually got bigger. At that time, I put a cover over it to prevent it from getting bigger with the hard usage by the children and to cover what was rapidly becoming an eyesore of an otherwise sound and comfortable chair.
If only I had sealed it with a vinyl repair kit, when it first appeared.
So...where am I going with this story? The answer lies here in this article from the St. Petersburg Times.
Most of our states base their laws on the English system. Louisiana bases their state's law on the French system. And this is how attorneys are taught in Law School.
The story about the hole in the chair's upholstery is an appropriate metaphor in this case. I used this analogy because, all it takes is a small opening by Muslim activists who believe that Sharia Law should be in effect worldwide and they will poke, prod, rip, and tear until the opening becomes bigger and more difficult to manage.
Today, we can say with the utmost certainty that this very incident is a small hole that will be used to create a bigger one down the road, one that will eventually become too big to manage... if we do not demand that it be sealed now.
The first course of action should be to get this turned over on appeal, when the opportunity is presented. Then, this judge should be impeached by the people of Hillsborough County. While these things are taking place, the Florida legislature should immediately take this issue up and work to pass a law that forbids the use of a barbaric system of justice from being used, as a paradigm for resolving any issue within the territorial boundaries of the great state of Florida.
And.....why stop there?
Every other state should do the same thing in their legislatures, the U.S. Congress should take this up at the federal level too. If not, we will soon see Muslims demanding civil and (in some cases where infidels are the accused) criminal cases be judged under Sharia Law, in our courtrooms all across the nation.
If this is permitted to happen unabated, think about how law students will need courses on Islamic law just to contend with these outrageous demands. Think about how many cases will need to be thrown out at some point, because the judge, jury, and counselors were not educated in Islamic law to accommodate and appease.
What about other cultures and religions? Should we accommodate someone who wants to be judged according to Scandinavian, Russian, Chinese, or some other law that does not apply here under our Constitution? Would they do the same for us, if we asked them in their countries?
See how big this can become by one idiot judge trying to be politically correct and disregard the rule of law? This is how activist judges have taken over our judiciary, and how we will lose this nation someday.

The question of what law applies in any Florida courtroom usually comes down to two choices: federal or state.
But Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen is being attacked by conservative bloggers after he ruled in a lawsuit March 3 that, to resolve one crucial issue in the case, he will consult a different source.
"This case," the judge wrote, "will proceed under Ecclesiastical Islamic Law."
Nielsen said he will decide in a lawsuit against a local mosque, the Islamic Education Center of Tampa, whether the parties in the litigation properly followed the teachings of the Koran in obtaining an arbitration decision from an Islamic scholar.

Jihadist Smuggling At The Mexican Border Revisited
I am not much on linking back to previous posts to prove I was right about something. But this is one exception worth making--one that is imperative that we revisit, as we head deeper into this present legislative (and eventually election) cycle.
Way back when, I wrote some things about immigration that I thought was worth considering and well within the appropriate scope of the debate. One of the posts was what I think, very short and to the point. It dealt with this story, which was reported back in 2007.
Most of you, especially who come here regularly, can probably guess what I said back then and I still maintain that same stance now. But it gets worse.
In the present news cycle, we see this one from the Mail Online.
Let's excerpt the following from the article:
Before we go any further, the title of the article indicates this guy is a "controversial" cleric. I don't know how they come up with this stuff, but he's been kicked out of France and Canada (that ought to tell you something right there). I'd say he was a bit MORE than just controversial.
But I digress....and here is what we do know:
Four years ago in the federal legislature, the Democratic party was the party in power. Congress spent 75% or more of its energies crying racism, xenophobia, and paranoia.... and they were loudest whenever we heard of things like this. They knew it all. You couldn't tell them anything. They knew what was best for us, and that (at the time) was the pressing need to end war in Iraq, and close Gitmo.
I know fully good and well, this blog was only one of many sites that warned of impending consequences of turning a blind eye to a porous and uncontrolled border, because I read countless blog posts that carried this warning. So I am not being an egotist here, just a concerned citizen.
It's even more important to note that in this the midst of all of this massive world turmoil, it is not inconsequential or unrealistic to believe this still needs to be addressed. And it needs to be done sooner, rather than later. There is no doubt in my mind that many will use the civil unrest in both Tunisia and Egypt as cover, to export some people who want to harm this country in some way.
My biggest fear is that if we do not get more people to wake up to this grave error of philosophy, this will be an issue that may cost us dearly someday (and not too far into the future). Even though, we have made some good finds along the way... some have only failed because the plan failed.
Some were caught through hard work and attention...I am certain of this. But we got lucky on a few of them... with some damned close calls along the way. And even with all of this going on, there are still plots and subplots going on 24/7/52.
It only takes one instance of success to kill innocent people. It's not a pleasant reflection to look back on with any sense of integrity and be forced to come to the conclusion that it was preventable. This is why we need to be ready to confront the same arguments that the Democrats will most certainly once again make.... once anyone with an ounce of sense begins to call attention to stories like this.
They will say this is but one time. They will undoubtedly claim that this was the exception, not the rule. And... they will surely tout the fact that this man was caught.
So there, the system worked. Shut up and listen!!!
But when they do, please understand something here: For everyone we catch, ten or more may come in undetected. It may end up being someone who has been trained in Pakistan or Yemen, somebody who has a goal of becoming a martyr for jihad purposes, and someone who may get past everything that one point in time....well after we have exhausted our hard work and unearned luck.
One time...that's all it takes to have funerals and memorial services we hadn't planned on having. One time....that's all it takes to ruin innocent lives for a lifetime, all for an evil cause. But now that we who are concerned are supposed to have some voices in Washington, we need to remind those voices of our concerns through phone calls, letters, and e-mails.
We turned over Washington once, we can do it again. And we'd prefer to not be compelled to do it after an attack has taken place. But it's not just about an election. See if you can find one country in the world that does not make every attempt to protect the integrity of its own border. Name one that is content to allow any and everyone access to its landed territory, and its services without any documentation or reasonable purpose for being there.

The FBI is investigating an alleged human smuggling operation based in Chaparral, N.M., that agents say is bringing "Iraqis and other Middle Eastern" individuals across the Rio Grande from Mexico.
An FBI intelligence report distributed by the Washington, D.C. Joint Terrorism Task Force, obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com, says the illegal ring has been bringing Iraqis across the border illegally for more than a year.

Let's excerpt the following from the article:
U.S. border guards got a surprise when they searched a Mexican BMW and found a hardline Muslim cleric - banned from France and Canada - curled up in the boot.
Said Jaziri, who called for the death of a Danish cartoonist that drew pictures of the prophet Mohammed, was being smuggled into California when he was arrested, along with his driver Kenneth Robert Lawler.
Before we go any further, the title of the article indicates this guy is a "controversial" cleric. I don't know how they come up with this stuff, but he's been kicked out of France and Canada (that ought to tell you something right there). I'd say he was a bit MORE than just controversial.

Putting The Moscow Attack Into Perspective
The world is once again aghast at the carnage brought on by a simple, bomb-toting coward. But should this really come as a shock?
Take a look at a little timeline of attacks in Russia.
I counted 23 attacks on this list that was so nicely put together by the Associated Press. I counted 20 of them since 9/11.
We all know that Russia is very instrumental in helping Iran develop nuclear technology. We all know that Russia has been supportive of anti-Semitic forces in the Middle East. One would think that it would be enough to garner some favor in the jihadist world that includes Hezbollah, Hamas, and countries that sponsor such messengers of hatred and vile influence.
But it hasn't. Has it?
Until the civilized world can come to terms with the fact that radical jihadists (and the states that sponsor them) have no friends (other than other blood-thirsty killers who use violence to advance their warped and twisted theology), no nation will be safe.
Today's attack on innocent and defenseless people goes far to prove this claim, quite well. It only goes to show there are enemy forces who care nothing for any other culture, no matter how much that culture's government kisses the feet, rings, and asses of evil men.

CAIR's Undue Foreign Influence
Why should we care about the activities of CAIR?
Watch this video:
In addition to this little snippet, we should also consider this piece of info.
If you tally up the numbers correctly, you will note that approximately 3/5 of the world's richest Arabs are from Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom is a large financier of CAIR and other organizations that hostile towards this country or are actively undermining it.
More than anything, I would like to know why the world's socialists are not trying to redistribute these people's wealth. These people employ very few and are not helping their Palestinian brothers and sisters, in their plight of poverty. Instead, they are blaming Israel and Jews around the world for the situation in Gaza.
The sad part about this ruse is, the world is falling for it.

Handshakes And Hypocrisy
Isn't it utterly amazing that this is such an issue?
To begin with, we must ask ourselves why the President is visiting this sexist culture that makes such a big deal over a little handshake with the First Lady? It's not like he groped her.
See what you think:
Where is the liberal outrage at this? Why are feminists supporting a man who extols and praises Muslim theology, which is misogynist by its very nature? I would say, their silence is a very telling thing. It demonstrates a lack of principles, which is one major reason people are sick of leftists and their approach to governance.
The sad thing in all of this is, Indonesia is supposed to be one of the more MODERATE Muslim nations on the planet. All of this money spent to make a show for the world.... and all we have is this moment of hypocrisy to show for this feeble attempt at restoring what they believe to be credibility, and goodwill.
At very least, I hope they get a lousy T-Shirt for their efforts. Meanwhile, we get to pay the bill.

Afghan Exchange Student Disappears
Check this story out, if you haven't already.
So let's see a show of hands.
At face value and on the surface, who believes this story?
A 15 year old exchange student vanishes into thin air, and the best theory the authorities can come up with is he was homesick and ran away. How easy is it for a boy named Mohammed Karim Azizi to board a flight from Indianapolis en route to Kabul, without someone noticing?
To the police investigating this case, let's put on our thinking caps for a minute. Kids this age are prime candidates for becoming suicide bombers. I wonder if this guy didn't have this little disappearance planned and is now inside a Muslim terror cell somewhere here in the U.S.
Here's another brainstorm idea worthy of some thought and consideration. There is a mosque in Plainfield Indiana, just outside Indy. It's the one that houses the ISNA.
Maybe they could start their search there.
Indianapolis police said Friday morning that a 15-year-old boy from Afghanistan who has been missing since Thursday night was homesick and likely ran away.
Authorities have been in contact with the U.S. State Department and the FBI as the search for Mohammed Karim Azizi, 15, continues.
Azizi, an exchange student who was staying with a host family in Forest, Ohio, was with a group of FFA students from his exchange school, Riverdale High School, visiting Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention.
So let's see a show of hands.

For Your Personal Edification
We just returned from the mountains and a cabin that had no internet. Thankfully there was satellite TV, so we were not completely shut off from the world. Here are a few of the stories going on right now:
Angle: Sharia Law Existing in Some Parts Of U.S.
Shocking!!!! Not because it exists, but because a politician finally has the guts to stand up and say it publicly.
Oh, she'll get hammered for it. The MSM pacifiers will cry xenophobia, racism, and cultural bigotry. They will tell everyone that she is wrong.
But one word should be enough to convince us that she speaks the truth. That word is Europe.
Jerry Brown's Camp Breaks Out The "W" Word
A businesswoman who makes more money and climbs the ladder of success higher than most men, and she deserves to be called a whore? The feminists should be up in arms over such usage, but they aren't.
Still, the real surprising thing about this story is not that it happened. The intended message was left for a union official who Brown wanted to solicit for support, but someone who had access to that message let it out. I would think that a union official would be a sure thing for a Democrat, but someone fronted him and his people out anyway.
It is beginning to look like a California Democrat is getting desperate. Now that the whole "illegal immigrant who worked for Whitman" thing failed, it's time for gloves off and the fools will now be seen and heard at a louder decibel.
Gallup: 10.1% Unemployment
Interesting. The Labor Department says it's 9.5%.
Personally I think they are both low-balling this. It's impossible to gauge the real unemployment rate, when many people have given up looking and it does not factor into the equation, the people who are underemployed.
But hey, we have turned the corner and things are looking brighter now.
Angle: Sharia Law Existing in Some Parts Of U.S.
U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle told a crowd of supporters that the country needs to address a "militant terrorist situation" that has allowed Islamic religious law to take hold in some American cities.
Shocking!!!! Not because it exists, but because a politician finally has the guts to stand up and say it publicly.

Various And Sundry Items For Your Edification
Another Mosque Controversy
If you think that the U.S. and Israel are the only ones having a clash of religions, here is an article you might want to take in.
It sounds like someone is scared to make a decision either way here. Muslims will not back down and the Hindus who have been dealing with Islamic radicals far longer than us are not willing either.
Keep your eye on this one.....
Pledge To America
From those who have had time to read the entire thing, it appears that it is containing much of the TEA Party agenda....at least in words. The easy part will be getting elected, the hard part will be the actual implementation of those principles.
It will be important for Mr. Boehner and others to communicate that this will not be easy, nor will it be a quick fix. But John must also understand that we will be holding his feet to the fire for the next two years, as well. We will expect some results at least in the effort department. No excuses.
Conservatives have the confidence to know that no one in Congress is beyond being fired.

The Unforgiving
Here's something that captured my attention.
You talk about holding a grudge, these damned people are the chiefest of the unforgiving class. The Pope said he respects Islam, which is something I never would have said. What more do they expect?
I'll tell you what, I will call for the Pope to apologize, when someone with some authority in Islam apologizes for:
1. Radical jihadis who kill innocents.
2. Radicals who call for the annihilation of Israel.
3. Palestinian Mickey Mouse characters teaching kids to hate Jews.
4. Calling America the Great Satan.
When someone with some prominence in Islam does this publicly for all to hear, then we'll talk. Until then, they can shut up and deal with it.
Besides all this, Islam was spread by the sword.
Jordanian clerics expressed disappointment that Pope Benedict XVI in an address to Muslim leaders on Saturday failed to offer a new apology for remarks seen as targeting Islam.
"We wanted him to clearly apologise," Sheikh Yusef Abu Hussein, mufti of the southern city of Karak, told AFP after the pope's address in Amman's huge Al-Hussein Mosque.
"What the pope said (in 2006) about the Prophet Mohammed is untrue. Islam did not spread through the power of sword. It's a religion of tolerance and faith," Hussein said.

Bin Laden: An Emissary Of Peace?
I don't know about you, but I love a good heart-warming story as much as anyone. There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel there is some good to be found, in the midst of some bad things. Nothing wrong with silver linings, but there are some moments in time when caution is wise and prudent.
Take this latest story about the son of Osama bin Laden, for instance.
Maybe I failed to successfully emerge from Erickson's "Trust Vs. Mistrust" stage of development with C's or better, but this outreach program is not going to be an easy sell. It's one thing to speak to a reporter about wanting to bridge gaps between the Muslim world and the West, but it's quite another to actually do it.
There's bound to be a lot skepticism and doubt that this communique will generate, So, don't think it strange when most realistically grounded people blow this off. Mr. bin Laden hasn't said what he plans to do to implement this grandiose strategy. And what that usually means is, there is no plan, just talk.
Again, I think it would be great to have someone from the Muslim world look hard at establishing a realistic worldview and becoming better able to work against terrorist forces everywhere they exist. I think this way, because I think it's sorely going to be needed in any long-term solution to the hostilities that exist, between the two worlds. But until I see something more definitive than rhetoric and feel good statements laced with hope and vision, I cannot be optimistic.
Take this latest story about the son of Osama bin Laden, for instance.
Omar Osama bin Laden bears a striking resemblance to his notorious father—except for the dreadlocks that dangle halfway down his back. Then there's the black leather biker jacket.
The 26-year-old does not renounce his father, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, but in an interview with The Associated Press, he said there is better way to defend Islam than militancy: Omar wants to be an "ambassador for peace" between Muslims and the West.

The Role Of The Media: The Bhutto Assassination
Unless one has been in a cave the last 24 hours, we have all heard of the sad and tragic news of former Prime Minister Bhutto's demise. In light of this event, I will say it is not unexpected. Since her return to Pakistan, there has been an uneasiness and a certain level of trepidation that she was going to be killed, at some point. I felt it, many of you may have felt it, and I am sure she felt it.
During the coming days, there will be every accusation and theory as to who the responsible party is. Some of those have already surfaced. Musharraf, al Qaeda, the Taliban, will all be mentioned by the expert pundits, who will be paraded out on the news networks in the coming days (as many already have). And if you listen hard enough, search the internet long enough, you may even find someone on the fringe accuse the CIA and/or the Mossad.
The truth is, we don't know who was behind it. Almost all of those I have mentioned had a vested interest in seeing her assassinated. Their objective was two-fold: Eliminate her and create a state of chaos that will result in long-term instability in Pakistan. On these counts, both goals appear to have been met.
An even sadder truth remains, in that, we may never know the real truth. This situation is extremely complex ans murky, at best. And to think that any investigation or claim of responsibility will immediately be credible, demonstrates a naive thinking process and in some cases delusional thinking.
In the meantime, the thought of Bhutto returning to power has been set forth as an idealistic mantra and panacea that (at best) can be categorized as the same. The media has painted this picture of hope and vision, all the while it has been draped in error and miscalculation.
The build-up to her return and the possibilities it created was entirely fueled by the same media that tells us all that our soldiers are on killing rampages, targeting innocent civilians in Iraq. These are the same people who lend credibility to the thinking that the War On Terror is a bumper sticker phrase and to reporters that sit in their hotel rooms paying locals for slanted and biased accounts of events, they are too scared to cover in person.
The truth is, this woman was painted to be a saviour of sorts to her country, while ignoring how ineffective and corrupt she was while she was in power. There were elements that hated her then (and drove her out). Today, we can see there are still many that hated what she stood for, and would benefit from her death.
With all of this known, it astounds me how the media could paint her return as some bright shining moment, in the quest for the return of democracy in Pakistan. Yet, they did. I guess they wanted a story, and they got it.
So, as the expostulations and pontifications from the experts flow out of the interviews and the roundtable discussions, remember that this is not as easy to sort out, as they want us to believe. All will get their faces on TV, voices on radio, and names in the newspapers. But, Bhutto gets a funeral and the people of Pakistan get uncertainty and chaos.
Note - Here are some other views starting to emerge:
1. An excellent essay in the NT Post today about the facade of Bhutto.
2. Which goes along well, with some of what Mustang is saying in his latest post.
3. AC of Fore Left has some thoughts, some of which may differ from mine. But still, they are worth considering.
4. Interesting food for thought here at Q and O.

IBD Says Debate In Bali Shut Down
The UN is there to discuss global warming, but what about those that have data that contradicts UN data? Answer: It's disregarded. These global warming people have their minds made up and if you present evidence that shows otherwise, it's only going to make them dig in deeper. That's science, the UN way.

Iran Proposes Alternative To Annapolis
In a move that is not at all surprising, the Iranian government has proposed an alternate meeting.
From this opening statement in this very short article, most intelligent people can effectively surmise that the meeting Iran is proposing will not have peace as a long-term objective.
Translation: These groups are planning to come to Tehran within the next week or two and they are all the Palestinian groups that are struggling to destroy Israel.
In other words:
The strip of land in question (which was once barren and fruitless before 1948) belongs to the Palestinian people and there is no process or deal that is acceptable, short of all Jews vacating it permanently, so that the Palestinian militant groups can turn it back into a barren and fruitless war zone, once again.
As much as I would like to applaud the efforts of the Annapolis conference, I cannot get very optimistic. As long as the current government in Iran is in power, there will be no peace in the Middle East. Pledging millions of dollars in 2006 is nothing new. Ask them about the billions that have been pumped into Hezbollah and others, since the regime was installed in 1979.
As long as oil is a necessary commodity throughout the world, these people will have funding for terror operations. As long as states such as Iran and Saudi Arabia use their huge oil revenues to finance this hatred, it will not go away anytime soon.
Iran said on Tuesday that it had invited Palestinian militant factions to a meeting in Tehran aimed at countering a US-hosted Middle East peace conference seeking to kickstart the peace process.
From this opening statement in this very short article, most intelligent people can effectively surmise that the meeting Iran is proposing will not have peace as a long-term objective.
"These groups are planning to come to Tehran within the next week or two and they are all the Palestinian groups that are struggling for the freedom of their land," government spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham told reporters.

Iran is one of the most vocal backers of Palestinian militant groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad and pledged millions of dollars in 2006 to the then Hamas government crippled by a Western aid cut.
The Islamic republic does not recognise Israel and its President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has provoked outrage by calling for the Jewish state to be wiped off the map.

Variation As A Constant
We've had some discussions in the past, on Islamists and what kind of people the message they put out, seems to attract (most recently here). So, anyone who has deemed this kind of thing interesting enough to explore it further, here is an article that is worthy of some consideration.
The article is quite extensive in for a short space of words. It attempts to look at many of the inconsistencies that exist in the jihadist world, as it describes the different socioeconomic backgrounds that have found their way into this movement.
While some of us maintain economic reasons are a primary source of motivation, I can agree that it is a factor in some cases but not all. There have been many Palestinian suicide bombers that come from families that are very common and some cases in poverty. But if we are to lend any credibility to this article, we must also accept that the brains of the operations are not uneducated and underprivileged people. Many do have college degrees in field that require some intelligence to master, enough to acquire this education. In addition to this, they also had to have the financial resources to pay for it. I am not sure there are extensive government programs for poor people in countries like Syria, Iran, or others.
The other interesting thing to note in this is, it is starting to look like al-Qaeda (et al.) is trying to adjust their strategy a bit. Knowing that a common misconception is now permeating the conventional wisdom, knowing there is a misunderstanding of what is a typical terrorist, they have decided not to employ these people except maybe as decoys. They seem more willing to use people that have become disaffected for reasons other than economic ones.
But more than anything, it is very important to understand something. With all of these inconsistencies that we can identify and analyze, there still is one constant. The people that are taking up the jihadist struggle, all claim Islam as their religion. Whether they are or whether they are not, is irrelevant. They all claim it and claim it proudly.
By expanding their use of all types, they can widen the circle of suspicion and file more lawsuits when the authorities try to investigate them. They all can complain to CAIR that more people of their faith are being targeted unjustly.
And as they adjust, so must we.
We must be prepared to realize that there is not one leading indicator other than these people all claim to be doing the will of Allah by killing infidels. With that in mind, we should know that variations in backgrounds, nationalities, and other demographics will be the constant.
Understanding these people and why they do what they do is important, and with time we are learning more and more about them. But, there are things we already know, things that some are still not ready to accept. More importantly, we must allow ourselves the ability to stop these people before they cause harm. When we do this, it is then we learn things that can help us understand the profiles of such people, by tracing their paths backward.

In Their Own Words
For those that minimize the role of religion in some terrorist causes, you simply must read this article from the Daily Mail.
If we are to believe this writer, we can plainly see that there is a religious component involved here. That doesn't mean there isn't a political one, it just means there are some that truly want to establish theocracies, in place of stable democratic republics. It's not about justice. It's about empowerment and oppression, as outlined in some medieval interpretations of metaphoric texts. But most importantly, it is about enslavement of mankind.
So, the next time someone says this is an economic cause and uses some descriptive analysis of unjust economic conditions in the Muslim world to illustrate it, you can at least have this article (written by a former jihadist) in the back of your mind to aid you in your search for the truth.
When I was still a member of what is probably best termed the British Jihadi Network - a series of British Muslim terrorist groups linked by a single ideology - I remember how we used to laugh in celebration whenever people on TV proclaimed that the sole cause for Islamic acts of terror like 9/11, the Madrid bombings and 7/7 was Western foreign policy.
By blaming the Government for our actions, those who pushed this "Blair's bombs" line did our propaganda work for us.
More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: Islamic theology.

Placing Blame Where It Belongs
Irshadi Manji's latest essay is certainly not going to win over many in the dark and depraved underworld, which is also known as radical Islam.
Those that want to explain away the atrocities of the depraved killers that kill in the name of Allah as misunderstood, may want to read her piece with an open mind. (That includes Jimmy Carter and those that look to him as a political deity.) For, she is in a unique position to know and understand these things. It doesn't make sense to thoroughly discount what this woman says, just because one hates George Bush and thinks he is the main reason these thugs hate America (and Israel) so much.
GROWING up in Vancouver, I attended an Islamic school every Saturday. There, I learned that Jews can't be trusted because they worship "moolah, not Allah", meaning money, not God. According to my teacher, every last Jew is consumed with business.
But looking around my neighbourhood, I noticed that most of the new business signs featured Asian languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Punjabi and plenty of Urdu. Not Hebrew, Urdu, which is spoken throughout Pakistan.

Must Read Essay
Folks, you simply must give this piece a read. It is a scathing indictment on the MSM, written by a non-Islamist Muslim that has served in the the U.S. Military and actively works to draw a marked distinction between radical elements and moderates. His name is M. Zuhdi Jasser and here are a couple of the more pointed remarks, he makes in this essay:
And
Pretty poignant, if you ask me. I recommend reading the entire piece.
The PBS/CPB censorship of Islam vs. Islamists exemplifies the dire need to begin to educate many in the MSM of the ideological realities of the Islamists. They may protect Islamists blindly out of ignorance, fear, infiltration, or minority politics. But, at the end of the day, if the MSM editors understood the type of society the protected Islamists would create if they became a majority, their support would vanish. Feminists, social liberals, and those that would separate religion from government would be entirely ignored under Islamist control. Just ask the feminists what type of equality they have in many Islamist controlled mosques around the country.
And
Borrowing on the old cliché of a tree falling in a forest, if Muslims speak out against Islamists but remain unheard (in the PBS forest), did they speak out at all? Without regular opportunities in the media and government for anti-Islamist Muslims to speak out, America will never know that they ever did. Without being heard the moderate voices will be as if they never existed. Without hearing the moderate voice, it is so much the easier for Islamists to continue toward their goal of political domination and demagoguery of the Muslim community and, ultimately, of America itself.
Pretty poignant, if you ask me. I recommend reading the entire piece.
