PYY isn't the biggest blog on the web, nor will it ever be. But just because your bloghost here does not adequately promote this site, does not mean we haven't had our share of intelligent readers.
So for you all who make this a daily or weekly stop, go over the Althouse and give this essay a good read.

New Post At PPTOG
It's nothing too heavy, no controversial doctrinal theories.
But nevertheless, I think it is something to think about as we brave the gusty winds of this thing called life.

Monday, Monday
Monday is almost always filled with negative emotions, when you work. For me this is the first Monday back from vacation.
If you haven't had time to find a Monday outrage subject just yet, you may want to take a trip over to Mustang's place and read his post about Bob and Sally.

Sobering Thoughts
For some thoughts what the future of this new "so-called" international order will look like, you should read the latest essay from Mustang. In a world where the UN claims relevancy, there will be a world in which no nation can do much of anything.
Just something to think about as we go back to our daily routines.

I have found a couple of new ones you may be interested in.
First, we have commentary from an American who lived in Germany. When you get a chance, take a look at Schnitzel Republic.
I lived in Deutschland for a couple of years. I took advantage of a lot of opportunities while I was there.
Secondly, it's biased and negative but much of it is true. For those who live in Indiana, Bad For Indiana tells us why Ellsworth is not the best choice for Indiana this fall.
I wouldn't think that it would be a big secret why he is the poorest choice of the two. He has voted for every big government bill since Obama has become President. This makes his voting record progressive and Hoosiers will recognize that Indiana does not need that kind of representation.

No football, no NCAA tournament, so posting on Monday will be more work for me. This is especially true after a nice weekend, where sitting at a computer was not the best possible choice of how to spend a day.
So because of my lack of interest in things political the past two days, I must rely on an old tried and true strategy to bail me out of a tight spot. I will ride the coattails of my friend Mustang, who has an excellent post up at Social Sense.
And why stop there?
AC at Fore Left posted something interesting on Saturday. Give it a look when you get a chance.
Happy reading.

As I get busy in life and try to capture what little time I can to blog, I often times do not get around to all of the blogs on my blogroll. It's not because I am mad at them or anything. It's because the life issues that I must contend with are real and usually translate the the loss and/or gain of money needed (mostly the loss). And since the blog doesn't contribute anything to the cash flow, its priority is limited.
But as I look to maximize what little time I have had the past couple of days, I remembered to check out one of the better blogs ion the internet.
Global American Discourse is written by an intellectual Japanese gentleman who is very well apt to tech what he knows. If you have a moment, check out his site. If nothing else read his piece on the recent Ukranian election. You can tell the man loves political freedom.

Last week, I was listening to Neal Boortz on the radio and I heard him read a leeter that was written right after the election of Barack Obama. It was written by a Dr. Anne Wortham a sociology professor at Illinois State University. She also happens to be a visiting scholar at Stanford's Hoover Institute. She is a proponent of the teachings of Ayn Rand and it just so happens she is black.
It has been circulated on the net for some time now. But on the chance you haven't read it yet, here it is. Is she right?
___________________________
Part of the reason I think she is right can be determined from the next two stories.
First, there is this story about Obama claiming the stimulus is working.
But is it really working?
Reading this article, one has to wonder where Obama's head is?
Now, you can correct me if I am wrong (and I know you will). But wasn't the stimulus supposed to create new jobs, rather quickly?
I wonder if a similar study was done in Michigan. They, too, were under the impression that the impact would be felt by summer.

Part of the reason I think she is right can be determined from the next two stories.
First, there is this story about Obama claiming the stimulus is working.
President Barack Obama said his $787 billion stimulus bill “has worked as intended” as he pushed back against Republican criticism that his recovery program has failed to rescue the economy.
“It has already extended unemployment insurance and health insurance to those who have lost their jobs in this recession,” Obama, who is traveling today in Ghana, said in his weekly Saturday radio and Web address. “It has delivered $43 billion in tax relief to American working families and business.”
But is it really working?
Reading this article, one has to wonder where Obama's head is?
Unemployment among blacks in New York City has increased much faster than for whites, and the gap appears to be widening at an accelerating pace, new studies of jobless data have found.
While unemployment rose steadily for white New Yorkers from the first quarter of 2008 through the first three months of this year, the number of unemployed blacks in the city rose four times as fast, according to a report to be released on Monday by the city comptroller’s office. By the end of March, there were about 80,000 more unemployed blacks than whites, according to the report, even though there are roughly 1.5 million more whites than blacks here.
Now, you can correct me if I am wrong (and I know you will). But wasn't the stimulus supposed to create new jobs, rather quickly?
So Mr. Obama began a new effort on Monday to show that his stimulus plan was yielding concrete benefits, saying that his administration expects to save or create 600,000 more jobs this summer, as the federal government spends billions to expand care at health centers, spruce up national parks, hire teachers and improve military facilities.
At a meeting with Mr. Obama and the cabinet, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. outlined 10 major initiatives that he said would “build momentum and accelerate job growth” over the next 100 days. After Mr. Biden ticked off a list of programs — including water and waste projects in rural America and rehabilitation of 98 airports and 1,500 highways — the president took aim at his critics.
I wonder if a similar study was done in Michigan. They, too, were under the impression that the impact would be felt by summer.

Here is a video that is a good demonstration of how government successfully pits certain citizens against one another. It is light-hearted but the message is clear.
Here is a powerful video which one of those people, who has fallen prey to the liberal victimologists, has taken offense to. Her objections and some responses to those objections are found in the comment section. Feel free to air your responses, if you wish.

An Explanation
I must apologize for my absence during my vacation. My failure to post and visit other blogs can be attributed to a couple of different things. For one thing, I have had some things to do along the way, things that I have not been able to get done while working long hours. The other thing is an issue of blog burnout.
There are only so many ways to say that Obama and Congress are doing a lousy job. There only so many ways I can say the country is heading toward the toilet. Writer's block or whatever you want to call it, it calls for some retreat time and that's what I have been doing.
So instead of quitting altogether like many have before me, I can recognize when it's time to step away for a breather. Doing this can make a big difference in my commitment down the stretch, when it will count the most. Thanks for your understanding.
Meanwhile, here is a piece I found through Boortz on the utility of unions. He links to his source, as he always does . I do believe this is worth a look, because many who keep responding to poll questions on Obama's job approval are not understanding the nature of the damage he is doing, by empowering the unions more. Unions are not good for the economy and once a person with an open mind can read this information, he/she may begin to understand this (or maybe not).

It's not WND. It's from Mother Jones, noted liberal progressive publication. Here is an article that is critical of Sonia Sotmayor's writing skills.
Some disturbing news in the world of states' rights is coming from the Georgia Secretary of State. Apparently the Justice department is meddling in the affairs of a state that has a constitutional law, requiring people who wish to vote, to prove they are citizens.
Biden tells us what most of us already know. Hope we all feel better now that we know we were right. I know I do.

Busy, busy. So this means another half-assed effort on my part.
Mustang has a post up to read and consider. Note the source and what they see, something that Americans apparently do not.
AC at Fore Left gave me the impression was suspicious of the disappearance of the Air France flight. Speaking of Sarkozy's statement immediately after the disappearance from radar, he had a thought.
Sarkozy said:
AC said:
Today, we hear about a bomb threat a few days before the plane went down without as much of a warning. This may not be something other than weather-related and French officials are not saying much about it now. The media hasn't even picked up on it until Drudge did some digging.

We are all aware that Blacks are a minority and that about 95% voted for Obama. This means the minority of Blacks who voted against him were about 5%. I am pretty sure the guy who authors this blog was among that minority of the minority. It's called The Black Sphere and I have recently run across it and have been checking it out on a semi-regular basis.
I have deemed it good enough to place on the PYY Blogroll and hope that you will check it out and visit it, as often as you have time. This is a post of his you will not want to miss.

I have been very busy this week and as a result PYY has not had the proper amount of attention. For this, I do apologize.
But, as is customary when real life gets in the way of what I greatly enjoy, I will refer my readers to Mustang's blog Social Sense for his latest post, which is more than a bit thought provoking. While you are there, check out his pics from what the MSM has termed an angry fascist rally.
Meanwhile, I will try to get something worthwhile together later today.

Dragging
As it has been pointed out to me by my friend Mustang, I have severely neglected by blog this week. Unlike Mustang, who is retired and living in the lap of luxury in Florida, I have to work. And this past week has been very busy (didn't get home until after 7:30 last evening).
I have been so tired, so worn down, I didn't even have time to do a News In Brief post. So, the next best half-ass effort is linking to Mustang's new post on ACORN.

When Democrats turn on each other, it's not pretty. As we now know, Dodd was the biggest recipient of campaign money from AIG in the last election cycle, followed closely by Obama. But notice who is blaming who for the insertion of wording on the bonuses:
What a lying sack of ...(you fill in the blank).
Meanwhile, Mustang has an interesting solution that may help global warming. My wish is that we pilot it in Washington DC first, to see if expanding the program worldwide would be of any benefit. If not, then we'll know he wasn't having one of his more lucid moments, when he wrote this.
I have to say, it does look good on paper. But if it can't work in DC, it can't work anywhere and we'll have to scrap it. Of course it might work in DC, but but once we realize that DC was the problem to start with, we may want to scrap it anyway. Oh well, see what you think.
Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd said the Obama administration asked him to insert a provision in last month’s $787 billion economic- stimulus legislation that had the effect of authorizing American International Group Inc.’s bonuses.
Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat, said yesterday he agreed to modify restrictions on executive pay at companies receiving taxpayer assistance to exempt bonuses already agreed upon in contracts. He said he did so without realizing the change would benefit AIG, whose recent $165 million payment to employees has sparked a public furor.
What a lying sack of ...(you fill in the blank).
