Front And Center: The Latest Skewed AP Poll

Every one in the media and the Democratic Party is going completely gaga over the latest AP poll, showing Obama's approval rating at 60%. Yahoo puts the story out front and center.

The same poll shows 53% think he deserves re-election. Again, Yahoo wants to make sure you know this right here.

The first story doesn't mention it, the second story buries deep in the last third of the text. But to those who are willing to use their brains for a split second, all it takes is a look at the entire poll to see how heavily this poll was skewed. On page #37, you will see the respondents were 46% Democrat, 29% Republican, and 4% Independent. 20% are too stupid to know what they are.

This is significant for several reasons. The most obvious is a 17% differential between the Dems and the GOP. But the real skewing comes in the shorting of the Independents.

In reality, the Dems and Republicans represent about 30% of the electorate each. The other 30% or so is made up of Independents and other smaller parties. We always expect the Dems and the GOP to vote accordingly, but it's the Indies that win elections. And right now they are not happy with the state of the nation, as it applies to their lives.

In the second linked story, the AP makes an attempt at an explanation:

Some conservatives criticized the AP-GfK poll as heavy with responses from Democrats. AP-GfK polls use a consistent technique that starts with a random sample of the population and lets respondents identify their own political leanings. In this poll, 46 percent of respondents identified themselves as Democrats or leaning that way, while 29 percent said they were Republicans or leaning to the GOP. How people identify their leanings fluctuates in polls along with their other political opinions. The change in party identification in the current AP-GfK current poll is not a statistically significant shift from the previous poll in March, and does not by itself explain the poll findings.

Not very scientific, is it? Why not just scrap the poll, when they learn how lopsided the sample is? Answer: they don't care because they figure there are enough stupid people to accept what it says, with no scrutiny at all.

So, here we are. Once again we are going to be forced to endure the cramming of this propaganda down our throats for the next month, while more accurate polls are disregarded and ignored. Such is life when socialist statists are in charge. The state media is hard at work selling the delusion that Obama is a leader, just because he did one thing right.

He's still behind a stopped clock by a 2:1 margin.

Obama Is Losing Support Among Blacks

It's just not the "racist and right wing" FOX News saying this. BET is saying it because it's evidently true:

When Barack Obama won the 2008 presidential election, he got 43 percent of the white vote and a staggering 96 percent of the Black vote. In the ensuing years, his support amongst Americans in general has wavered—he’s currently at 45 percent approval, 45 percent disapproval—but his African-American support has been consistently high. Today, that appears to not be the case.

Just to be clear and up front: Obama is no way in danger of losing the support of the vast majority of Blacks. As of today, 85 percent of African-Americans still say they support the president. That is a lot; that is most.

That being said, however, 85 percent—a seven percent drop in the past month—is the lowest Obama’s Black approval rating has been since he took office more than two years ago. This isn’t horrible news, but it’s not good, either.

I would first submit that polls are usually skewed in Obama's favor, I am not sure who they ask. They do report their methodologies and describe their survey sampling. They can say anything they want, but we have no way of verifying who they asked.

I suspect the numbers were even less than 85%, but still a clear majority. They can only fudge the numbers so much and maintain some sense of credibility with those who aren't able to discern statistic very well.

The next portion of this article goes to minimize this information and go through the usual left wing excuses:

As we’ve told you here before, some Black Americans weren’t pleased when Obama decided to engage with Libya, with Louis Farrakhan outright denouncing the attacks. Many Americans are also extremely worried about an impending government shutdown on Friday. On top of all that, the economy is still struggling, and Black Americans especially are finding it difficult to find work.

As we head into the 2012 election season, Obama is going to need all the grassroots help he can get. In 2008, Blacks made up a full 13 percent of the electorate, which is two points higher than their last national turnout. It’s unlikely that Black voters are going to vote for Obama’s Republican opponent, but it’s possible that they’ll stay home come Election Day, and Obama can’t have that. His approval is also down amongst Latinos, from 65 percent to 54 percent.

Let this be a lesson to anyone racist and silly enough to say that Blacks support Obama no matter what out of racial loyalties. That’s’ simply not true; Blacks, like everyone else, will consider their stability and self-interest when making political decisions. And they’re doing that now.

Well, I consider myself schooled now. But what about very intelligent black men like the President and CEO of the Black Chamber Of Commerce?

Meet Harry Alford, who freely and willfully admits here in this interview with Laura Ingraham that the only reason he voted for Obama was because he is black:

You may want to jog your memory about this man. He's the one who called out Barbara Boxer's racism in a Senate hearing a couple of years ago. Listen to this stellar moment here:

I would have to say that this was one of the best moments in television, but there were too many people drinking the Kool-Aid back then to even notice this exchange.

Meanwhile, back to the main point.

Obama is losing support among blacks because there were many black people who hoped his election would mean better times for everyone. They truly thought this man was one of them.

They thought he would help them live the American dream and they are now learning what we here at PYY knew before this man was even elected. Like his racist friend in the Senate the dishonorable Barbara Boxer, he is a condescending phony whose only agenda is to make more people dependent upon government.

What we (who knew this beforehand) can take from this is comfort....comfort in knowing that our labors in exposing this ineffective leadership have not been in vain. We can see the cracks in the ceiling beginning to get wider and deeper. We saw those cracks before the 2008 election, because we were not afraid to look for them. Now that there are some paint chips and pieces of plaster beginning to fall on some heads, they are now beginning to notice the cracks as they get larger.

When BET is forced acknowledge the obvious, we know there is a golden opportunity at hand to expose more weakness in Obama's "structural" integrity.

In short, he has NOT delivered on his "pie-in-the-sky" promises and he never will. He can't---not when they keep telling us recovery is happening, things are getting better, and yet prices are skyrocketing for everything, while people (including blacks) are looking for work that is not there.

The Gall Of Some People

Once in awhile, someone has the guts to challenge the Emperor on his new clothes. Or in the case of the fable, the lack thereof.

Watch as this reporter does just that:

Very few people would have the guts to come out like he did and press the President as this man did. In what was supposed to be an early softball interview for political sales and marketing purposes, he found someone who was not so much in awe of this empty suited man, one that so many of his peers drool over.

After he thought the mike and tape was off, the President made it clear he likes to be the demagogue-in-chief and does not want to be interrupted while doing it. President Mindless Chatter Filibuster wants to have the ability to use every appearance with the press as a free campaign commercial...and his answers are final.

But the sad part in this whole event is not the President's response. We know that many people in countries and cultures the President admires have tried this kind of thing and they are no longer here to tell about it. Had this happened in Venezuela, well, just say "night night" Mr Reporter.

No, the sad part is two-fold.

One, this wasn't nearly as aggressive as it should have been. With 10% unemployment, gas prices headed for $5.00/gallon by the summer, and a lost war with no defined objective, you'd think there would be more things in which to press the President on.

That's why the number two part of this two-fold sad tale is so evident. It's sad that more news reporters cannot muster up the guts to continue this interview, the next time Obama thinks he should get a pass in one. In fact, he shouldn't even need to interview for the news media to start holding this reckless and inept man they call a leader accountable, for his lies and grave errors that could cost us a country before he is through with it.

Obama Just Wants His Life Back

Like Tony Hayward of BP fame and Jenn Sterger, the tart who thought it would be just and noble to go public with Brett Favre's sexual cell phone commentary, Obama is now trying to one up their whining. Two years after he stood with his nose in the air and his hand on a Bible swearing he'd uphold the Constitution of the United States, he now realizes what he misses about being just a normal person.

"I just miss -- I miss being anonymous," he said at the meeting in the White House State Dining Room. "I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can't take a walk."

Outstanding Mr. President, such an epiphany you must have had when you dreamed that one up. It must have been some great cathartic release to get that off of your chest. Now that you have spent the nation into oblivion and are still searching for ways to spend more, I think it's a fine time to express even this fractional amount of regret about your favorite subject....you.

It has been all bout you from the beginning, hasn't it?

You weren't satisfied playing U.S. Senator with no real experience. You just had to play a non-experienced President too.

Well, here's novel idea that I think a lot of people will support. Why don't you just resign and let the court jester play President awhile, until we can replace him next year. Do this... and you will be hailed as a real patriot and lover of your country. You won't have to lie about it anymore.

To my faithful readers, I think Obama is setting us up for what might be an invitation for someone else to replace him. He has liberals pissed off at him, so he'd be ripe for a primary challenge. He has independents pissed at him because he lied to them about being different than the others. So he's greatly ripe for defeat in the general election.

I don't think he wants the job. I don't think he ever did.

He just wanted to win the election so he could say he made history, by being the first black president. When the work began to show up at his office, he started taking vacations so he could escape the responsibilities a President must face to be successful. He left the jobs to incompetent hacks who have no idea what it takes to run a paper route, much less a nation.

He left it to the Democratic Congress. He left it to those incompetent pukes so they could screw it up. Then, he could blame them when it could no longer be blamed on Bush.

Thanks again America.

You wanted to witness and be a part of history. How's it feel to be a part of the worst era this nation has ever experienced, outside the Civil War?

Controlling The Narrative

A week and a half in the life of Team Obama:

Monday: Qaddaffi must go.

Tuesday: Khadafy can stay.

Wednesday: Never mind. We had it right the last time. Kaddaffi should go.

Thursday: Give us a minute to rethink what Quadaffy should or shouldn't do.

Friday: Quackdafi needs to stop bombing civilians.

Saturday: Quaaludaffi must go.

Sunday: Farrakhan says, Who the hell do you think you are? Khaddaffi must stay.

Monday: Dianne Feinstein says, Arrest Gadhafi

Tuesday: A symbol of racist oppression, Butler, lost the NCAA Championship.

Wednesday: Kaaduffy can stay, maybe.

The Inconsistent Foreign Policy Of Barack Obama

I am sure a few of my regular readers will disagree with me on this post. But nevertheless, I have to say some things about Libya and the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East.

Before we discuss Obama's usual inept handling of another foreign crisis, there are some inconsistencies we must think about... long before before we draw any intelligent conclusions. As in any case, there are things we know and things we don't. Let's start by looking at what we know.

We know that Obama likes dictators (at least the Latin American versions).

He loves Hugo Chavez. We all know Chavez fits the socialist model that the President was educated to believe in. We all know that Bro. Hugo is the modern-day replacement for Fidel Castro's failed leadership in Latin America, for failing to implement the true communist paradigm in Latin America.

We know that he loved former President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras. You may remember him as the man who tried to illegally modify the Honduran constitution, so he could run for another term... for the purpose of implementing a Chavez style economic and political system. When the Honduran Supreme Court ruled against Zelaya and his underhanded plan of action, both Obama and Chavez did everything they possibly could to subvert the rule of law in that country.

What we do not know is why Obama is not supporting dictators a half a world away in the Middle East.

He did not support Mubarek of Egypt during its recent popular uprising and by all appearances now, he is not supporting Libya's Muammar Gaddaffi in favor of another "so-called" populist uprising.

It's hard to make sense of this approach until we realize that Obama clearly has no consistent values or core principles. Then only thing consistent with Obama is, he will do what is best for Obama, and those who will help him. We do know that those who support Obama's Presidency the most are the people who have in years past advocated for revolution. Bill and Bernice Ayers are two names that prominently stick out, as well as many others. The people I speak of are those who follow the Alinsky model. They never want a crisis to go to waste and if there is no crisis, they can create one.

I firmly believe that at the time of Obama's election, there were unseen forces overblowing the economic crisis at the time, for the specific purpose of getting the man elected. Not that everything was hunky dory mind you, it was a downturn that was bound to happen and not be denied. But these forces used a complicit media (who merely wanted to see history made in the form of electing a black man as president) and all other means within their reach to drive the frenzy of what was then described as a looming depression never before seen. They made a bad situation even worse.

But to be fair about it, this goal and objective was set by forces much larger than Obama. I say this because as we see today, Obama is an extremely ineffective leader at almost every level. Instead of focusing on important things like the Japanese crisis, the Middle East, and important domestic issues, he plays golf, he fills out brackets, and he tours Latin America to create diversions from his incompetence as a leader.

In short, he doesn.t know how to manage a Burger King, much less a country. He is only a prop and a poor one, at that.

But back to Libya, and let me be blunt.

Obama and Soros Inc. want instability in the Middle East for the purpose of replacing the U.S. Dollar as the primary oil trading currency. Soros makes his money by getting currencies devalued, so it stands to reason that he may be hedging his bets on a new currency for the specific purpose of buying and selling oil. (Maybe if he is successful, we can call it the Soro. But I digress.)

So instability is their friend right now. Nothing can cause more willingness to change what has always been, except turmoil and fiercely uncertain conditions in such an important commodity. But as with every diabolical and contrived plot, there are strong possibilities of unintended consequences, which are not being thought about right now in the midst of this mess.

We are signing on to support the "so-called" pro-democracy forces in these nations where tyranny has reigned for so many years. But in the middle of this, we are failing to remember the Iranian Revolution.... whereby one form of tyranny was replaced with another. We are risking all of this for one man who had billions already, to stand the chance of making even more.

We are forgetting that groups that are supportive of al-Qaida (and the dangerous anti-freedom message of Muslim imperialism) is playing a huge role in these demonstrations. What makes us think that al Qaida will make a better form of government than the low-life tyrant we know as Gaddaffi?

Even more troubling is the liberal school of thought, that opportunistically used the Iraq War as political fodder against the GOP and George W. Bush, Now that Obama is President, they are magically supportive of a regime change in Libya and openly for these Sharia Law loving rebels taking control of the oil supply, in the Middle East. And Obama falls directly into this category. He and his Leftist friends questioned the use of military force to effect a regime change in a sovereign nation back then, But now it's okay.

In Iraq, we have spent much time in country and we sacrificed many American lives to see that these groups did not take control of Iraq. How is it that we can be assured this will not happen with no ground troops in Libya?

So to my friends who regularly read this sleepy little blog, I must ask you to think about some things in the closing of this post.

These people have never been able to handle freedom in the past. They seem to need authoritarian leadership of some kind or another. They are not doing well under dictators, but how well will they fare under the tyranny of forces that subscribe to harsh medieval conditions? Will they allow for free elections? I doubt it. Will they allow freedom of speech? Nope. Will they use their oil producing capabilities as weapons? You know they will. And they will use whatever profits they can make, to destroy all those who are not willing to submit to Allah (starting with Israel).

How will it affect other Middle East nations? Will Saudi Arabia fall next with encouragement and military help from the civilized world? Polls show that Osama bin Laden could win an election there, if there were elections. Would that be worth ridding that nation of the monarch whose hand was kissed by President Obama?

Most importantly of all let's think about one more thing. Knowing how ungrateful many people in the Arab world have been concerning the huge toll on American blood spilled to make Iraq free from a brutal dictator, do we really think Libyans will appreciate any effort the U.S. or its allies will put forth?

Personally, I think Gaddaffi is a thug, a creep, and a terrorist responsible for the killing of many of my countrymen. I think he deserves to be dropped into a pit full of hungry crocodiles. But I am not sure he is worth spilling any American blood over, especially when the Libyan people will very likely not appreciate any of it.

Leadership We Can Count On

The aftermath of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami is showing pure devastation, the radiation levels are climbing steadily and are a clear threat to the West Coast of the United States. Libya is in civil war. The entire Middle East is quickly destabilizing right before our very eyes, threatening the world's oil supply.

Gas prices are on the rise with no end in sight. Jobs are still missing from the U.S. economic recovery. The American government is still squabbling over cutting spending, with the big spending liberals failing to read the writing on the wall. The Democrats are walking out of statehouses on orders from mafioso-style unions who are losing their grip on power, thus shutting down the necessary business the state must conduct just to operate.

Basically the world is crashing and burning before out very eyes and what is President Obama doing about all of this?

This morning, as Japan’s nuclear crisis enters a potentially catastrophic phase, we are told that Obama is videotaping his NCAA tournament picks and that we’ll be able to tune into ESPN Wednesday to find out who he likes.

Saturday, he made his 61st outing to the golf course as president, and got back to the White House with just enough time for a quick shower before heading out to party with Washington’s elite journalists at the annual Gridiron Dinner.

But we need to be fair about this. When he's not doing something totally unrelated to any of these self-created distractions his crack team of experts really are thinking about the future. And what are they thinking about? The title of the article says it all:

Obama's team seeks new ways to fire up his base

Now that's leadership we can count on and leadership we can truly trust.....if we want to be led off of a cliff.

Enjoy the tournament folks, this may be the last one we ever see because this nation may in the tank this time next year.

Correlative Context

Here is a story that I found interesting:

It appears that the flu is to blame for causing the White House drug czar to faint twice on a visit to Massachusetts.

That's not the interesting part though.

Those of you who are my age can take a minute and think back to the days of the Soviet Union. Remember when a Soviet leader hadn't been seen in awhile? The official Soviet government response was, he has a cold. Some time later the man would be dead.

Maybe there's no real correlation here, except for the fact that this guy is either a communist or just merely content to work for them.

I certainly wish the man no ill will and hope he recovers soon. But, we have to ask ourselves something here: How much is this administration modeling itself after the Soviet model?

The President has insulated himself with a wall of so-called czars who not accountable to anyone but him. They favor censorship of ideas that conflict with their own (which lead to nothing more than big government-style socialism designed to expand their power over the citizenry).

When they do not get their way while in the minority, they approve of sending in thugs to ransack and protest inside state capitals for the specific purpose of disrupting valid and appropriate state business. When they are in the majority, they ram unpopular legislation down the people's throats and tell them, too bad for you but we won.

It's a game they play, but at our expense. The question now becomes, how much do we want this democratic republic? Are we going to cave into pressure by this criminal element? Or we going to whether the storm, knowing that we are right and they are wrong?

There are more of us than there are of them.

She Lives On Dream Street

Obama hack, Candy Crowley with Donald Rumsfeld:

No burning of Obama in effigy? Candy doesn't do her homework before she makes a fool of herself:

The streets look different? This was in 2009.

Islamists who want Qadaffi out of power blame America. Qadaffi blames America because of the uprising. I'd say it really not that much different than when Bush was in power. But Candy can have her delusions, if she wants.

Desperate Measures In A Surreal Existence

Since late last year, there was a concerted effort to cast Obama as channeling Reagan as part of his miraculous recovery, from liberal tax and spend policies to just plain spend. Someone who says he's Howard Fineman is thus quoted:

"The irony here is that the president is sort of channeling Ronald Reagan in an effort not to become Jimmy Carter ... but the point is, the president is validating the idea of tax cuts as the centerpiece of economic policy."

That was HuffyPo.

In Time magazine, it's still being discussed.

...it became clear to several in the room that Obama seemed less interested in talking about Lincoln's team of rivals or Kennedy's Camelot than the accomplishments of an amiable conservative named Ronald Reagan, who had sparked a revolution three decades earlier when he arrived in the Oval Office.

Okay, let's really channel Reagan right now and see what he would say. Wait....it's coming....hold on......

Thus saith Ronald Wilson Reagan to Barack Obama:

Cut taxes, cut spending, and get government off of the backs of the people. Let the market decide.

Reagan was far from perfect, as even the staunchest of conservatives may not want to admit. He was forced to compromise with a Democratic Congress too often, which always ends up bad. But he picked and chose his battles wisely. And if avoiding being painted like Carter is Obama's goal, it's way too late for that.

As we watch the events in the Middle East unfold and learn more details about the sad economic numbers, it only stands to reason that what we are doing isn't working. If Obama really wants to surrender his heart and soul to what is right and true, this is what he needs to be able to say this publicly... and often.

But somehow we all know this isn't going to happen.

He isn't giving up his core beliefs that includes government being the answer to all problems. He is trying to cozy up for the moment, to see what he can do in order to get the priority things on his agenda through. So far, he's agreed to let people keep the tax cut they already had. Nothing changed.

I really think he and his handlers are trying to BS the people into thinking that he cut taxes, when he really didn't. Simply put, Obama and his wayward Congress didn't allow the Bush tax cuts to expire. Nothing went up or down. He'll have to do way better than that to claim some inner channeling of the Gipper.

Reagan made the country stronger in mind and spirit, and generally uplifted people by restoring their pride in their country. Obama has embarrassed this nation, time and time again by bowing to despots and kissing a monarch's ring. Reagan went to Iceland and walked away from a crappy deal offered to him by Gorbachev, who thought the U.S. President was as weak as the one who preceded him. Obama gave the Russians everything they asked for with no bargaining, whatsoever.

In the desperate moments of what will likely become a failed presidency, it will be hard to note which act or inaction caused the most damage. Equally, it will be difficult to determine how long the damage caused will last. If nothing else, this bunch is setting the thing up for further failure in the next administration, should they not win re-election.

So, we must hope and pray that someone along the way can get some detailed plans together and put them to the test. Getting something solidly together in the the way of spending cuts all around the board, makes a good first gesture. If Mr. Obama is serious, he'll have no problem giving up a goodwill gesture and offer to cut spending in every government department. No exceptions.

Despite these things I noted in this story, I still have to shake my head in disbelief at what we have now seen ourselves become in the last four years, with the last two being the clincher.

We are watching the Middle east explode, we have not seen any real gainful improvement in the jobs numbers, food and oil prices are going up, and we have a press that wants to assist the White House by creating a myth for an image. We are watching nation after nation lose confidence in both, our integrity, resolve, and our financial solvency.

And despite these massive red flags, very few people are the least bit concerned. The biggest dilemma in this life for them is, they cannot decide whether or not they like the new American Idol without Simon.

If this is a dream, please wake me now. If not, pour me a stiff drink.

Combat Mission Over

I am so happy that President Obama has declared that the combat mission of our troops is now officially over, in Iraq.

In fact, I am tickled to no end.

Is it just me? Or are we seeing an escalation in violence towards the remaining U.S. military presence?

The bottom line here is that we may be seeing what can happen when you announce something is over, long before it really is. Remember President Bush on that aircraft carrier?

Note how in the clip that I posted from CNN, Rick Sanchez seems utterly amazed that something like this could happen. He cannot seem to fathom how an Iraqi soldier, one whom we worked so hard to train, could just up and start killing Americans after Obama said it was over.

Sanchez is usually clueless, we all know that. But he really doesn't get this one. He is in a state of bewilderment, he is confusion personified.

Oh well. No matter.

Obama says the war in Iraq is over. That means it's over, so what are we worried about? Probably just another fluke.

Obama's Less Than Full Salute

In my gleaning of news articles, I happened across this little gem yesterday. The title, "Troops yet to give Obama full salute" pretty much says it all.

It should come as no surprise as to why this is.

Part of this unpopularity comes from the simple fact that Obama spent much of his short career as a U.S. Senator, telling the American people that the military could not win the war in Iraq. The other part of this equation comes from the fact that he is now taking responsibility for the victory.

In politics, people do have short memories. But in this case, it's not THAT short.

I remember the first year when boots were on the ground in the land that was once known as Babylon. I remember waking up on Thanksgiving morning of that year, to President George Bush surprising troops having their holiday meal in a land far away from home. They had no clue he was there, they were genuinely surprised, and they proved it by letting out a cheer that caused Nebuchadnezzar to roll over in his grave.

In fact almost anytime George Bush was introduced to military personnel during his tenure, there was a very enthusiastic response. In contrast, people have described responses to Obama as respectful, but quite tepid.

We can debate a lot about a lot of Bush's policies on a good many things and when we conclude our discussions, we can suffice it to say that he was not in any way perfect. I can think of some critical issues on which his action/inaction missed the mark. But even today, he is well-loved by soldiers, sailors, and marines alike.

And if there is any doubt about this, one only needs to watch this video:

The look on these soldiers' faces says much about their deep respect for this man. Not many former Presidents would have taken the time to greet some returning warriors, from a mission that Mr. Obama said would fail. To my knowledge, Bill Clinton has not done it. If he has, I missed it.

But let's get back to the current CIC.

Obama fails the nation on so many fronts and in so many areas, it's not the least bit surprising to me that the military personnel are not very fond of him. Announcing a specific date for beginning the withdrawal from Afghanistan hasn't helped this disconnect much, either.

Now we know it and the world knows it, the Taliban can set a goal of holding on until July 2011. And they can effectively stage attacks as we are withdrawing, so they can use them for propaganda purposes later in their future objectives. Ignorant hate-mongering Islamists will not have the sense to understand the truth behind it, so it will become a great recruiting tool.

Knowing what we know about how Obama has handled the military's affairs in these two wars, I cannot expect that Obama's salute will ever be a full one. In fact, I cannot imagine it ever evolving beyond one finger.

Progammed To Obey

Most people know that the Obama Administration has it in for New Jersey's Governor. They do not like him, because he is for a smaller more efficient government with less power over its citizens.

We all know that when Obama's team cannot control something, their strategy becomes punitive. Take the recent loss of $400 million in federal aid money, as one example. A simple paperwork error was the culprit.

Now, some would point to government inefficiency as the real cause. And for the most part, they are right. The buck must stop with those who screwed up. But as we read in the NYT, there is likely more to this:

Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey initially blamed federal grant evaluators for the fact that his state lost out after filing the wrong budget information with its application. (Mr. Christie has fired his education commissioner over the matter.) But there were other equally self-inflicted wounds, including the Christie administration’s failure to build support for the application among unions and local school districts.

First and foremost, Christie fired his Commissioner because he misled the Governor -- not for the error. But the NYT is not known for its journalistic integrity these days, so why are we not surprised the story has been slanted?

Even more telling is what we see from the bold emphasis (that I added), which is the real reason no one from the federal government cut the state any slack. Unions are no fans of Christie, but they do love Obama. Christie is not in their pockets, but Obama is.

For the real extent of just how serious the $400 million mistake was, take a look at this video of Gov. Christie explaining to all just how this whole thing unfolded:

So there it is. One page out of a thousand. No one picked up the phone.

In all this, I have to say that this guy really is a breath of fresh air and we need more like him. We need to look more towards the straight shooters who stand on moral and ethical principles, instead of BS designed to make people feel good.

Instead of calling the mistake maker out and firing him/her, he looks at this from a very pragmatic perspective. The federal government isn't interested in what is right, but they are interested in retribution. It is equally obvious by the way they hire robots and zombies to not think for themselves that the robots that are programmed to obey all orders. And in this case, the orders were to find a mistake and reject NJ's application, because the Obama programmers didn't live the Governor.

Have You Ever Noticed......?

The Obama model of public communication:

1. Make statement.

2. Clarify statement.

True Vision, True Hope

The proverb states it quite emphatically: Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Although he was not perfect and certainly had his share of flaws, Ronald Reagan had a vision. He knew there were forces that wanted government to grow, at the expense of freedom and liberty. He fought those forces back then and I believe that he knew they would not surrender easily, after he left.

Here is a prime example of today's forces that seek to plant government deeper in our lives at the expense of our personal liberties, and those who will follow us:

We hear many voices, today. We hear them clamor, we hear them insult, we hear them intimidate. Many of us know and understand what their motives are, we knew it back in 2008. But enough people on the fence were willing to ignore the pleas of those of us who knew. And this is what we got for it.

Folks, it's going to be tough. We have a huge mess to clean up and there is no guarantee it will be easy. It may take some time and we may have to make some sacrifices along the way.

But we can do it. If I didn't think we could, I wouldn't be wasting my time typing this out.

It is said that the WWII generation was the world's greatest generation. After all, it was them, who sacrificed so much to save the world from a maniacal madman and his distorted vision for the world. His vision was being implemented by force. They did not fear those who advanced their beliefs by violence and the threat thereof. They were steadfast, brave, and determined to not allow him to succeed.

Today, we have many people in power who have distorted visions of their own. They are not using the barrel of a gun to implement them. But they haven't acquired enough power or leverage from the citizenry to do this just yet.

Nevertheless, they are intent on ramming it down our throats against our will in a different way. They listen not to the people, but to their own selfish and aggrandizing spirits. They issue executive orders and pass unpopular legislation under the guise of humanitarianism, but under it all it is still a huge power grab to set things up for more abuses in the future.

They may not be rolling tanks into our yards right now, but it is still by force.

Today, that great generation is dying off and we who were raised by them are all that is left to carry on that torch. But if within this nation there are a few men and woman who have clear and concise visions of the way things ought to be, then there is an opportunity to restore that which is slipping away from us, and into the hands of an increasingly more corrupt government.

This is our chance, this is our moment. This is my sincere hope.

If we rise to the occasion as it has been done in generations past, we can become an even greater generation than those who preceded us. If not, then their sacrifice will have been in vain, our nation will crumble before our very eyes, and there will be no more hope.

Deficit?.... What Deficit?

When thugs get attention, they often tend to make utter fools of themselves.

To support this claim, I enter into evidence this video of the AFL-CIO President doing just that:

No economist in the country would say we have a deficit problem?

I think Mr. Trumka is either lying or is not very well informed.

Take
this article from the WSJ as my evidence.

The U.S. government spent itself deeper into the red last month, paying nearly $20 billion in interest on debt and an additional $9.8 billion to help unemployed Americans.

Federal spending eclipsed revenue for the 22nd straight time, the Treasury Department said Wednesday. The $165.04 billion deficit, while a bit smaller than the $169.5 billion shortfall expected by economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires, was the second highest for the month on record. The highest was $180.68 billion in July 2009.

The Treasury Department says we have a multi-billion dollar deficit for one month, the WSJ reports it, and this Bozo says it's false. I guess the Treasury Department does not have any economists on staff.

Who knows? Based on what we know about the current Treasury Secretary, he may be right on that one.

Rage With The Machine

It is becoming clearer and clearer that Barack Hussein Obama, the first black President of the United States, has been a disaster in the area of race-relations. His Administration, as demonstrated by his Justice Department, is a major impediment to healing rifts and closing gaps (both, real and perceived).

Despite his promise to unite all Americans (regardless of race, color, or creed), he has widened what was already a deepening and widening chasm. Instead of creating a more harmonious atmosphere where people can learn to live in peace, he and his Administration have sought to antagonize and provoke responses for the sole purpose of promoting strife and hatred.

From the very moment he weighed in on the Cambridge Police Department's incident with Professor Gates without direct knowledge of the incident, he set the entire tone for his presidency. It was at that point, where he chartered the path. By sowing discord among the brethren and putting Americans at odds with each other, he has shown that he and his cronies are not the kind of leaders we need.

How has he done this? By coddling hate groups, for one thing.

Allowing the New Black Panther Party to dodge responsibility for a blatant and obvious crime in Philadelphia has further divided the nation along racial lines. Most people who have any sense at all can see that there was a man threatening people at a polling place on Election Day 2008, and Attorney General Holder failed to uphold the law.

All the while, he is picking and choosing the cases to investigate and prosecute, mostly those that stands the best chance of advancing the causes of the black rage machine. Yes, I said it: The black rage machine. It is manufacturing rage in inner city black communities and it is spilling into average middle class communities, as well..

To these people, it is not about equality anymore. The words of Martin Luther King do not apply to them. They are all about revenge and empowerment, under the guise of social justice.

And they are not the only ones.

Take Jesse Jackson, for instance. He recently called into question an NBA owner's animated (but at the same time childish) written diatribe about losing Lebron James to another team. He said the owner demonstrated a slave owner's attitude toward James, even though the player was paid $62 million over 7 years. I bet if you could resurrect the real slaves who were badly mistreated, they would have gladly signed up for that duty ....in massive numbers.

Jesse has never been a slave, and I bet he would jump at the chance to get paid that kind of money, for producing nothing. He probably gets closer than we think.

Take Al Sharpton, for another fine example. He was in Indianapolis this past weekend trying to stir up problems further. He was visiting predominantly black churches, sowing more discord, as you may guess. He has taken up the cause of a 15 year old bi-racial kid who tried to physically interfere with police, while they were attempting to arrest his younger brother. The kid threw punches at the officers and the officers beat the hell out of him.

Let's be clear here. I do not condone the beating. I think it is a police officer's duty to perform with higher standards than the bottom feeders they must deal with, and demonstrate good professionalism in all cases. But that is a standard that is subject to the human condition and bound by its inherent flaws.

Policemen are flawed human beings and sometimes they are not nice people. There are some who are over-inflated by power and think they are the law, not the enforcers of it. Yet, I do not walk in their shoes, so it is not easy for me to comprehend how they get this way over time.

What they should have done in this case is arrest both kids with just enough force to subdue them, one for the original crime and the other for interfering. But what the media and the self-proclaimed "concerned clergy" should do is make an effort to understand that the young man made a foolish decision, as well as the officers involved.

So far, all we have is rallying cries like "no justice, no peace" and calls for all of the officers present during this incident to be fired and prosecuted. No one has said they have counseled the kid on his behavior and how to prevent it in the future.

Naturally, white kids get stupid and get beaten by cops from time to time too. I have yet to see Sharpton create a scene in those instances. I have never seen the "concerned clergy" outraged when a Caucasian is mistreated and oppressed by rogue cops. This is how we can conclude that he loves using the race card to stay visible in his actions and motives.

But what really is interesting is one of the faces you see in the picture found in the last link.

The man on the right is Mmoja Ajabu, former leader of the Indianapolis Black Panther Militia--the group that terrorized the city with threats and intimidation in the 90s. One time he shook down a Korean-owned hair care business that had a customer base comprised moslty of blacks. He told them they were profiting from blacks as customers... that he needed to give back to the community that had made him so successful. Of course that meant giving the money to his terrorist organization.

But his coup de grace came later after he was fired from his day job for carring a handgun to work. He was charged and convicted of intimidation, after his son was convicted for his role in a grisly triple murder. Three young people had their throats slashed, during a robbery. His son was not the man who did the killing, but he was present and in the middle of committing another felony. In Indiana, that's enough to be charged with and convicted of murder.

Mr. Ajabu was a Muslim and a Black Panther at the time of his threats toward the family members who lost their loved ones that fateful evening. He said that if his son was to be given the death penalty by the judge in his son's case, "other death sentences would be carried out". Naturally, it wasn't well received by the authorities. But since this time, he has converted to Christianity and is now an assistant minister of a church involved with the "concerned clergy".

That's all well and good. Everyone loves a story of true redemption. However, one must ask if he has retained much of the "Black Theology Doctrine" he was so well known for before his Road to Damascus moment.

There was a time over 25 years ago, I thought that the racial divisions of the past were much closer to being healed. If not, progress was certainly being made. At that time, I had many black friends that I would see from time to time and argue sports with them, over a cold beer. We laughed joked and genuinely had a great time.

I have been in black bars at the invitation of some these people. I spent one evening watching a basketball game with the owner of one such establishment. The friend who took me in there was playing pool, while the old guy and I were discussing how we would coach the game being played. I was buying beer, he was selling it. No one gave me any trouble, not a mean word was said.

But I couldn't do that today.

Those old places are gone. That generation has died off. Many who knew them have become more enraged because of the day-to-day activities of radical hate-mongers. They have put their faith and confidence in race baiting ministers, who share responsibility with a complicit media. They are churning out black rage as a product, rather than a byproduct. They are a part of the machine.

At this point in time, I do not believe that I could be a guest in a place like that anymore, without being a target. Fpr one thing, I could not because there is a good chance that no one would invite me. But mostly it is because I would not be welcome in most of those places, solely because of my skin color. And when I sit and think about it, it's sad for so many reasons.

They say that as we age, we get more like ourselves everyday. If we are a sanguine personality, we will become more happy-go-lucky as we mature. If we are melancholy, we will get more pensive and possibly depressed.

If this is true, then I would think other personality traits follow that same course. If we are not a racist when we are young, isn't it likely we will get to be less of one as we age?

I wasn't a racist back then. And I am not one now. But it is time for the black community to reject the messages of victimhood, time to stop letting the "so-called" voices from proclaiming that it is their destiny to suffer at the hands of evil white people. It is time to stop propagating hate and allowing the advancement of such to continue, unabated.

If not, we face a certain future.

March Of The Parrot Brains

No.... it's not a new horror movie. It's more about the sycophant nature of Jimmy Buffet's followers and fans. They are nuts about him, to the degree that many think Margaritaville is really a town. It's why many of them will go to his restaurant chain called Cheeseburger In Paradise, and allow themselves to be overcharged for an average to below average cheeseburger.

But that's another post, under another category, for another day. There is a more important flaw that I'd like to highlight here.

No doubt you have heard that the chief parrot brain is going to do a benefit for victims of the Gulf oil disaster, which is a good thing. But in the midst of his planned act of altruism, when discussing the "how we got to this point" aspect of this tragedy, he cannot resist making ignorant statements like this one:

"To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases. I think that has more to do with it than how the president reacted to it."

I do not mind saying that Jimmy Buffet (like many other entertainers) is a good entertainer. I have liked some of his music and I hear he is a great performer. But it is overly apparent that he is an idiot when it comes to some of the things that matter most in life.

Evidently, he doesn't have a lot of critical thinking skills.

If he did, they could get him out of this mess despite the fact that he doesn't know history very well -- despite the fact that he has a degree in history. Maybe the reefer he smoked back then rewired the circuits in his brain. I cannot say for sure on that one, but he has missed the mark.

You see, George W. Bush was only one year old when drilling and exploration began in the Gulf of Mexico. He was only a teenager when the first semi-submersible oil rig was used there.

He did not start it, he did not invent it. He was not in office when BP was given a pass on rigorous inspections that might have prevented this mess. He wasn't around when BP gave massive amounts of money to the Obama campaign in the 2008 election, so as to gain government favor(s) in the race for green technology.

Besides all of these little sticky things we call facts, old Jimmy still finds a way to do the only thing an entire administration and congress can do. And that is to deflect responsibility - for their many dismal failures. That is why they blindly and ignorantly blame George W. Bush for everything that has ever befallen mankind, since the fall of Adam and Eve.

If use logic to sort this out, I would think it would be simple to follow. For a promoter of the Gulf lifestyle and culture to not recognize that the events leading up to this mess (and the willful obstruction of recovery efforts) were the results of the Obama Administration's incompetence, is anything but remarkable.

Recovery Summer

Strike up the band let the parades begin. It's now officially summer and the Administration is kicking off a huge sales-pitch promotion called Recovery Summer.

I am sure there will be bands, cookouts, celebrations, and parties everywhere..... except in the Gulf Region:

The oil washing up on the Gulf Coast is threatening to suffocate local businesses. As Katie Couric reports, it could be years before they find out exactly how much the spill is costing these businesses.

And I doubt there will be a lot of hiring in the new housing industry:

Sales of new homes collapsed in May, sinking 33 percent to the lowest level on record as potential buyers stopped shopping for homes once they could no longer receive government tax credits.

So much for the Recovery Summer....

....and the band played on.
