Gas prices are on the rise with no end in sight. Jobs are still missing from the U.S. economic recovery. The American government is still squabbling over cutting spending, with the big spending liberals failing to read the writing on the wall. The Democrats are walking out of statehouses on orders from mafioso-style unions who are losing their grip on power, thus shutting down the necessary business the state must conduct just to operate.
Basically the world is crashing and burning before out very eyes and what is President Obama doing about all of this?
This morning, as Japan’s nuclear crisis enters a potentially catastrophic phase, we are told that Obama is videotaping his NCAA tournament picks and that we’ll be able to tune into ESPN Wednesday to find out who he likes.
Saturday, he made his 61st outing to the golf course as president, and got back to the White House with just enough time for a quick shower before heading out to party with Washington’s elite journalists at the annual Gridiron Dinner.
But we need to be fair about this. When he's not doing something totally unrelated to any of these self-created distractions his crack team of experts really are thinking about the future. And what are they thinking about? The title of the article says it all:
Obama's team seeks new ways to fire up his base
Now that's leadership we can count on and leadership we can truly trust.....if we want to be led off of a cliff.
Enjoy the tournament folks, this may be the last one we ever see because this nation may in the tank this time next year.
Recall Obama In 2012

This evening, I read on the web that Obama will shortly be off to Rio. To do what? To party?
Why not? It's not like he has the capability to do anything anyway. He and his Administration are as worthless as mammary glands on a boar hog.
He might as well be known as the frat rat President.
C'mon, he's doing a heckuva job.
AOW, beat me to it. I saw the article about Rio too. It's an official state visit, in which he's taking his wife and daughters to.
AC,
I am just glad you left the "Brownie" part off of that Sharpton and Jackson would have petitioned Blogger/Google to have us all kicked off.
Hey Chuck,
Wink wink, nudge nudge. Say no more, say no more.
The only thing MaObama fires up is my blood pressure!
Catherine,
I don't think you are alone in that respect. But if we let it get to us, we will be miserable for the next two years. I say focus on recalling him in 2012. I can't see how anyone thinks he's done anything to warrant re-election.
