Mon AM QB

Packer 31 - Steelers 25

This is the last one of the year. But in all honesty I must confess that I went to bed after the halftime show nauseated me. If my Facebook news feed was any indication, I wasn't the only one.

As for the game, I didn't have much a dog in the fight. That and the fact I have been dealing with a medium-level family crisis the past 3 days, I just didn't have much interest this year.

It sounds like it was a good game down the stretch. Aaron Rodgers was the MVP, as he has finally blossomed into the elite QB status (where the media has had him since he took over for Favre). My congrats go out to Green Bay and their fans.

Now, it's your turn to tell me what I missed in the second half and any other thoughts you have on the past season, here in the season's last edition of Mon AM QB.

Until September.....when we can once again see Greg say that Eli Manning is the most overrated QB in the league and Rocket tell us just how much he hates the Dallas Cowboys.

I thought it was a good game and either team deserved to win. Like you I didn't have druthers either way.

Even though it was a good game, there was a part of me that kept thinking "these are the best two teams in the NFL?"

I saw a lot of dropped passes that shouldn't have been dropped. Two interceptions that shouldn't have been thrown.

Maybe I was too critical but beyond the defenses of both, which were quite good, I was a little underwhelmed.

Like, Chuck, I was frustrated with the level of play.

Also, I was utterly annoyed and baffled by Mike McCarthy's strategy after going up 21-3. Had he decided to run the ball more, I think the Steelers would have had to rely on Rapelesberger's arm, and it could have turned into a real blow-out for the Packers. Instead, they pretty much ran the same damned play every single snap, and really allowed Pittsburgh to get back into the game.

In the end, I'm just glad the Steelers lost.

Happy to see the Packers win. Next year will see the resurrection of the Redskins and I will be celebrating their Superbowl win in 2012.

I saw that in the first half. I attributed that to being a bit nervous. Like I said, i didn;t see the second half, but I hear it happened then too.

When the running game is going good, that's what I say. But maybe he had a lot of confidence in Rodgers to stay out in front.

Just a guess.
