An Unimportant Quote

Supposedly, this is the latest press release from Al Gore.

Last week on his show Bill O’Reilly asked, “Why has southern New York turned into the tundra?” and then said he had a call into me. I appreciate the question.

As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now and they say that increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming:

“In fact, scientists have been warning for at least two decades that global warming could make snowstorms more severe. Snow has two simple ingredients: cold and moisture. Warmer air collects moisture like a sponge until it hits a patch of cold air. When temperatures dip below freezing, a lot of moisture creates a lot of snow.”

“A rise in global temperature can create all sorts of havoc, ranging from hotter dry spells to colder winters, along with increasingly violent storms, flooding, forest fires and loss of endangered species.”

You see, this is why Saturday Night Live is not that good anymore. In the old days, they would have been all over this. There is no way this goes without a skit.

In just a day or two, the system that is slamming me with ice right now will be in NYC and surely the producers will find this quote very amusing.

But if that's not the case, maybe this flashback will help stir up the creative comedic storms (pun intended):

On second thought, maybe the skit has already been written.

Interpretation:

Anything that happens, wet or dry, hot or cold, is because of global warming.

It's the scam that knows no end.

I hear that there is a rash of hangnails these days, due to global warming. People are anxious and naturally are biting their nails because of this great man-made disaster. Have you noticed a trend in the ER?

Glaciers are all retreating, eh?

He lied to us, he played on our fears!

That's what bastards do. That's why they are put on this earth.

I've been thinking of the British 'climate expert' - David Viner - who said ten years ago that winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event,” and "Children just aren’t going to know what snow is." I guess the "science" has changed dramatically in the last ten years. Rest assured that if next winter is warmer and drier than usual, it will be due to man-made climate change.

When the data doesn't support a hypothesis, just change the parameters. The common idiot will buy it.

Will anyone in the press ever challenge Gore on his assumption of the earth's temperature a few miles below the surface? That would be must-see TV.

If only he would submit himself to a true press conference. If only he would debate in a public forum.

He does neither... so how can ANYONE put him to the test on the science?

True scientists are those who look for answers, without regard to the outcome. They submit themselves to a panel of their peers, their fellow scientists, and they are usually brutal in their questioning. Not to be mean necessarily (although sometimes it is), but usually to deeply critique and research the body of work of someone who wants them to accept it.

That hasn't been the case here. In this case, we have leftist socialists selling their souls to GE and presenting it as science. Some socialists, huh?
