"I think it would be a profound mistake for us to use nuclear weapons in any circumstance," Obama said...
But, he quickly realized what he'd said and tried to tap dance his way out of it.
Then he quickly added, "Let me scratch that. There's been no discussion of nuclear weapons. That's not on the table".
Well, he almost did.
The more this guy talks the less intelligent he appears. Even if you never intend to use a nuke, you never tell anyone this, or it clearly invites trouble. Hillary is right, Obama is naive and there is no room for greenhorns in the White House.
UPDATE:
Apparently, his words are going to be easy to use against him. Even Hillary realizes what a blunder this is.
"Presidents should be very careful at all times in discussing the use or nonuse of nuclear weapons," Clinton said. "Presidents since the Cold War have used nuclear deterrence to keep the peace. And I don't believe that any president should make any blanket statements with respect to the use or nonuse of nuclear weapons."
Precisely.

I was just having this discussion with someone, but about a local politician - not Obama. My conversation partner said the local pol was stupid. I said he's not stupid - just inexperienced. When an inexperienced person opens his mouth, he can look stupid.
Anyway, isn't it clear now that Hillary is far and away the best candidate on the Democrats' side? The others are such pretenders. It's no contest....
Greg,
//Anyway, isn't it clear now that Hillary is far and away the best candidate on the Democrats' side?//
It's beginning to look that way, and that's sad. Real sad.
