Sorry, but there isn't much time for me to post a lot right now. But todays the new Congress takes charge. Here's a man who I am looking forward to seeing make speeches on the House floor:
If he and the others like him can make some noise, we can make some significant strides in slowing down this juggernaut we call the federal government. We need to:
1. Slow it
2. Stop it
3. Reverse its direction.
Don't expect miracles right away. But we must be methodical and persistent.

This group of Republicans unfortunately remind me a bit of BHO as presidential candidate: lots of lofty non-specific promises about change. I would love to see massive changes to the health care law, such as removing special deals and exemptions. I would like to see massive budget cuts across the board. I would like Social Security reform. I'm not holding my breath for any of these.
Just an Uncle Tom, nothing to see here. Move along.
I've got an almost child-like optimism based on some of these new Congressfolks. They really seem to get it.
It's almost the same way I felt when the Titans were 5-2.

It's mostly symbolism because it's barely a half a drop in water tower. But so far Boehner has cut the Congressional budget by 5% and gave that jumbo jet Pelosi used back. It's going to take much much more, but we will see how loud the TEA Party candidates are going to be when the compromises are being talked about.
I suspect many, if not all of them, are going to be very vocal and downright raucous if they have to. I think Allen West will be one of them. At that point, we the people, will be the key. We will need to flood the phones just like we did for Obamacare and other BS legislation.
