Meet MSNBC's Minor Leaguer Lawrence O'Donnell

First let me say that once again, I shamelessly pilfered this from IHTM, once of the fastest growing blogs on the internet. If you aren't reading them, seek professional help somewhere before it's too late.

This is a great interview that demonstrates just what happens when idiots are allowed an audience. Take a few minutes and watch Condoleeza Rice thoroughly dismantle a clearly outclassed and under-qualified Lawrence O'Donnell. If you want to see what obtuseness coupled with sheer idiocy looks like when it is contrasted with class and intellectual brilliance, it is worth the time.

Rarely do I do this here, but this is very important to understand. So I will make an exception and post my comment I left on IHTM:

The golden statement of that entire exchange was made by Dr. Rice:

“You have to act on the intelligence you have.”

Lawrence has no intelligence, so he has been relegated to the mere recitals of leftist propaganda that is fed to him by those who are as equally ignorant as he is.

I looked online at Mr. O’Donnell’s bio(s) to see his educational resume, and I have to tell you that most sites I checked say he only”attended” Harvard, if they mentioned it at all. Only Wikipedia states that he graduated, but it gives no area of study and we all know how unreliable Wiki can be sometimes. If he were truly a grad of Harvard, I would think somewhere in one of these bios it would say Bachelors Degree in _______. But this is not the case with Larry.

But let’s just say for argument’s sake, he did.

By contrast, Dr. Rice was Phi Beta Kappa and earned a B.A. (cum laude) from the University of Denver. She earned a Masters Degree in political science at Notre Dame, and a PhD from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the U. of Denver.

We all know of her government service. She is also an accomplished pianist who has played with Yo Yo Ma. She is now a professor at Stanford and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution.

Larry is a Dem hack at MSNBC and a former shitty actor.

So, yes. You have to act on the intelligence you have. Condi did just that in this interview and Larry O acted on the intelligence he didn’t/doesn’t have.

And it showed…..greatly.

I think this pretty much sums up this block of instruction, quite well. Lawrence O'Donnell, irrelevance personified. Dr. Rice, rational thought and reasoning in human form.

Larry O'D and the rest of his ilk over at MSNBC are under the mistaken idea that "hard hitting journalism" means being rude and condescending. He was way out of his league with Condi Rice.

Granted, I was never a HUGE fan of Condi and didn't agree with everything that she did, but in general, there was never a doubt that what she was doing was out of love for her (our) country, unlike that phony sitting in the Oval Office now.

I wish more Republicans would set the tone for their interviews immediately, just as she did. To tell him that he either quit keeping her from answering the question or she would walk was enough to put that hack in his place. When he tried to do it again, she again corrected him.

Good move on her part. Just for the heck of it, I just looked over at Huffpost to see if they had anything about this interview on their blog...nothing. Which means even they see that Larry O'D was rolled by Condi. Ha! Usually they try to twist the facts and write commentary that they won...no matter what the real truth is. Most of their readers are too stupid to know any better than what they are told on Huffpost.

Using the Barack Obama model he must be a racist.

I couldn't get the video to play but quiet frankly I view Condi Rice as one of the smartest people in Washington (or she was when she was there). I realize this isn't a huge compliment given the aggregate IQ in Washington but still...

AC,

Careful, they will say you are racist for even suggesting he is racist.

Chuck,

Try watching it as the MSLSD site:

It's really worth it.

I finally got it to work by finding it at YouTube. NBC's video sucks.

I admit I felt a little guilty watching it though. It's sort of like a car accident, you know the poor bastard is suffering and you should look away but your eyes are drawn to it anyways.

She handed his rear-end to him.

I loved how she told him that if he didn't let her answer, the interview was over.

This is why libs hate Fox, just a little in reverse.

On any other network they get to go on and spew their talking points without anyone calling them on it. For instance, most libs will not be interviewed by Sean Hannity. He doesn't let them get away with the blatant lies that O'Donnell was trying to sell.

It is the same with lib commentators on networks like MSNBC. MSNBC will try to say that they have Republicans on to give balance but their "Republicans" will be someone like Arlen Specter or Olympia Snowe.

They will not have someone like Condi Rice or Karl Rove because they will fight back.

Either give him credit for being willing to do this or consider him stupid, you choose.

Finally, at the end of the YouTube video he was announcing that Rachel Maddow was coming on next to give her thoughts on the Rice interview. That would have been entertaining.

A.C., this doesn't work for Condi because she is a conservative so she's not a "real" black person. No racism here.
