Stop: In The Name Of America

I am not in a particularly humorous mood today, so there will be no Friday Funnies.

I will say this very clearly, with no fears or reservations. I want it to be utterly clear just where I stand. I do not now, nor have I ever, supported malicious acts as a means of protest. I do not condone threats of violence on any elected official, for any reason.

In case someone did not understand me, let me say again that I am not supporting any act that threatens any of our government officials. None. Not one.

All it takes is a handful of crazies to create the impression that the political opposition is complicate in the criminal acts that I have condemned. The vast majority of those who do not support this current government or its leftist policies, are not the kind of people who approve of this either.

And the Democratic leadership knows it.

All it takes is an opportunist bunch of politicians who cannot resist embellishment to score political points, and a complicate media that gives them the forum to do so. They want this to be a big deal, so they can justify taking more extreme measures down the road, to solidify their power and control over those who are not in lock-step with them.

So, let's be clear once again. If anyone who stumbles along this blog is tempted to allow their righteous indignation to turn into the kind of rage that leads to violence and criminal threats, just stop it. Stop it now.

There are politicians (like Jim Clyburn, and the President of the United States of America) who find it politically expedient to taunt and dare the crazies to do things like this. They would rather add fuel to the fire, they want discord.

The modus operandi of this current government has been (and still is) to create the illusion that something is far worse than it really is. And what's worse, they use that strategy as a means and a platform to campaign to show people, that they alone are the ones who can put a stop to it.

They never met a problem that couldn't be generated into a crisis. There has never been a crisis they couldn't fix.

All the while, they use fear and intimidation to coerce people to get in line. They use ridicule as a science to berate and goad people into angry responses so they can crack down with more authority. And it only works when people let these bastards manipulate them into their traps.

Everyone needs to stop and stop right now. It is childish, it is wrong, and it's not the kind of America that most decent people want.

I have a few thoughts on this

-First, you are right. There is no room for this nonsense. Violence, or the threat of, is violence, no matter what it is for.

-I think some of it may have been staged by the left, or, at the very least greatly embellished.

-Finally, they pointed out on Fox and Friends this am that some of the Congressmen who were voting against the health care bill were getting threat from the left for their stance. This is a fact the media completely ignored.

The state run media also failed to mention that Eric Cantor's Richmond, VA office now has a bullet hole in the window where some kook fired into it. There are nuts in every barrel, but the MainScream Media is only good at looking at the tea party and projecting their left wing illusions.

In light of what Chuck said about staged events and left wing tactics... there is this quote.

"...in the spring of 1972..students asked Alinsky to help plan a protest of a scheduled speech by George H. W. Bush... He told them, instead, to go to hear the speech dressed as members of the Ku Klux Klan, and whenever Bush said something in defense of the Vietnam War, they should cheer and wave placards reading,... ‘The KKK supports Bush.'" ~Let Them Call Me Rebel by Sanford Horwitt

This is a tactic used by "deceitful community organizers", so is it any surprise that the Democrats, on the day this legislative POS is signed, they go on the defensive and make accusations? With all the smoke and mirrors, one can not know what is real and what is contrived.

Ham is right on the mark with this and I completely agree with Sunset; acts of violence are exactly what the left wants —it is what they hope happens, and I would not be surprised to learn that some claims of having received threats were fabricated or exaggerated. On the other hand, we can easily understand the threats. People are angry and they know this is no more than socialized medicine and no matter how well the Democrats try to conceal the truth, the people know the Congress is screwing them without the benefit of Vaseline. Just yesterday, several large companies announced that conformance with government controlled health care will necessitate laying of five-hundred to a thousand employees. Good show, Democratic Party … good show!

But we should make a distinction between making threats and attempting to carry them out. One of these is simply a manifestation of genuine anger. The other is a manifestation of not being able to control that anger. Neither of these is good for moderates and conservatives who want their country back. One short reminder: Obama didn’t elect himself.

I got in a huge argument with my daughter yesterday as she was spewing the progressive talking points about how terrible the Republicans and "Tea-baggers" and blah blah blah. When I, like you, said I never condone such actions, however this same kind of sh&t went on with the Obots toward Palin in the last election.

I pointed out the hanging effigy of Sarah Palin used as a Halloween decoration. The police and authorities just chalked it up to some good clean fun.

I pointed out the man who had his finger bitten off at a health care rally by a "Progressive Democrat".

I pointed out the incident where the black man who was selling t-shirts outside one of the rally's was beataen up by an SEIU thug. It was on video and the Progressives still wouldn't believe it.

There was a guy who was arrested for carrying some Molotov Cocktails outside a Bush rally.

Chris Matthews aid this on one of his programs in October: "You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody's going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he's going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we'll be there to watch. I think he's Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?"

(I'm not a fan at all of Rush Limbaugh's but I wouldn't want to see someone stick a CO2 pellet into his head.)

Huffington Post had a a column by David Bourgeois with the title, Obama Better Start Breaking Kneecaps.

"You’ve given it your best shot, you’ve tried numerous times to talk with the Republicans, to negotiate, to meet them halfway on every single matter before the American people. But they hate you for many reasons. It’s time you break kneecaps (bold in original). It’s time to destroy the Republican Party. They don’t deserve a seat at the table when all they want to do is score political points by being the Party of No."

(That article had the image of a bat with Obama's name on it for special effects. Nice, eh?)

Obama told his supporters to "Get in your neighbors face" if they don't listen to them.

He also said, "If they bring a knife to the fight, you bring a gun."

Last April, a guy with a rifle threatened a Republican official in Las Vegas. His trial is coming up soon.

I can go on and on...but you get my point. My daughter said, "It's not the same thing." You can't argue with Obama supporters.

Didn't Rahm say something about always taking advantage of a good crisis? This is exactly what the Democrats are doing. In the meantime, the MSM is covering this and not covering the news that is coming out about what's in the bill...and it ain't health "care", more like health "scare".

Sorry for the long comment. I'll shut up now. ;-)

Nothing would surprise me. In fact, I'd be somewhat shocked to learn they didn't stage a lot of this.

And yet....there are still just less than half of the electorate who give him a favorable rating. Except for the thugs and sycophants who are under the magical spell, who are these people? Are there that many? Or is this just manufactured?

I take it he is an Obama Zombie. They have invaded the earth.

Where are the Men In Black when you need them? If only a real Tommy Lee Jones character really existed.

Someone with some guts and a genuine concern for this country must step forth and make some sense. This someone needs to have a real love and concern for this country, he must be the kind that places his own interest behind that of the republic. Most of all, he must be genuine.

Does such a guy exist?
