Rangeling In Troubled Waters

We have all known for a long time about Charlie Rangel's ethical issues. We have covered his corruption at PYY before. We have had no qualms about referring to him as a fraud and a criminal.

If this isn't enough for the Dems right just before the biggest mid-term election ever, now comes Maxine Waters with her share of problems.

You know her. She's one of the idiots who in 2004 told us there was nothing wrong with Fannie and Freddie, the same idiot who openly stated she wanted to nationalize the oil industry. She is the same idiot that castigated Newt Gingrich on the House floor for his issues back in 1995.

But now she is about to enter the same world as Chuck Rangel. She is about to face an ethics trial for the usual offenses, padding a spouse's pocket -- which in this case, is as good as her own.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., plans to go through a House trial to contest charges of misusing her office, NBC News confirmed Friday night.

A House ethics subcommittee says Waters, 71, improperly intervened in 2008 with federal regulators to help get bailout funds for a bank that her husband owned stock in and on whose board he once served, said NBC and other media reports. Waters also once held stock in the bank.

This will be interesting, to say the least.

It seems that Rangel has been offered a deal to basically leave the House "with dignity". Dems want this badly, before his trial becomes an ad for GOP candidates everywhere in November. Think of it as another race baiting crook being thrown under the bus. (I would call him a sacrificial lamb, but I think a goat is more appropriate here.)

I say that if he wanted to leave with dignity, he should have left after his first term ..... long before he had the opportunity to steal millions from the American people. But he did not. He arrogantly held onto power and thumbed his nose at those who were appalled by his criminal deeds.

One can only wonder if the same thing will play out in the Waters situation.

Will they offer her up as a sacrificial goat, for the good of the Progressive movement?

Will she take the deal and run away from the cash cow that has enriched her and Rangel greatly, while at the same time demonizing the rich who actually produce something?

Or will both of them dig their heels in against the racist conspiracy to remove black voices from the Federal Legislature?

Personally, I hope they stay in and fight these racist charges. I hope they do it and drag every last damned Democrat down with them in the process. I want this to be shown on C-Span in September and October, while people are thinking about who they will vote for in November. I want this to be p[art of the narrative that brings down Pelosi, and reverts her back to being a shill on the hill WITHOUT a gavel.

I hope they leave a lasting impression of corrupt employees who must be taken from the place by security, while kicking, screaming, and threatening lawsuits all the way to their cars. I hope Fox is on that scene with cameras and live audio.

I hope, I hope, I hope. But I will not hold my breath in the process.

I too hope these people stick around and show the rest of the American people how corrupt they are, and by association, Obozo.

Tom,

Think how much the RNC can save on campaign ads nationwide. This will be a case of the ads writing themselves.

I say this is just the beginning. I want to see the GOP to retake at least one chamber of Congress and put the entire administration on display. The impeachment of Eric Holder would be a good place to start.

Beyond that, your racism for reporting on this at all is appalling.

Don't you know the protocol?

When GOP is in power and Democrats are charging corruption- it's a culture of corruption in the GOP.

When the Dems are in power and the GOP is charging corruption- well, everybody does it. Everyone is corrupt. Congress is corrupt, etc.

And Charlie Rangel is a war hero and a really really really great guy who started the Congressional African American Caucus.

So it ain't over. As usual, the mainstream media will determine our conventional wisdom via coverage and slant. Maybe we'll finally know what to officially think when Tina Fey and the SNL crowd takes a side.

if we take over Congress in November, can we kill that mosque deal in NYC? No?
That's important, fellas..more than we know. Someone BIG is behind that and Americans are sleeping through it. Again.

As for Rangle and Waters...ptui

Don't forget Stewart and Colbert. More stoned slackers get their news from them, than any other media sources. That's an important demographic for any advertiser that targets parental basement dwellers.

Probably not. But Dennis Miller said we should put a battered women shelter next door or across the street. There may be some value to that.

I'm going to apply for a building permit to build a church and synagogue in Riyadh next to the place where they stone the devil every year during the Hadj.

You have a better chance of surviving a game of Russian Roulette with one empty chamber.

To put it simply, there are cheaper ways of committing suicide.

Maybe they are on holiday?
