I wanted to let every one know that tomorrow, at this very time, I am scheduled to have surgery and will most likely be under general anesthesia. It's a relatively minor surgery compared to many, but as surgeries go, it is not without risk. So, if this blog falls mysteriously silent, you'll know that I did not fare so well.

For those of you that pray, I ask you to give me a mention in yours. For those of you that don't (like Super Frenchie), just removing the pin from your LASunsett voodoo doll may prove helpful. At any rate, I will try to get some posts up later in the day. As always, thank you for reading PYY, and hopefully there will be much more to read here, in the future.

As a Platonist, I can't pray for you but I'll do the next best think. I'll keep you in mind. ;-) Hope things turn out well.

Thank you, sir.

You know me...the rabid Catholic! Of course, I'll be happy to pray for you! I have confidence all will turn out well for you, LA. ;-)

Look at the bright side, while in your drug induced slumber, you may come up with another great post for your blog. Of course, we may not know what you are talking about, but at the very least, it will be funny!

Good luck, kiddo!

Mary Ellen,

Thank you.

The last time I had surgery was 22 years ago and it was a 3 hour procedure and was a much more extensive procedure. I didn't know the world was turning. This one is only supposed to last about an hour and if I do okay, I can home later the same day.

I have to say I have been one lucky guy as far as health is concerned. The only risk factor I have is I am a smoker. I have weaned way down, but it's still a risk factor nonetheless.

Thanks again, I appreciate your kind words.

I wish you well, LA. You are in my prayers; please drop me a line when you are able.

Thank you sir. And don't worry, my wife will be there. She is not a very large woman, but dynamite comes in small packages. She would level the building ;)

You are probably already going in or done by the time I read this. I hope all goes well and my prayers are with you.

Thank you AICS.

I am doing pretty well, considering. I am a bit loopy from the pain meds, but I am pretty comfortable.

Hey, I had not seen this post. Too late for removing the pins in the voodoo doll, but since apparently you're now doing well, the voodoo doll concept appears to be just as efficient as prayer... ;)

Anyway, hope you feel better :)

Hi SF,

Thank you sir. I am getting stronger everyday. The first few days were rough, very sore. I went trhough a bottle percocets in four days. I hate being dopey, but dammit I was hurting.

May even get back to work next week.
