Questions For Obama

From George Will comes this essay in which he poses some serious questions to Barack Obama - questions that voters need to ask themselves, before they consider voting for him.

On My Switch From Clinton to Obama

Former DNC Chairman Joe Andrew tries to justify switching his allegiance from the Hillary camp to Obama's. I don't need to say that this is mighty peculiar and smells of some under the table promises made to him - possibly made by those that are now in control of the national party. Either that or some threats were made. You see,.Joe is the quintessential politician and that means he wants to keep his options open for a future run for Governor, in his home state of Indiana. But what he isn't taking into account here is the fact that this may very well come back to bite him, if/when he makes that run.

The Latest Polls In The Democratic Contest

They are out. Here's a report on a couple in NC that shows Hillary gaining on Obama. Here are a couple from Indiana. One is from Rasmussen, it shows her with a five percentage point lead over Obama. Another is from TeleResearch, which shows her with a commanding ten point lead. I now find it interesting that superdelegates are finding the pressure being increased by the national party, to declare their support for Obama before the people have made their choices, Just goes to show how utterly undemocratic the Democratic Party really is. For all intents and purposes, the very name of their organization has become an oxymoron.

NYT: Wright Not A Factor In Indianapolis

The NYT goes to a section of Indy, known as Broad Ripple. It is an artsy, avant garde area that college kids and elitist liberals seem to gravitate to. It has bars, trendy restaurants, and various kinds of shops that you will not find in a mall. There - they interview a few people on the topic of Rev. Wright's effect on Obama's candidacy. The NYT then comes up with the notion, in this area of the city, it will have little effect.

Brilliant work. This is precisely the demographic that will support Obama come hell or high water. It's the demographic that is more concerned about which band is at the Vogue this weekend, what color hair goes better with an outfit, or older people like myself, trying to recapture their youth by hanging out in trendy cafes during the day. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out and shows us one reason why the NYT is so much financial trouble.
