Cracks In The Ceiling

After initially enjoying an almost 70% approval rate, the President has been seeing his numbers sink. Gallup now has him at 56%, still more than half of the respondents are happy with his performance, but he is losing ground fast.

The more interesting poll comes from Rasmussen.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 32% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –5.

This gap is increasing almost weekly now. With every blunder, domestic or international, he is losing ground. Some people will be more hard to sell than others, but it will not be long before the most stubborn holdouts will have to admit they made one huge mistake last November.

It is important, for those of us who knew this guy was smoke and mirrors from the beginning, to understand something. We must welcome those who were duped back into the fold, without rubbing their noses in it. Remember the parable of the prodigal son? They have strayed for but a short while. But we must forgive them and reunite for the cause/fight that is ahead of us. We need them.

No, you tampon; we need to beat those stupid bastards as if they were redheaded stepchildren so that they won’t ever place American in jeopardy again. What’s the matter with you, Sunsett? This damn liberalization of Political Yen and Yang won’t fly, dude. Grow a pair, will ya?

Your friend,

Eric Cartman

Apparently, Cartman’s weekend with Gunny Asche produced an entirely different result than you anticipated, LA. His persona as an opinionated little prick appears to be getting worse.

However, I do tend to agree that your kinder-gentler approach may not solve our underlying problem in this country: the average voter has a 2-kilobite memory chip. Some bloggers are even betting that Ă˜bama will manage to serve a third term. Whether this is even possible remains to be seen, but I do credit Greg with amazing foresight. He’s already begun constructing an ark in his back yard. I sent him ten grand as a guarantee for passage when the time comes. And of course, this begs the question, “Is Mr. Sunsett the cheap bastard everyone thinks he is, or will he also cough up the money needed to save his own skin?”

Time will tell, but since The Mustang Group LLC has first-hand joint venture experience with Sunset Enterprises, Inc., I have my doubts.

Using such terms as smoke and mirrors will not get you invited to a White House dinner. You have been warned.

We don’t have this problem in my world; we just smell each other’s butts and we know immediately when someone is full of crap.

Haven't yet met someone big enough to admit making a mistake. It's hard to change religion, you know.

I'm with Cartman, beat them like a rented mule.

3 BIG time libs I know admit to having made a mistake in their vote, in only the last 3 weeks...and that's just little ol' me and MY life and who I know.
Extrapolate that with all of you and who YOU know, etc etc, and you've got some numbers...and you're right..be gentle and educate; they'll be voting in 2010.
it's America's only hope.

There are a lot of independents who were duped. It is they of hwom I speak. You are right though. The core of the Libs/Dems will never admit failure, nor will they change.

Chuck, I think we should beat CARTMAN like a rented mule.

Z, Imagine how many there are who haven't the courage to admit it openly. There may be more than we think.

After a conversation with Gunny, who had a conversation with Cartman's mom, Cartman will be working in the horse stables after school, indefinitely.

I did all the political conversions I thought I could achieve among my friends in 2000 and 2004.

No one among my friends voted for Obama. Very few of them voted for Kerry. Slightly more of them voted for Gore and Kerry.

The leftward slide of the Democratic Party is creating a lot of "swing voters."

It's time for libertarian-conservative fusionism again. Reaganism is the only way.
