Last week, I was listening to Neal Boortz on the radio and I heard him read a leeter that was written right after the election of Barack Obama. It was written by a Dr. Anne Wortham a sociology professor at Illinois State University. She also happens to be a visiting scholar at Stanford's Hoover Institute. She is a proponent of the teachings of Ayn Rand and it just so happens she is black.

It has been circulated on the net for some time now. But on the chance you haven't read it yet, here it is. Is she right?

Part of the reason I think she is right can be determined from the next two stories.

First, there is this story about Obama claiming the stimulus is working.

President Barack Obama said his $787 billion stimulus bill “has worked as intended” as he pushed back against Republican criticism that his recovery program has failed to rescue the economy.

“It has already extended unemployment insurance and health insurance to those who have lost their jobs in this recession,” Obama, who is traveling today in Ghana, said in his weekly Saturday radio and Web address. “It has delivered $43 billion in tax relief to American working families and business.”

But is it really working?

Reading this article, one has to wonder where Obama's head is?

Unemployment among blacks in New York City has increased much faster than for whites, and the gap appears to be widening at an accelerating pace, new studies of jobless data have found.

While unemployment rose steadily for white New Yorkers from the first quarter of 2008 through the first three months of this year, the number of unemployed blacks in the city rose four times as fast, according to a report to be released on Monday by the city comptroller’s office. By the end of March, there were about 80,000 more unemployed blacks than whites, according to the report, even though there are roughly 1.5 million more whites than blacks here.

Now, you can correct me if I am wrong (and I know you will). But wasn't the stimulus supposed to create new jobs, rather quickly?

So Mr. Obama began a new effort on Monday to show that his stimulus plan was yielding concrete benefits, saying that his administration expects to save or create 600,000 more jobs this summer, as the federal government spends billions to expand care at health centers, spruce up national parks, hire teachers and improve military facilities.

At a meeting with Mr. Obama and the cabinet, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. outlined 10 major initiatives that he said would “build momentum and accelerate job growth” over the next 100 days. After Mr. Biden ticked off a list of programs — including water and waste projects in rural America and rehabilitation of 98 airports and 1,500 highways — the president took aim at his critics.

I wonder if a similar study was done in Michigan. They, too, were under the impression that the impact would be felt by summer.

This country benefits from many black conservatives, and yet almost everyone is surprised to learn of this fact. We may find the ratio equally divided among blacks and white. Traditional blacks tend to be liberals; most bought in to the empty promises of the Democratic Party. Given the opportunity to achieve something swell based on individual effort, they prefer instead to become and remain beneficiaries of an ever-increasing socialist society. They honestly fail to see how Democrats enslave black communities through economic dependency. I was recently surprised to learn that American blacks suffer from self-loathing; it stymies their individual growth as human beings. I was only recently aware of how hateful blacks are toward one another; I thought they just hated whites.

I wonder why white conservatives are unaware of the black conservative movement. Is it that we aren’t paying attention, or are black conservatives hiding? Their national organization isn’t easy to find on the internet, but I think we continue to ignore black conservatives at our own (conservative) peril. I think that people like Dr. Ann Worthham are becoming more mainstream among well-educated blacks.

Dr. Thomas Sowell has been long associated with the conservative movement, but he is frequently the target of men such as Sharpton, Jackson, Wright, and Farrakhan. He knows these people for what they are; he laments that black Americans can be so easily led down the path of Marxism, fed platters of hate and a diet of myth. Not long ago, the idiot commenter at my blog (Ducky) suggested that Dr. Sowell (as a token) has never written a single word worthy of consideration, but of course this does speak volumes about a man who worships the likes of Noam Chomsky and Saul Alinsky; communists all.

We need black conservatives to be successful; we need to help build their movement. We should begin by carefully considering black conservative candidates because their success will result in an expansion of the movement; hopefully, over time, it will defeat the slime associated with those other people I mentioned.

Once again, let us acknowledge that Barack Obama is no Jimmy Carter. The latter was an idiot; Obama knows exactly what he’s doing … and yes, what he is doing is dangerous to our country. He is dangerous to our country because Obama is no more than a surrogate to George Soros, who is now running our country. Stimulus spending is about spending, not stimulus. Otherwise, we would already be engaged in a major national debate about spending and allocating scarce monetary resources. We haven’t even begun those discussions. The American voter should have considered that line from Hamlet long before the decided to elect Barack Obama: “A fool and his money are soon parted.”

And yet....Obama is worse.

Go figure.

Carter should be thankful that Obama will probably replace him as being the worst US President, in my lifetime. He's going to make us all forget about the peanut farmer, who was convinced the world needed him.

I remember that feeling from my generation. Here was a man who was going to save us from ourselves, and all we had to do was give him a chance. They drew silly conclusions like over-analyzing his initials being "JC". Brilliant piece of conjecture, I'd say.

I was a member of a dumbass generation once. We finally learned and accepted our folly. Many of these Obama-ites will...eventually.

The Stimulus likely IS working--it was designed as the most massive graft and influence peddling program in the history of America. The reason it was backloaded was to remind the beneficiaries of the chit ObamaDems will be calling in somewhere around mid 2010 when it comes time to fund candidates in the mid terms.

So he's not lying, technically.

Technically, you are right. And isn't it just like a lawyer to beat something on a technicality?

Good point, AC. You have been caught in the very act of being right...again. ;)

I don't like that damned organ it sits there in the living room, collects dust, and no one ever plays it. I have tired to get my wife to get rid of it, but to no avail.

Wait....er...never mind. I guess you are referring to something else.

Disregard.

You mean to say you would actually "wonder about that". It seems "Captain Obvious" to me! Signs point to his rectal orifice as the actual location!
