Sunday Reflection

I am not sure who to credit for this little quote, no one seems to be taking credit for it on the internet. So if anyone knows, feel free to help me out here.

It's one that I think speaks volumes about seeing events as adverse on the surface, but in reality being necessary for the maintenance of life. There are many such things we can list, but there is one that can serve as a great analogy for all of the others:

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. -- Unknown

We need water to sustain out physical lives, our bodies are about 90% water. Rain brings us the water of life.

So the next time the rain spoils your fishing trip to the lake, just remember something. Without the rain, there would be no lake. Without the rain, there would be nothing but a vast desert expanse, incapable of sustaining the kinds of life we need to survive.

The next time a storm in life comes our way, remember that it brings us a vital resource we cannot live without. So if nothing else, let us all dance in our hearts and be glad.

The quotation appears to be attributed to Vivian Greene.

For this service, please send a certified check in the amount of $25,000.00 to my attorneys. This will help to lower my deficit and stimulate my economy.

Thank you,

Thanks Mustang. The check is in the mail.

By all means, sir ...let us all dance in our hearts and be glad.

Strongly worded letter forwarded separately.

Oops...Sir. Situation corrected.

That is a very encouraging thought. I've always enjoyed when it rains...more so when it is a warm rain, still, finding joy within the storms makes us stronger. Finding the joy through the storms of life is a very rewarding thing.

Yes, it is Leslie … but as with so much in life, finding joy in the storms of life is often a difficult thing to do. Take for example the fact that my puppies are starving, but I cannot feed them because of a certain welcher who refuses to pay me real money, and I cannot therefore purchase Science Diet for my dearly beloved canine friends. Yes, the storms of life pose difficulties, such as not being able to make my house payment, purchase fuel for my car, and having to cut back to 9-holes of golf per month. Oh, where is the joy of financial security, and the serenity of knowing you can always trust your friends?

Poof. Gone. Since this morning at 12:58 p.m.

Yes Leslie, it is. Like when a commander maligns his top sergeant in front of the troops. It is a destabilizing agent that decreases morale.

But the troops and the top sergeant always make it. They have each other and that's what really counts.

Note -- Please note that this is an analogy, and only an analogy. Any similarities with this fictional situation with any real one (currently playing out) is purely coincidental. It is not designed to describe any specific characters and publicly dissuades readers from forming any preconceived opinions, before thoroughly studying the trends and events that would lead you to believe in any. Void where prohibited.

Hmmm starving puppies, deviant financial issues, malignant commanders, decreased morale, betrayal among friends, and life storms...sounds like a terrible soap opera. And it even rained here today.

That's true, Leslie ... where ever Sunsett lives, it rains. Sad, isn't it? When he came down to visit me last year, it did nothing but rain, except for that time I took his picture next the lake as he was trying to feed the alligators.

If I knew then, what I know now ... well, never mind.

I completely understand, Mustang. With the cheating you out of your small fee of $25,000.00 for the service you rendered (I know it had to have taken you so long to find the originator of that quote) and the fact that someone you call friend would just sit and watch as your poor little puppies starve and you are being deprived of a full 18 holes of golf...I'm just surprised you can continue on with such struggles...

I have noticed it rains quite often here...
