Friday Funnies

Mr. Warmth was always able to get away with some great insults, which amazingly nobody ever took seriously. Here he is performing at Ronald Reagan's second inauguration:

Today, he'd be sued and Al Sharpton would be leading boycotts against him.

Mr. Rickles —while funny —does not hold a candle to your typical Marine Corporal. He is a lightweight. In fact, Mr. Rickles is a nice guy compared to a corporal with a duty belt.

That said, I will tell you that I’ve seen real supply sergeants similar to the role Don Rickles played in the Clint Eastwood film, “Hogan’s Heroes.” I have also witnessed courts-martial reduce a few master sergeants in the supply and food service field to lance corporal.

In the Eastwood film, Rickles could have been one of those guys easily enough. So too could a certain first sergeant I know.

How many times must we revisit this, Colonel?

Do not, repeat, DO NOT harass the senior NCOs who have numerous times saved your ass and may some day save it again. That's an order.
