The Only Thing Better Than A Christmas Puppy Is Two
These two are a dachsund and chihuahua mix, six weeks old. One is for my mother-in-law and the other is for my sister-in-law. And believe me when I tell you, they are tiny and cute.
I have a soft place in my heart for Dachshunds; my first dog was a Dachshund. We had our Dixie for 8 years; if we could've kept her weight under control, we might've had her longer. Her ailment was a spinal problem, followed by kidney failure when she couldn't take care of business.
There was no keeping food from Dixie. She would ride down a corn stalk, shuck the ear, and eat the corn right off the cob. The corn packed on the weight, but the black-eyed peas and green peppers were good for her.
Your in-laws are lucky women to get a puppy for Christmas!

Is there a name for this mix? Like a dachchih? or chihuahuadach?
My wife and I were admiring your picture. They certainly are cute.
Always,
We have two beagles and they are also notorious food thieves. Christmas stocking candy is always a challenge to keep safe. :)
AICS,
All hounds have a nose for food, I think.
