Ex-Gitmo Detainee Identified In Terror Attack

A former Gitmo detainee has been identified as a terrorist who not only killed himself in an intentional act in Mosul last week, he took some innocent bystanders with him.

Interestingly enough, one could survey those that have been critical of the operational objectives of this facility and still hear the litany of complaints from them. No doubt the words "torture" and "human rights" will come up during the course of the conversation, as well as phrases like "the US needs to take the high moral ground".

While we all love to feel good about showing goodwill towards all men, I advise all who still have the ability to see clearly, to strongly consider the effect of releasing the ones that remain. What if we let them go and one of them carries out a major attack? What if that attack kills hundreds or thousands?

Think about it.

I'm all for closing GITMO, using the General Black Jack Pershing method. I'm sure you're familiar with it.

Seriously, as usual, America is damned no matter what it does. If we kill the terrorists, we'll be criticized. If we jail them at GITMO and give them military tribunals, we'll be criticized for not giving them the same rights as US citizens. If we give them civilian trials, we'll still be criticized, because everyone knows a terrorist can't get a fair trial in "hysterical" America (see, Moussaoui trial).

In case you haven't noticed, in the eyes of "the rest of the world" as it is called, America is NEVER right!

It would be helpful if one of these released terrorists blew up one of their apologists instead of Iraqis. Iraqis have fought the terrorists harder than anyone on this earth. Just once I'd like to see some idiot "progressive" who sheds tears for a mass murderer like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed get blown up by the poor political prisoners they constantly defend.

I hate hypocrisy, but I love irony.

In the eyes of half of Congress, we are never right (unless it's something THEY propose).
