The Aussies Are Coming, The Aussies Are Coming

No, it's not an Alan Arkin and Carl Reiner Movie, nor is it an invasion. Mrs. Sunsett has a friend, who is bringing a friend, both are on a world tour and they will be our guests for the rest of the week.

I am going to Louisville to pick them up today, and tomorrow we will be showing them Chicago. So, I will be quite active on the interstate system the next couple of days. And since I helped Mrs. Sunsett with a GI cleaning party in the living quarters last evening, I didn't get a post written. But I hope to get something up this evening, so keep your eyes peeled.

Meanwhile, any suggestions from those that have been to downtown Chicago? I haven't been to Chicago in over two decades. Ball games do not count, these are women, and baseball is not so popular in Australia. Historical sites, landmarks, and shopping will be what they want. (No directions to Trinity United Church of Christ either.)

Thanks for reading, have a good day.

Please tell us of their experience passing through immigration. The mantra in Europe (and among anti-anti-terrorism lefties) in the US is that no one wants to come to America anymore because immigration treats them like criminals.

I've never been to Chicago, so I'm as useless to you as Priyanka. I should be going to Chicago soon, however, so I'll be interested in the responses. Mary-Ellen, where are you?

Oy. The close parnens should have been after "in the US."

Other than being waterboarded in San Francisco, it's been pretty smooth.

Seriously, of all places in the world, SF was the only place they were thoroughly searched. They understood why it had to be done. They had no complaints.

We make no one an offender for a typo, around here. ;)

Just driving the loop was wow enough for me last time I was there.

Maybe you could take them for a tour of that paradise called the South Side, where wine flows from the fire hydrants and milk and honey from the storm drains. It's safe because everybody's hard at work in their high-paying jobs treating their neighbors with peace, love and understanding.

One of the benefits from having Obama as a state senator for so many years, no doubt.

Wow, AC. Just thinking of what Obamessiah could do on the national level makes my leg tingle like Chris Matthews!

Either that or you've probably just been in the computer chair too long. Take a walk and see if it goes away. ;-)
