The Signs Of Things To Come

Some of you may have caught this story, which took place yesterday in Indianapolis.

The Obama campaign says most of the payment issues that brought hundreds of upset campaign workers to the Indianapolis office Wednesday have been resolved.

Campaign spokesman Jonathan Swain says a few people showed up Thursday and made arrangements for payment by mail.

A few hundred people stood in line for several hours Wednesday waiting to get paid for working in the final days of the campaign. Many of those people said they were underpaid for the number of hours they worked.

I have worked on mayoral, State Representative, US Congressional, and Presidential campaigns. I even worked the polls for a local Justice Of The Peace race, when I was a young boy. I worked them because I believed in the candidate I was supporting, not for money.

I would think the thought of hope and change would have resonated more. I would think that these people would have been sincere enough in their beliefs that they would have gladly volunteered their services. But I guess I am of a different era.

But this story leads back to the prospect of a future with many broken promises from the President-Elect. He has made a lot of them. I cannot see how this man cannot help but send some people away empty handed.

And it's not just the poor masses (who were used to gain power) who are petitioning the new President for funds, as we see in this story.

Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection has some environmental advice for the incoming Obama administration: focus on energy efficiency and renewable resources, and create a unified U.S. power grid.

On Thursday, the group Gore founded rolled out a new media campaign to push for immediate investments in three energy areas it maintains would help meet Gore's previously announced challenge to produce 100 percent clean electricity in the United States in a decade.

Be ye not surprised folks - this man owes a lot of favors to a lot of people. Which ones get paid back and which ones won't, will be anyone's guess.

Now someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't we just hear how this would be a different kind of presidency, one that would not cave in to special interests? In the minds of some people it will be, but in reality it is not. They won't pander to the same special interests as the GOP, but they will be beholden to their own. And this global warming cult might just be one of them.

Get the tree up. It looks like Santa Claus is coming early for some people, this year.

Obama has been bought and will soon be sold. Can't wait to find out who owns him (besides Soros, of course).

Hi LAS !

Up for grabs, as Amerloque writes these lines ...

promisebreaker.com
promisebreaker.info
promisebreaker.biz
promisebreaker.us
promisebreaker.net

Amerloque would register these himself, but that would reveal his identity ... (grin)

Might Amerloque suggest that LAS advise other likeminded blogs about this ? (smile)

/// Emanuel Was Director Of Freddie Mac During Scandal

New Obama Chief of Staff, Others on Board, Missed "Red Flags" of Alleged Fraud Scheme

By BRIAN ROSS and RHONDA SCHWARTZ

November 7, 2008 ---

President-elect Barack Obama's newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal mortgage firm Freddie Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board failed to spot "red flags," according to government reports reviewed by ABCNews.com. ///

l'Amerloque: no doubt on the Chicago political machine controlling 0bama. Emanuel's appointment speaks volumes. Aside from it being some type of pay back for all the money Freddie/Fannie gave to 0bama, it's a bone to the Clintonites and to the most partisan of the Democratic party. It's also a cheap, cynical bone thrown to the pro-Israelis. This pro-Israeli isn't buying it.

BTW, apparently, Emanuel doesn't agree with Biden that paying taxes is patriotic. He pays no property taxes on his posh Chicago home b/c it is also the HQ of his "charitable" foundation. The foundation basically sends money to Bill Clinton's foundation and to Emanuel's wife's foundation. There are two people on the Board - Rahm and his wife. Nice, huh?

Santa's coming alright. But he comes not to praise you, Caesar, but to bury you.

While everyone is giddy about BO's plan for hope and change, the Marxist Congress of the United States is planning on ways to relieve you of responsibility for your IRA/401K. They're calling it the GRA. They'll seize your IRA, hand it over to the Social Security Administration, and GUARANTEE you a return at age ... um ... to be announced.

Naturally, because GRA will be controlled by SSA, the MC-USA will have access to those funds for pet projects.

My advice, get used to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ... and yes, you do have to share them with other folks.

Obama will have to eventually pay all of these people back in one way or another. It's just a matter if they have sufficient funds at the time or not.

Very interesting blog you have here. I am willing to add you to my blogroll if you will do the same in return. Let me know.

The descendants of Daddy Daley, who ordered the cracking of heads at the 1968 Democratic convention. It can't be looked at as good, no matter how one tries to spin it.

We took our Australian friends there last June, when they were visiting. It's about 180 miles to downtown, it's been over 20 years since I had been there before, and it may be another 20 before I go back.

How comforting.

The thought of getting their hands on money that doesn't belong to them, must make Reid and Pelosi salivate profusely.

1. Maybe the workers heard about the national service plan and were afraid Obama was going to show them as paid in full.

2. Gore wants a national power grid? That really doesn't sound too good to me. Think of the power (pardon the pun).

(smile, of sadness) Essentially this began in France over a quarter-century ago. Francois Mitterrand the Socialist was elected in May, 1981 and put a passel of Socialist Party hacks in as ministers (including four from the Communist Party). One of this government’s first actions was to force (by law and by seizure) euphemistically-named ‘contributions’ by supplementary private pension schemes to the general state pension fund(s). One of the first on the hitlist was the ‘horsetrainers’ and jockeys’ pension association’ (targeted as ’les riches’), which was shamelessly looted overnight of something like $80 million.

That was but the opening salvo to a wholesale purge of complementary pension schemes (fonds de retraite spéciaux), looting which has gone on to this day. The Left was, of course, finally thrown out, but successive Rightist governments have continued the slash-and-burn policy. Firms and organizations with small memberships were targeted at first; larger and larger organizations followed. Fortunately many relatively aware individuals were able to see the writing on the wall, and managed over the years to armor their pension monies against seizure. Amerloque, for example, had over twenty years to react, and only saw his employer-sponsored pension fund be absorbed during the initial years of this century --- after arduous, tension-filled , lengthy negotiations ensued over several decades.

The government is now attacking the pension funds of the remaining organizations (electricity company, gas company) and influential professional groups: lawyers/solicitors (’notaires’) and journalistes, to be precise.

May Amerloque advise Americans to take appropriate measures now ?
