From the Guardian comes this story about France announcing some upgrades to its nuclear weapons for the purpose of adding both range and accuracy. Which means greater assurance that they can hit Iran, if the need arises.

Isn't it strange how hawkish Chirac became after the Paris riots? Maybe he was mad that his careful posturing during the Iraq war didn't buy any favor from the cartoonhadeen set.
Yeah, but they do something positive, only to counter it with something negative. Now France is buddying up to Hamas and wants to recognize them as legitmate, along with Russia. One step forward, two steps back.
