Sarkozy's Next Life Event?

Most family counselors would recommend at least a year to allow for healing after a divorce. Of course they'll also say that every case stands on its own and no two cases are ever completely alike. But, as a general rule a newly divorced person should allow a year for the grief that many times is generated, both during and after the legal process is completed.

But Sarkozy seems to be healing rather well.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is to marry his new girlfriend, the former model turned singer Carla Bruni, a French newspaper reported Sunday, claiming a wedding was "imminent".

I say the phrase, private lives, contains the adjective "private" for a reason. It's nobody's business but his and his bride to be. But I must say that after looking at some shots of Ms. Bruni, bully for Nicolas. Having integrative needs being fully met while have nuclear codes at one's disposal, can prove to be an important component to peace and stability.

Hi LA

Here are a few of her "former lovers"

I have no problem whatsoever with M. Sarkozy dating and marrying whomever he wants. Problem is that "little big man" may be doing this to revenge his ex wife who dropped him. Twice!(she is apparently coming out with a book around the time of said marriage). There are too many similarities with the relationship with his ex. In fact he may be over compensating her loss. He is well known here for his emotionalism. Marriage at this point would be a bit precipitated in my opinion.

The French are quite lucid in this case are not so stupid that they won't see what he is trying to achieve here.

Bruni has come out and said that after three weeks of passion with a man she looks for the next one. (French press...sorry!)

I would certainly be wary if I were Sarkozy when she excuses herself to go to the bathroom during a state visit.

Now I have more important things to think abut, like mourning for my Redskins.

PS - I checked out the NBA site today and saw that the Celtics have a 90% win average. What is going on here? baseball football and now basketball.

Carla may very well be a “man-eater,” but the issue belongs to Mr. Sarkozy and Ms. Bruni. I cannot imagine why anyone really cares one way or another; the world has so many problems — this isn’t one of them. Still, I find the article and Rocket’s linkage very disturbing. My picture does not appear along with Carla’s former lovers. I should probably sue.

Rocket,

All to often in a rebound affair, this is precisely the case. There is a tendency on the rebounder to a) make the ex-spouse jealous and b) attempt to replace that ex-spouse with a reasonable facsimile.

All too often this leads to more grief and the need for more healing, before the healing process from the previous split can be completed.

I think with her history it would be a good idea to rethink this, but as I said in the post, it's his business.

Sorry Mustang, she doesn't remember that wild weekend in Tijuana with you. Too much tequila tends to do that to a person.

But hey, I believe you.

Carla and Nick. That's one of those "What Is She Doing With Him" couples.

She should obviously be with Mustang.
