Altered States Of Message

I haven't had a lot of time to write posts lately and for this, I apologize. But here is a snippet to read and think about as you go about your day:

VDH has a short blog entry over at NRO.

Al Qaeda is reportedly in ruins and all but destroyed. Obviously, it doesn't mean there aren't others that would love to attack the west. But it shows that the anti-war leftists are going to have to come up with a new message soon. "We can't possibly win" will not be a valid screeching point anymore. Which is probably why many in the Left are now going back to the "Bush lied, people died" approach again.

It will be interesting to see how Obama alters his message after hearing these kinds of reports, along with greater Iraqi success and lower US casualty rates.

Gosh, golly, gee. Now I know why I don't see Iraq on the news anymore. No flaming car bombs and burning bodies to film. Hey, where in the world is Michael "Unmitigated Disaster" Ware? I'd like to get his take on the current situation.

And, well, howdy-doody - now I know why Barack Hamas Osama doesn't want to go visit Iraq. Imagine if he had to admit that the strategy McCain advocated for actually worked! Boy, that would be almost as embarrassing as belonging to a paranoid, racist, America-hating church for 20 years!

Anyway, let's try to help the anti-war nuts with some new slogans. Here's my contribution:

"We Could Still Snatch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory" mmm no....

"We May Win the War But We've Still Lost Our Soul!" mmm no....

"There's Still Time to Surrender!" mmm, no....

"What the Heck Are We Supposed to Do with These Burqas We Bought?" mmm, no...

"Google 9/11 Truth" yeah....

The sad truth is that leftists much prefer a bee in their own personal bonnet to a clear and decisive win for the United States of America. It is said that we truly know others by what they do, more than by what they say. In the case of the American left, we know them by what they say (which is mostly moronic), and what they do (which is mostly anti-American). I recently heard someone say that an Obama election will equate to a second term for Jimmy Carter. I wholeheartedly agree. Can we, as a people, be that stupid?

Greg,

How about:

1. Winning is losing?

2. Appeasement we can believe in?

3. Wrong war, wrong time?

There are others, I am sure. But the fact that he doesn't even want to go to Iraq says it all.

"Appeasement we can believe in!"

We have a winner! Goes well with "Yes we can!"

I don't know if people are that stupid or not. I guess we'll know in November.

But if I were you, I'd stick my money in CDs and bonds. They really drew interest in Carter's day. Of course you know that with those high CD interest rates, came high rates on loans and through the roof inflation. So, it may end up being a wash.

Wow!!!

I rarely win anything, but I can put that with my $50 winning scratch off lottery ticket. (Of course, it's already been spent.)

To set the record straight, "I rarely win anything," is a damn lie.

LA won an all expense paid trip to the Caribbean (for TWO) and turned it down. The blighter was afraid of flying.
