Another Blast From The Past

It's Valentine's Day, which means nice restaurants all over America will be packed to the gills. Know of a good Italian place with good food, good atmosphere, and an unbelievable romantic ambiance? Well, good luck getting a reservation. You will pretty much be out of luck. Your only hope will be a chain restaurant like Red Lobster or Olive Garden with call ahead seating, or a buffet with a long line.

If you can cook, the way out of this is to go to the grocery store. Get some nice steaks, some fresh seafood -- anything that you think she will see as romantic. Then, make her a nice candlelight dinner for two with roses as a table centerpiece. If you really want to score points, do the dishes for her.

(If you are married and mess this up, you may find yourself served with papers next week. If this is the case, consider the law offices of Irwin R. Schuyster for competent representation.)

PYY cannot help you with your procrastinating ways that may land you in hot water on the home front. But here are a few love songs from the past that will at least remind you of someone, someplace, somewhere. (If it's not your present spouse or love interest, you should really keep this to yourself.)

Anyway, enough advice. Here is the music.

This video has some of Hollywood's most gorgeous ladies, in their prime. It's backed by one of my favorite tunes, The Beatles' And I Love Her:

Here is one I always liked, Roberta Flack and The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face:

This one comes from Dan Fogleberg. It's simply called Longer:

Enjoy.
