Apostle Obama

He went out to sow seeds of harmony and unity, to bring the world a message. But lo and behold, as the sower went forth to sow his words, it was discovered that he could heal also.

Everywhere he went, there was healing.

It was quite a moment at the end of President Obama's town hall meeting in Fort Myers, Fla., yesterday. As The News-Press writes, 19-year-old Julio Osegueda "rocketed from a Cape Coral teenager who flips burgers for $7.85 an hour at a McDonald's to an instant celebrity of sorts."

And he got a temporary job.

If once is a miracle, twice must mean there is a true gift involved.

Also during Tuesday's town hall, a 61-year-old woman named Henrietta Hughes told the president that she and her 37-year-old son are homeless after having their house foreclosed. She asked for his help. Obama said he would, and his staff put Hughes in touch with local housing authority officials.

By now, we should all be convinced, right?

Well, there's more. This article links to another one.

Their story got the attention of another person who wanted to help.

While local and national media swarmed Henrietta Hughes for interviews, Chene Thompson, wife of State Rep. Nick Thompson, grabbed Hughes’ hand and offered them a house.

The house is in LaBelle, the first home Chene Thompson bought after law school.
“Just give me the opportunity to help you,” Chene Thompson told her.

All is well, right? Obama healed again, right?

Wrong. It was a private citizen who happens to be the wife of a politician, who offered to help this woman. Not Obama, not the federal government. I cannot attest to her motives. But it was a woman, an individual. No need for a village, here.

But it's not over, yet.

But as of Tuesday night, the Hughes had not contacted the Thompsons about coming to see the house. Their cell phone is out of minutes, so it is nearly impossible to get in touch with them.

And two individuals who took it upon themselves to shield the Hughes from media inquires self-appointed media representatives ushered the Hughes into the truck that has been their home.

As she bounced from reporter to reporter Tuesday, Henrietta Hughes seemed euphoric but overwhelmed by the attention. The woman that no one knew Tuesday morning would be known nationwide Tuesday night.

I have the feeling, there may be more to this than meets the eye. What do you think?

UPDATE:

Apparently this isn't the first time the public has reached out to help Henrietta Hughes, Michelle Malkin has the scoop.

Another UPDATE:

I went back to MM's post on this, I found she had linked to this posting.Which in turn linked to this one.

A day after the president and the nation heard their plea, Henrietta and her son are no longer homeless.

State representative Nick Thompson and wife Chene offered the Hughes family their LaBelle home-free of charge for as long as they need it.

Mrs. Thompson has become their Mother Teresa, fielding calls from would-be donors and all the major networks who want to hear more from the Hughes.

The Ellen Degeneres show is interested in their story, too.

Beyond all the attention, Henrietta and Corey say they have found hope with the help of God and President Obama.

"I'd just say thank you very much, we appreciate you," said Corey.

The Hughes will tour their new home Thursday for the first time.

Until then, they are staying at a hotel in Fort Myers, courtesy of another stranger.

Some people fall on hard times. Some fall into it more than others.

Of those that do establish patterns of this kind of thing, some are good people that have never been taught how to succeed, only how to use government. One must wonder why things seem to never work for some people and yet do, for others.

It's great for these people now, they getting attention from everywhere and many are wanting to help out of a good heart. But what happens when the limelight dies out and the 15 minutes are up? What will come of this opportunity? I'd have to say the odds are, she'll be homeless again.

Since this is one more media-generated event, I would say they'll work it as long as they can to portray this as an Obama miracle. But as I said earlier, it is an individual that offered this woman another opportunity, not Obama. He may have been the catalyst, but was not source.

Why, you're not suggested she might have been a plant, are you LA?

It'll be fun watching her rationalize why she turned down a perfectly good home after making that desperate pitch for a home. I agree--the Rep, who is a Republican, may know a little more about this than we do...

Last I checked there was no word, whether she took the offer for a house from the lady, who offered it to her. If I needed a house and someone offered, I'd be finding a way to get in touch with her. I certainly would prefer this situation over government housing.

If I were a reporter, I'd be trying to follow up on this story. But as of yet, no follow up has been reported.

I told you during the ecampaign Obama acts like a fascist. Another example here. He's creating myths to make himself seem god-like. Of course she was a plant. She didn't end up in the front row by mistake. I'm sure they gave her a shower so she wouldn't stink when The One hugged her.

Or capitalizing on opportunities to make himself seem god-like. Either way, it's a ruse that many fail to see. And as always, the media perpetuates it.

Until the media's started being fair, we're going to see nothing BUT this.

Remember the Judd Gregg deal...the conservatives were hysterical (including ME) that a Republican would give up a much-needed Rep. senate seat to go on the cabinet as Sec of Commerce!?
At that time, OH, was the media all over BI PARTISANSHIP! HOW WONDERFUL.
Now that Gregg turned it down, the Yahoo headline is suddenly using a word something like 'inconsequential' for that secretary position! (darn, by the time I decided to type this here I went back and they'd changed the Yahoo headline on the home page...but it was as bad as 'inconsequential'..)

You can't make this stuff UP!
