Colts 38 - Giants 14
Didn't see it. When my day starts at 4:30 in the morning, I rarely watch anything on TV and certainly not a late football game. But from the score I am seeing this morning, it looks like the Colts got back on their usual track.
I didn't watch much daytime football yesterday either. I did see that Houston may not be a fluke, coming back from a 17 point deficit to Rocket's Skins.
I also caught a few plays of Greg's Pats. I don't know what happened there, but I thought NE was going to be able to withstand the inexperienced Jets offense. I still think the Jets are not nearly as good as everyone makes them out to be. Their defense is great, but the offense has yet to prove to be consistent.
Anyway, what are YOUR thoughts Week 2?

I couldn't get into THE SHACK after church yesterday with friends for our favorite Phillie Cheese Sandwich here in LA (they're all from Phillie at THE SHACK and bring in the rolls from there)...because THE EAGLES WERE PLAYING ON THEIR TVs AND IT WAS PACKED!! (One friend's a football fan and he'd warned me..thankfully, my favorite Mex rest. is next door and we went there!)
So, yet again, Z shows why she isn't a football fan..And will continue to do so as the season progresses and you keep blogging FOOTBALL! (smile)
I caught enough of the Titans game to be concerned about the QB. Maybe it was just the heat, but benching the starter is always a bold move. Collins was able to move the football once they went to prevent, but he wasn't impressive either.
Then there was the Cowboys game..snicker..
I agree with all of LAS' points. Of course, like him, I was unable to watch much of anything. I was reminded by my wife as the Pats game started that I had agreed to go to have 'un apperitif' at some french lady's house. So, I missed the game, which looks like it was a good thing. Hate the Jets, and I think they are way overrated. What's that say about my team, though? :(
I did get to see a bit of Eli getting embarrassed. Heh. He is also way overrated.

Next time marry an American like me and watch the game. I already did the French marriage schtick and I'll go American on the marriage that is.
Did you talk about cheese and sex too?
rocket: it was bad. the american husband of this french chick didn't even have the game on. he wanted to talk about his wine collection. torture. i wanted to run out of there, but i calmed myself by guzzling his stella artois. it even got me through her speech about how hard it was to live here during the iraq war.
actually, now that i write that out, watching the jets whoop my team would have been better than zee aperitif...
rocket: what do you mean 'next time'??? lol!

Aargh an American French wanabee. I see them much too often here. Was he still critical of Bush, 2 years on? Did he fall into the time tested French discussion on sex just after the wine and cheese lecture.
Next time ask them if they think it is easy to be a gypsy in the racist regime in France.

Maybe if Los Angeles would get a FOOTBALL team. After all, they are the #2 market in the country....
;)

Rocket doesn't loan people money, so you can stop pretending you hate them...

NOW we know it's football season, once Greg starts his weekly slams against Eli.

What a classless bastard. If he had any class at all, he would have had Hoegaarden.

AND....ask him if he thinks Pepe Le Pew was a racist cartoon.
