Mon AM QB

What can I say about the Colts? There are so many reasons they lost that game yesterday. But the one reason I never thought I would be able to say, Peyton Manning.

I cannot believe he is even in the discussion for MVP. He is losing games. Hands down, he has to be the front runner for the 2010 Brett Favre Award for most completions to the opposing team.

The backups in the role positions are not always helpful either. That jackwagon that got the personal foul for leverage late in the game needs to be released. But many of them are playing their hearts out...only to have Mr. Overthink throw the damned ball away in OT when the game is on the line.

I say play for a draft pick and see if Andrew Luck comes out next year. We do need a QB of the future and would have loved to see Curtis Painter get some snaps yesterday, just for general purposes.

It may be time for Manning to think about coaching. On second thought, the play calling in that games sucked too. Maybe not. Maybe this will reduce his value and they will not have to commit so much to resigning him. Maybe, maybe, maybe. but who knows?

I just know this season is done.

I feel your pain.

Dallas will definitely beat the "Deadskins" on the rematch in Dallas.

I watched the game with a certain amount of disgust. I've never seen Manning perform so poorly.

OT but nonetheless pertinent

Read the article and simply chuckle.
Even the letters to the newspapers in France were running 3-1 asking why Air France and the French french civil aviation authority were not even indicted. One person even asked if a gnat flew out of his mother's house and landed on someones arm causing a car crash if his mother would be held responsible.

Elementary my dear Watson. Air France is still partly owned by the French government and the french civil aviation authority is under the control of the French gov't. As far as the judicial and prison system is concerned we know it is worthy of a Banana republic.

http://www.newsweek.com/2008/08/01/incarceration-nation.html#

"Prisons have long been an embarrassment for France, the self-proclaimed "homeland of human rights."The biggest lie since Hitler"(my quote) Since 1992 the European Court of Human Rights has repeatedly rapped Paris for "inhumane and degrading" treatment of prisoners. In 2005, during a 16-day visit to France, then Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Alvaro Gil-Robles said of a section of Paris's La Santé prison, "In my whole life, apart from perhaps Moldova, I have never seen a center worse than that one." But the overcrowding has worsened since former Interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy ascended to the president's office in May 2007, and brought his tough, law-and-order approach with him."

The only French indicted in the concorde crash

"The three defendants who were acquitted were Henri Perrier, 81, considered the “father” of the iconic supersonic jet and an executive of Aérospatiale, the company that built the Concorde; and Jacques Hérubel and Claude Frantzen, formerly of the French airline regulator that certified the plane’s airworthiness."

Mais oui mais oui

Remember. In France you always need someone to be responsible even if the evidence doesn't weigh up. That responsible will NOT BE FRENCH.

You know who what was responsible for the fall of France in record time in 1940.

THE WEATHER!

That's why I always said to Greg. Don't fret over blog contributions of the past. They are indeed endemic phonies.

PS- Don Meredith died. Even though he was a Cowboy I pause for his memory. He brought me so much grief as a Redskin fan.

I too feel the pain, of a more southern variety. And I can't believe you're already talking about the end of Manning's career. Why, it seems like just yesterday he was wearing that Godawful orange uniform.

But not Packer fans. They were never able to get over that hump against Lombardi's team.

Add that performance to the last 3 games. I know he can't do it all, but he knows better than to force the ball into heavy traffic.

He's 34. In QB years that's getting up there when you don;t have an O-line to block for you. I don;t think it's over yet, but the Colts have to start planning for it now.

Damn! the US scored higher than France 2 out of 3 disciplines on the PISA test organized by the OECD.

This is not possible as everyone (in France)knows we are Hamburger eating monkeys. This test must have been biased against the French surely. It was Bush certainly.

I hear that the French are organizing their own test next year where they have guaranteed that they will come in first unless a strike or vacation cancels their call to glory.

Another reason to believe that most of what comes out of their mouths is simply rhetorical bullshit and their shining light to the world is just hot air to cover up an enormous inferiority complex.

LAS, I think Manning and the Colts have spoiled you over the years. You can't expect Manning to perform at Hall of Fame levels when he's surrounded by second stringers. No one is getting open and the line isn't protecting. QB mistakes are inevitable. The injuries have been utterly devastating.

The Colts are still better than the Jests, though. :) Friggin Jests. Rex Ryan is still talking. Press conference after getting drubbed 45-3: "I'll play 'em again right now!" The arrogance is stunning.

I also had to chuckle at Ryan's apparent annoyance at the Patriots keeping their foot on the gas late in the game. He said they would definitely remember it. As if the Jests will have another shot at New England sometime this year. He's making big assumptions again!

That's what I have been thinking.

I think they might have a chance to be in the AFC Championship against NE, if they resume their pattern of shithouse luck.
