Things are busy again, here are some quotes that I would like to share with my readers:
The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved. - Confucius
Victory belongs to the most persevering. - Napoleon Bonaparte
Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff. - Frank Zappa
Love truth, and pardon error. - Voltaire
Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are. - John Wooden
And finally, one of my all-time favorites:
There are three classes of intellects: one which comprehends by itself; another which appreciates what others comprehend; and a third which neither comprehends by itself nor by the showing of others; the first is the most excellent, the second is good, and the third is useless. - Machiavelli

ahhh, Voltair... I'm somewhat surprised you mentioned him... Some would argue that he had anything worthwhile to say.
Nice post though.
G,
//ahhh, Voltair... I'm somewhat surprised you mentioned him... Some would argue that he had anything worthwhile to say.//
Well, maybe a lot of what he said is crap. But, I found this particular quote from him to be very poignant and worthwhile.
I would say
Victory belongs to the most persevering. - War on terror
This war is completely different from those of Napoleon's, Nelson's, and Wellington’s.
Shah,
//This war is completely different from those of Napoleon's, Nelson's, and Wellington’s.//
You are absolutely right. Napoleon, Wellingtom, and Nelson did not use civilians as shields. There was not then, and is not now, ANY honor in that.
