Recommended Reading (Again)

It's not WND. It's from Mother Jones, noted liberal progressive publication. Here is an article that is critical of Sonia Sotmayor's writing skills.

Some disturbing news in the world of states' rights is coming from the Georgia Secretary of State. Apparently the Justice department is meddling in the affairs of a state that has a constitutional law, requiring people who wish to vote, to prove they are citizens.

Biden tells us what most of us already know. Hope we all feel better now that we know we were right. I know I do.

Oh, Biden admits there will be waste whenever gov't rains money down like they have with their so-called "stimulus"? Now does he? I'm reading their camapaign literature from a few months ago where they dressed down the Bush administration for "wasting up to 2 billion dollars" during recovery from Katrina (you know, the hurricane Bush caused by increasing GW). He promised to appoint a "CFO" to oversee emergency spending. Has he? How much has this CFO found to be wasted from the so-called "stimulus"? Or is this just another in a long line of broken campaign promises by the "Liar in Chief"/"Worst President Ever"?

Any mindless leftards reading today want to comment? Turns out the guy you worship sucks way worse than Bush.

Hi LAS !

Reading about Sotomayor’s abysmal writing skills reminds Amerloque of Boileau’s immortal words :

Ce que l'on concoit bien s'enonce clairement,
Et les mots pour le dire arrivent aisement.

Whatever is well conceived is clearly said,
And the words to say it flow with ease.

Canto I, l. 153
L'Art Poetique (The Art of Poetry, 1674)

Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux ("Boileau”) also came up with the unforgettable

Un sot trouve toujours un plus sot qui l'admire.

A fool always finds a greater fool to admire him.

Words which have resonated here for hundreds of years among those who have benefited from a classical French education … and which, of course, sum up Obama and Raza Sotomayor to a tee.

Best,
L’Amerloque

Cartman … I think it is time you realize that you can’t compensate for your own shortcomings by criticizing others. As it happens, Mr. Sunset is working very hard saving lives and in that process, contributing to our economy (or, whatever remains). Those of us who are Mr. Sunset’s loyal readership do not appreciate your biting, inappropriate, juvenile comments. I for one think you should get a life, you little gnome.

Not many come here anymore, unless they are just an occasional drive-by. They must have been frustrated because their rehearsed Bush lied, people died lines weren't accepted without a serious intelligent challenge.

Very succinct, if you ask me. Those values that are deeply held are easily communicated.

I have said the same thing about truth before. If you are telling the truth, the words can flow uninterrupted, without uncomfortable pauses and a bunch of uhs.

Thank you Mustang for your rear end coverage, from a little weasel and snipe like Cartman. Another case of the Commander looking out for his First Sergeant has not gone unnoticed.
