Mon AM QB

Texans 34 - Colts 24

Family matters and a nasty headache kept me from watching much football yesterday. But from what I did see of the Colts game with Houston, Indy may not make the playoffs this year.

The score does not reflect just how big of a rout this was. We have no defense and the offense is becoming too predictable for opposing defenses.

So unless the coaching staff finds some guts to try something new and the defense gets a clue as to what their jobs are, we may be seeing the end of Indy's dominance in the AFC South and eventually the dynasty that has made them the winningest franchise in the past decade.

How about your teams? What did you see?

I watched the Lions get screwed by a technicality.

Neither team deserved to win the Detroit-Chicago it was a battle to see who could be the most inept.

But Detroit drove down field with 1:30 left and threw what looked like the game winning touchdown with 23 secs to go. But the receiver didn't have possession of the ball for the whole play? All he did was have control of the ball, have both feet in bounds, have another body part hit inbounds. He dropped the ball at the end so they withdrew it.

I was surprised to see the Colts lose to the Texans. The Indy defense usually has some trouble with a big, bruising RB, but what happened to the offense. In the end, it's only one game, and you can't count them out of the playoffs yet.

Chuck, Detroit got robbed! There is no consistency on that "control the ball through the whole catch" rule. Everyone knew that was a TD catch. Utterly ridiculous.

Happy my team performed better than expected. The pundits are once again overlooking the Patriots, and are once again wrong. Just wish Randy Moss would STFU.

Overall, I'm just thrilled football season is once again upon us!

Rocket,

Congrats on your Skins starting off on the right foot. It's always nice when it's the Cowboys, isn't it?

I can remember a day when the Bears would give every game away in the 4th.

Greg,

No O line this year.... Manning spent more time on the ground in one game than he does in half the season.

As for NE, they are at their best when people count them out. Their first Super Bowl was such a thing.

They were both trying to avoid the rush and give it away earlier. They were both a little painful to watch at times.

I will give Detroit credit though, their last drive was pretty impressive.

I think there may be small glimmers of hope in Detroit with this new coach. Not the usual glimmer we get every three years when we get a new coach, maybe a real one this time...

This is the problem, people. We always begin with the left foot. We've been doing this now for the past 400 years.

Bunch of candy-asses.

Didn't see anything except the score, but that was pretty good.

You still should have had a lot of natural endorphins in your system from the michigan victory over Notre Dame.

Thickneck, you thick head. In this instance right means correct. so we could easily have said correct foot. Every one knows that we start off on the left foot when marching, we know that it is is the correct foot, therefore it is the RIGHT foot.

Now get down on your face and give me 50.

AC,

Your guys are tied for 1st place, when was the last time you saw the Colts in last place by themselves?

I was still watching the TV trying to catch up with Denard Robinson.
