Remember

Never forget who we are, what we stand for, and why.

Remember the people who are in harm's way today, because of the cowardly deeds that were committed against this nation nine years ago today:

And always remember the ones who died as a result of those heinous acts:

Never forget.

Never give up, never give in, always remember.

True that, Mr. Tom.

It's forever etched in my psyche, never to be removed.

I think we are starting to see an insidious movement among some on the left to rewrite the events of that day. They are getting help from their PR wing the media. It is slow and gradual but I believe it is there. These people are embarrassed by the US and can't help but feel we deserved this to some extent. We need to keep this memory alive to prevent their success.

Good post LA. I too will always remember.

Sometimes, I can't believe how I was sleeping -- until 9/11, that is.

If I could wake up, why can't everyone?

As time goes by and 9/11 becomes more distant, more and more people want to forget 9/11, sweep it under the rug and consign the attacks against America to one day of remembrance every year, then whitewash Islam the rest of the year.

I'd like to place Sept 11 into the same place Dec 7 currently resides. But after 9 years we still have a hot war against the Taliban, Pakistan is still untrustworthy, Iran is close to nuclear, and just threatening to burn a Koran warrants calls from every international world body. People don't violently push back on the notion that America's actions must have somehow invited the attack, and now we have what Amer Taheri calls a "Rabat" being built 2 blocks from GZ. Are we winning?

Chuck is right. In the Huffington Post today, one Moslem woman argues that those hijackers weren't really Moslems. And she says that the Victory Mosque isn't a mosque. And Keith Olbremann sends an electric tingle up her leg.

So they are already revising history. And they on the other hand threaten us with harm IF the Victory Mosque isn't built because Moslems overseas will see it as an attack on Islam.

And they call us racists because we don't trust Moslems, and Bloomberg enables this trash because "they" have a protected right to build a mosque anywhere.

I would agree with AC if anyone besides he and I even remembered Pearl Harbor day; most do not. Easily half of our fellow citizens think "we had it coming." It is this stupidity that will contribute most to this country one day becoming an Islamic state.

Thank God, I will be gone by then.

I think it's been brewing. But now that Obama has been in office, they have turned it up a couple of notches, because they know they will not be challenged by a man named Hussein.

We bombed those enemies into submission and spared no resource to do it. It took many years to revise WWII's history, they have been revising 9/11's history..... from 9/12/01 on.

My uncle is the Pope, botulism is good for you, the Colts looked like they could win the Super Bowl this year against Houston, and I hit the lottery yesterday.

As were most of us. That's the day America lost it's innocence.

Well put LA. I truly believe that explains the truther movement--being attacked by an evil right wing political cartel means they can be defeated by arrest or the vote; but if by 19 religious ragtags unafraid to die--well that's truly scary and chaotic.
