Various And Sundry Items For Your Edification

Another Mosque Controversy

If you think that the U.S. and Israel are the only ones having a clash of religions, here is an article you might want to take in.

It sounds like someone is scared to make a decision either way here.  Muslims will not back down and the Hindus who have been dealing with Islamic radicals far longer than us are not willing either.

Keep your eye on this one.....

Pledge To America

From those who have had time to read the entire thing, it appears that it is containing much of the TEA Party agenda....at least in words. The easy part will be getting elected, the hard part will be the actual implementation of those principles.

It will be important for Mr. Boehner and others to communicate that this will not be easy, nor will it be a quick fix. But John must also understand that we will be holding his feet to the fire for the next two years, as well. We will expect some results at least in the effort department. No excuses.

Conservatives have the confidence to know that no one in Congress is beyond being fired.

Interesting find. Surely there won't be violence. Surely.

BTW, the Imam has been caught on tape using pro football analogies to explain the plan regards Hamas and the Palestinian thing--of course he's the head coach and presidents and diplomats are just the players.

Interesting story about the mosque and India. I'm putting my money on the Hindus. As you say, they are more practiced at dealing with Islamo-facism than we are.

I was thinking today (and yes, it was rather painful!) about the bracelet my son gave me a few years ago with WWJD. In matters of spirituality and moral issues, it was helpful to reflect on what exactly Jesus would do. Kept my emotions and Irish temper in check many times. So what about finding a way to remind ourselves, "What would the Founders do"? in all matters political. I am most sure they would literally hold Boehner's feet to the fire if need be. These are times where no compromise other than the Constitution is acceptable or we will be lost.
