CNN Last

It looks like CNN, once the standard bearer and trend setter in cable news, is in the tank. Even MSNBC is now beating CNN in many time slots. But as we can see, America still overwhelmingly believes Fox News to be the best source of news and information on cable. From Drudge:

CABLE NEWS RACE
THU., MARCH 26, 2009

FOXNEWS O'REILLY 3,420,000
FOXNEWS HANNITY 2,987,000
FOXNEWS BECK 2,374,000
FOXNEWS GRETA 2,160,000
FOXNEWS BAIER 1,940,000
FOXNEWS SHEP 1,888,000
MSNBC OLBERMANN 1,322,000
CNNHN GRACE 1,300,000
MSNBC MADDOW 1,208,000
CNN KING 1,144,000
CNN COOPER 1,118,000

Notice how O'Reilly has over 2.5 times more viewers than his chief detractor?

Wow.

So help me refresh my memory. How did Obama win the election?

It must be one of those timing things ...

Good question from Mustang. I don't get it either.

I haven't watched CNN since about September. Fox has a lot of crap on it, though. LGF has had posts here and there about the weirdos Fox invites on, like racists and 9/11 "truthers". I only watch b/c they dare take on 0bama, and they are the only one's AFAIK.

I try to always cross check my news sources, you have to temper Fox with CNN to dig out that nugget of truth that hasn't been spun.

Wait until all the newspapers are gone, and then we'll have the CNBC & MSNBC feud to entertain us!

I blame Larry King.

Two thoughts

-Chris Matthews doesn't even register

-Coming in below MSNBC, that's harsh

Mustang; you know how democrats get elected. By hook or by crook!

O'Reilly may be on top now, but look out, Beck is on his way up.

Only Olbermann could spin THIS as something good for him. Wait for it.

Hi LAS :

One wonders how the following story was covered by these stations …

/// 'White people with blue eyes' caused financial crisis

Brazil's President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, has raised a few brows by suggesting the global financial crisis has been caused by "white people with blue eyes". …/… ///
http://tinyurl.com/cctyg8

Some coverage in th UK on the first day (Sky News, BBC TV), very little immediate coverage (if any) in the French TV/radio media. Perhaps Amerloque wasn’t looking in the right place ?

When he googled ‘lula yeux bleus’ a couple of hours after the fact, there were only two French language references: Euronews and Xinhua (!). It took a while for the French to catch up, but to Amerloque’s knowledge, no TV news picked it up other than Euronews (and the TV chez Amerloque is on virtually 24/24 … perhaps his zapping was at fault ?).

The next day the French press accented ‘it was only a metaphor, it was not racist!’ aspect. Naturellement …

Anyway, Amerloque is quite relieved to discover that he will not be held responsible for the world financial crisis, sine his eyes are not blue. (grin)

Best,
L’Amerloque

Mine are, so I suppose this bastard thinks it's my fault?

To answer your question about the coverage of what I term a very racist comment, no. It hasn't been covered, as if say, some had used brown skin and eyes as a "metaphor". Drudge has had it linked on his site for a few days, or else I would have never even known about it.

But here's a poser. Does George Soros have blue eyes?

BTW Amerloque, I have an upcoming post about this.
