Turning Anger Into Positive Action

Before we get started, let's hear a very important lesson in modern political terminology, shall we?

This occurred some time ago, before the last election. But as you may have surmised by now, it fell on deaf ears.

Although it had little to no effect last November, it is not too late use it as an educational tool for instruction in the social sciences.

This man gave the lesson, but no one learned. He piped, but nobody danced. People were more than content to allow themselves to be lied to, by lesser men and women. Fool us once, shame on you Mr./Ms. Politician. Fool us twice, shame on us.

But hey, it's all water under the bridge now.

The time to learn is now, the time to dance is now. This mean it's time raise the awareness and organize a common sense movement to unseat the scumbags who have infiltrated our institutions, permeating them with slime and other disgusting materials.

It's time to blog it, it's time to talk it, and most importantly, it's time to live it.

Do not think for one minute that they own this country, because it is you and I that have the control. We have the power to vote against the very incumbents who have sold our children's and grandchildren's future to finance their power grab. If only we will have the courage, the guts to do so. If only we will hold them accountable.

As you become irate about the AIG bonuses, let us not forget the people that made those bonuses possible. Certainly let us not fail to recognize that every last lying thieving bastard who has feigned outrage at it is guilty of the same thing on a daily basis. It is their dirty dealings in the halls of our buildings that have led us to be at this point. It is them we should blame, not the corporate welfare recipients whose bad behavior was just positively reinforced, by these lower than the lowest vermin.

If their blatant and brazen hypocrisy isn't enough to make your blood boil, maybe this will.

A hedge fund manager who predicted the global credit crunch has said the financial crisis has been 'stimulating' and the culmination of his life's work.

George Soros, who predicted the global financial crisis twice before, was one of the few people to anticipate and prepare for the current economic collapse.

Mr Soros said his prediction meant he was better able to brace his Quantum investment fund against the gloabal storm.

But other investors failed to take notice of his prediction and his decision to come out of retirement in 2007 to manage the fund made him $US2.9 billion.

And while the financial crisis continued to deepen across the globe, the 78-year-old still managed to make $1.1 billion last year.

How great is that? The biggest financier of the Progressive movement is making money, while average people have lost their asses in their retirement funds. The man that is known as the kingmaker has been profiting from other people's calamity. And the sad thing is, these jerks in office are beholden to this worthless puke.

Let's get busy, let's get the incumbents out of there. If the person running against them looks like another idiot, so what? Is the current idiot doing anything of any value now ? Could the next idiot screw it up any worse than this bunch already has?

Let's take back the process from special interests. It time to let them know the only special interest they need to be concerned with is, the American people that spill their blood, sweat, and tears to make this country what it is.

Let's persuade good men and women who are qualified to run against these deviant minds and toss them out in the street. Let's put these crooks into the private sector, force them to earn their own money, and pay taxes like the rest of us. Let's not wait until election day, let's start today.

Not to mention any names (Mustang), but to those of you who have some time, how about getting an anti-incumbency blog network together? I'll join it. I'll do whatever I can to further the cause. I 'll help in whatever way can and I bet others will too.

Let's not sit idly by and merely be content to vent and bitch. Let's do something and let's not wait any longer. Let's have people organize events and activities this summer, like the tea parties. Because of the economy, people are looking for inexpensive vacations where they can bring their families. Let's stand up, be counted, and show the young people how to peacefully assemble --how to make their voices heard.

Let's do it the right way and see what happens. What do you say?

Thanks for the mention.

The video was great. I love this:

"Change = the 1970's"

Truer have never been spoken.

A little off the main topic but your bit on George Soros is food for thought. It has been interesting that he has spent so much money getting Dims elected. It doesn't take much imagination to see it may be a simple investment. This would not be the first time a wealthy liberal has manipulated the American economy to make a fortune (think Joe Kennedy).

A nice follow up would be for an investigative reporter (one that actually investigated liberals that is) to look into Soro's investments to see just how much he is paying in taxes on this windfall. Word a year or two ago was that George "tax the wealthy" Soros actually had most of his money deposited offshore to avoid US taxes.

I have been one to post and comment, letting my anger at this feeling of helplessness, get the better of me. Your right we do need to start an anti-incumbency blog group. I'll sign up as soon as someone shows me a mission statement. I need to refocus my attitudes away from anger and toward constructive thinking. I thank you for the wake up call, even though it came a day late. I spent all day yesterday contemplating my place in the blogosphere and decided that I needed to redirect my efforts to solving problems.

You are correct, unfortunately, that this is the lousy choice we are given. It amazes me that people in my state, for example, continue to vote democrat even as those elected democrats screw the citizens of Massachsuetts on a daily basis. Our state gov't is completely controlled by special interests, both business and labor. I see it every day in my job. They force municipalities and individuals to pay (in taxes, fees, cuts to local aid, increased highway tolls, etc, etc.) to keep the big campaign contributors fat, rich and happy. We at least need a robust, sizable minority to keep the majority party in check. We have neither in Mass. or in Washington. :(

If any of us think that the events over the past sixty-five days are merely circumstantial, then we are truly a delusional people. The Alinsky playbook instructs, create a crisis, and take advantage of it. That is what is happening, and most of us refuse to acknowledge it, or are simply blind. As Chuck points out, however . . . it is one thing to form the proposition, and quite something else to prove it. There may be an investigative journalist still living somewhere in America, but he is short-lived if he ever submits an expose on Soros to his editor. I understand there is a bounty on conservative journalists; they are either hiding, or they have all been exterminated.

Now as to “Turning anger into positive action,” let us all observe that Sunset is a master diverting attention from his own pathetic lethargy toward some other hapless person. We can only infer that when Sunset writes about positive action, he means, “other people’s positive action.” Thank goodness, Sunset has ten fingers because they give him plenty of opportunity to avoid taking responsibility by pointing toward others. Meanwhile, what is Sunset doing? Why, he’s sitting on his patio drinking German bier.

Finally, has anyone noticed how Sunset uses every opportunity to malign Mustang . . . a man who saved Sunset’s miserable life on three separate occasions, and who has not received a “thank you” or any monetary remuneration?

Our state government is completely controlled by special interests, both business and labor.

The founding fathers recognized state sovereignty for an important reason; we are just now beginning to appreciate their wisdom. I am aghast at how much “stimulus” money Florida accepted, but I should point out that deficiencies in our national educational system is directly proportional to the amount of federal funds our states have swallowed; it is how the federal government is able to interfere in our state educational programs. So I think Greg is making an important point; our salvation as a free republic must originate within the several states. If we find ourselves frustrated by special interests in our states, imagine how little power we have . . . even collectively, at the federal level. But it has to begin somewhere, and I suspect that state legislators are more sensitive to our complaints than the idiots in Washington are.

Sunset’s vote against the incumbent program will work at the state level, too. Our challenge is firing up the people so that they will act.

L.A.,

Glad to see that you took my "nudge" (under another post) about the blogoshpere becoming more proactive.

Yes, I too would participate in an anti-incumbency movement. It might be hard at first (such as "choosing" between a McCain and an Obama, were one or the other an incumbent), but I would be willing to give it a shot. And, while the “tea parties” in and of themselves may not have much impact, they will present GREAT opportunities for local networking amongst those who participate – grass roots in its most basic form.

As far as goes the hypocrite George Soros, the greedy bastard is doing nothing different from that which the insurance companies, oil companies, the finance industry et al have been engaged in for years: profiting from the public’s calamity. The only aspect which differs is his professed ideology, and I am certain that the S.O.B. sleeps soundly by convincing himself he will use all of that money in altruistic pursuits someday – just like Robin Hood. All the while, those whom he professes to “care about” go hurting.

Congrats, George – you now share something in common with an oil company exec!

Hello Mustang !

///The founding fathers recognized state sovereignty for an important reason; we are just now beginning to appreciate their wisdom. ///

An excellent point ! At regular intervals, we over here in Europe are told and/or asked: ‘It’s a scandal ! Why can’t the popular vote directly decide who is President ? Voters are disenfranchised !’

That’s when Amerloque takes a deep, deep breath, opens up a bottle of Vichy water, and patiently (well, more or less patiently, depending on circumstances, and the hour of the day …) explains that the name ‘United States of America’ means that political power is vested in the states. Via the electoral college system, the states elect the President and Vice President.

It’s the people in each state who empower that state to do so in accordance with the people’s wishes.

I don't find it far off the main topic, because much of this goes hand in hand.

Obama is the Manchurian candidate, Soros and his left wing organization control him. It's not too far fteched to view the money Soros gives to the Dems as investments. He has made much of his money by crashing currencies and in the midst of other crises.

Anger, when not focused properly, turns into rage. Rage can turn into violence. Both rage and violence are counter productive.

Even the Bible states it's okay to be angry. I forget exactly which book it's in, but the scripture says, "Be ye angry and sin not". By the law of inference, I have always taken this to mean use the anger for good.

As for a mission statement, I guess I can come up with one when I get some time.

I bet that asshats like Barney Frank (who have been in power for years) have made enemies within the party, enough to encourage a primary battle. If Dems are always going to be a lock for the seat or office, the primary is where the battle must be fought.

Maybe if there is an anti-incumbent sentiment in the air by the time the primary rolls around, someone brave will at least give it a try. He won't need much money, just a lot of people pissed at Frank. If the guy turns into another jerk, he's up for re-election again in two years, fire him in the primaries.

Working his ass off so he can do his "patriotic" duty, as per the US VP's assessment. At the rate I am going now, I am about to reach Patrick Henry status.

More specifically, the challenge is to build a network that can and will compete with the MoveOns and the Think Progresses. Granted, most of us have real responsibility and do not want to live with our parents. But that does not mean we cannot organize as efficiently as the robots.

It's worth a shot, I think.

I would stress that not all of the politicians are worthy of being fired. The gentleman in the video seems to get it and it would be hard to want to pick some dumbass Democrat that would support the Pelosi agenda, over and above him.

But 90% of the pols that are in power now are not worthy of drawing a dime of tax money for their salary/ So, it's only fair to punt and play for field position, until the offense can get some momentum.

The same can be said of the overall philosophical objectives of government. Here in the US we stress the rights of the states and individual liberty. It seems like France's centers around fairness and equality.

The goals may not be all that different in most areas, but the mission statements are different.

Yes, Amerloque mentioned this, once upon a time (see below), and will certainly be developing the partial posting below in light of the current ill-advised, all-encompassing Qbamania … (grin) … the goals are not exaactly the same, in Amerloque’s view (at least if the game is played according to the rules) …

// …/… What are the goals of American society ? Why, they're in the Declaration of Independence:

"Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" (la Vie, la Liberté et la recherche du Bonheur)

In France ? How are things organized ? Just look on the front of any mairie(city hall):

Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity)

Quite a difference, eh ? …/… // http://tinyurl.com/cwejt4

Outstanding. I knew I had read this somewhere, now I remember. Your old blog pal here forgets more, as he gets older.

I will be looking forward to the next post and may even link back to this one, sometime in the near future.

LA,

Great post.
The more I hear of this guy the more I admire him. He has a great sense of humor with a Stephen Wright delivery. More importantly, he gets it. I agree that we need to be more proactive about the state of our government.

The pols need to be reminded of "We the People." I don't know that Tea Parties will get much accomplished, in and of themselves, but they certainly are beginning to get some notice.

What we the people have is the power to elect or get rid of politicians. If we can unite and form a coalition that will vote with us, we then have power. Remember the Contract with America.
