Illegal Immigration Top Issue For 2006

Click on the title for an article in the Denver Post about Congressman Tom Tancredo's (R-Colorado) campaign against illegal immigration.

Any candidate that wants elected or re-elected in 2006 had better get on the right side of this issue, and fast. Because polls are showing an overwhelming amount of support for controlling the border (many over 80%). In spite of those numbers, many politicians are practicing the old form of "finger in the wind" politics or they are flat out ignoring them.

But rest assured, after 2006, we will all know which way the wind is blowing on this one.

Ok, ignoring the drive by comment with nothing to with the original post...

Perhaps massively huge number of illegal immigrants in California might have something to do with the incredible amount of money they are paying for an education system that doesn't work?

If you have a kid, claiming to have been born and raised in the USA and doesn't speak English by the time they get to school, it's not time for education in Spanish, it's time for English immersion. Hell, you can make an argument for the State Family Services department to remove the kid from that home for his own good.
