It seems one of its more prominent mullahs is worth a good bit of money. It's pretty bold of him to be part of a philosophy that teaches western civilization (America) is the reason that average Iranians are poor and how that money we have, corrupts us. It makes it easy to see why the younger generation is so restless. They are living in poverty, while the mullahs live large and it isn't setting well with young intelligent Iranians.

But isn't part of the process of being a muslim is to live as the prophet did? Living off the wealth created by others, etc., etc....

That's the ticket. Keep the masses poor, blame the US, tell them to submit to their leadership and they will have 70 virgins in heaven awaiting them for their suffering at the hands of the great satan. Meanwhile accumulate wealth for themselves.
It's all the same, Marx just doesn't get the credit. Mohammed does.
Hmmm...Michael Moore comes to mind.
He claims to be a blue collar working stiff, while living in a million dollar plus Manhattan condo, sends his kid to an elite private school, flys in private corporate jets and sicks the cops on anybody who tails him with a camera asking questions.
He tells his readers that they will never get rich because the Republicans have stacked the deck against him, while they make him rich by forking over cash to listen to him lie and distort.
Mark my words, within 50 years we will have the Church of Moore with the martyred St Michael.
In 50 years, I will be dead. Either that or my name will be read on the Today Show by whoever succeeds Willard Scott as the announcer of centenarians' birthdays.
In the future Willard Scott will be reconstructed as a Disney animatronic robot. :)
