Is this the link you intended for the first article?

If so, I've been wondering the same thing as the author. Why now? Just when things are starting to look better in Iraq? Hmmmm. I know, as the chairman of the Democratic Natn'l Committee said recently, that "good news in Iraq is bad for Democrats," but would they actually go so far as to create a bad situation in Iraq to help their party? Someone needs to ask the sponsors of the bill (one of them is a Republican, btw) about the wonderful, truly helpful timing of this non-binding declaration.

Greg,

I am glad to have you around to keep me honest.

I fixed the link. Chalk it up to 13 hr days and the lack of caffeinated beverages in my system. I have a brutal stretch between now and the weekend.

In response to your comments, I can sum it up in just a few words. Passive-Aggressive Personality Disorder.

Thanks for the link LA. I wonder what the first link was to? :)

Greg,
I took a couple of days to cool down before writing that post after hearing about the planned vote. I thought, give them a chance to give a reasonable explanation. Instead the Stumbler compares Abu Graibh and Gitmo to genocide.

I still can think of no rational reason other than attempted sabotage to hold the vote now. Amazing how a couple of words out of context can get such screaming headlines and buzz for days, yet subversion is a yawner. It's the power of the letter 'D'.

AICS: i didn't realize that was your blog. Cool. I like it - I'll add it to my short list of blogs I visit daily.

LAS: I don't care how busy you are - there is no excuse for not caffeinating yourself. If not for yourself, do it for the kids, man.

AICS,

When not properly caffeinated before blogging, there are occasions where a blogger fails to copy the intended link, does not clear the last link, and subsequently links to the wrong one (making himself look like an idiot).

I'd love to say that it was a real juicy site, but the truth is, it was the "Dusty Baker becomes Reds manager" story. I'll try harder next time. ;)
