Bro. T is 18. The little 14-month girl, who he beat with a belt because she wouldn't eat and she "disrespected" him, has died. The 21-year old mother was also beaten when she tried to stop the beating. Others are being investigated for being present, standing by, and doing nothing.
Not only is Chism depraved, he is a punk. And I would love nothing more than to have him in a room with me, alone, no witnesses, for about a half an hour. I promise, I would NOT kill him.
Addendum:It sounds like there is a solid case against this heinous creep, so he's going to do some time. Exactly how much, remains to be seen. If he's smart he'll plea bargain.
But I have to say that even among the most depraved individuals in a Level 4 facility, they really don't like child-killers. Prison community justice is probably very likely in this case. Plus, at his fresh young age, he will be somebody's wife at some point along the way, if he hasn't been already.

It probably wasn't his fault. He may have been born a minority, had no one to play with except for drug pushers, and maybe he was just angry after a tough day of gangbanging.
There is no evidence to suggest that this behavior will change simply as a result of prison time. In prison, he'll be able to lift weights, do drugs, have regular sex, and join the Muslim Brotherhood.
Tell you what ... in Japan, they don't have repeat offenders. And the reason for this is that jail is so bad, no one ever wants to go back.
