A cold-blooded killer and oppressive tyrant seems to be worth some money and yet, the average person in his country lives in the most abject poverty in Latin America, with Venezuela sure to catch up real soon. But for now, Fidel gives Hugo something to shoot for. And if that's not enough, it is believed that Cuba has the highest suicide rate in Latin America.
You make the call. But, if you make the argument that the U.S. is responsible for all of this, then you really need some reality deficit therapy.
