Supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton furiously circulated petitions on the floor of the Democratic National Convention last night, hoping to stave off a plan to hold the convention's roll call at breakfast Wednesday — out of the public eye — sources inside the delegations said. The move being worked out between the Obama campaign and officials behind Clinton's suspended bid, would work in two parts: Delegates would cast votes at their hotels Wednesday morning; that night, at the Pepsi Center convention site, the roll-call process would rely on the votes cast that morning, the delegates said.
What does this tell us? It says that the Obama camp doesn't trust the Clinton camp, one bit.
They are deadly afraid the Clintons have lined up something slick, something like a convention coup. They have to be worried that there are doubts among the super-delegates, who were won over late and with some extra effort.
I tell you folks, there's trouble in paradiseland. The Democrats are as close to being as divided, as they were in 68, as they ever have been since.

I'll tell you, it better get better soon for the Dems because McCain's latest ads (both Hillary and Biden being shown endorsing him when they were running against Barack) are devastating. And this Ayers stuff has legs. Strong ones.

No doubt. Why else would Obama be so adamant the ad connecting him to Ayers not be shown?
The Republicans are so much better at campaigning than the Democrats. Forget that they actually nominate one clear winner. They know how to dribble out the negative ads on their opponents. They waited to hammer BHO on Wright until BHO had pulled ahead of Hillary for good. Then they put together all the narcisistic comments BHO has made, and put them in an effective ad. Now they are hitting him on the Hillary/Biden endorsements of McCain. In a couple of weeks, they will start hammering his association with terrorist Ayers. And if there's time before the election, they will nail him on his associations with communists and corrupt middle-eastern real estate tycoons.
I still can't believe they are going to nominate this guy!

When I think about this, I cannot help but wonder what is going through these bozos' heads. Had it not been for Bill Clinton, the Dems would not have won a presidential since Jimmy Peanut. And now they have thrown him and his wife under the bus. Not much loyalty in that party anymore.
