The Uh-Bama Chronicles

I haven't had time to listen to the Rick Warren interviews in their entirety (when my four-year old grandson visits for a weekend, he gets the bulk of my attention). But from the clips I have heard, there really was no contest and it gives cause to wait patiently for the debates.

Uh-Uh-Uhbama is what he will be known as, real soon. His ability to speak extemporaneously is not one of his better qualities. Unless he has time to rehearse a speech that was written for him, he has a definite communication problem.

Naturally the Obama spin machine has begun its damage control, using the MSM to voice its displeasure. As part of the aftermath of this exercise, there are some surfacing complaints by the McCain camp, as well:

McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis asked Sunday for a meeting with Steve Capus, the president of NBC News, to protest what the campaign called signs that the network is "abandoning non-partisan coverage of the Presidential race."

Davis made the request Sunday in a letter that is part of an aggressive effort by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to counter news coverage he considers critical.

In this case, the campaign is objecting to a statement by NBC's Andrea Mitchell on "Meet the Press" questioning whether McCain might have gotten a heads-up on some of the questions that were asked of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who was the first candidate to be interviewed Saturday night by Pastor Rick Warren at a presidential forum on faith.

NBC biased? Say it isn't so. The National Barack Channel has clearly been in the tank for Uhbama, since his string of caucus frauds began in Iowa. But let's read on for Mitchell's response to the complaint:

"I wasn't expressing an opinion," Mitchell said. "I was reporting what they were saying."

Interesting, to say the least. Could she have at least contacted the McCain camp to get their response to the complaints from Uhbama's staff and reported it? I think she could/should have, she just didn't want to.

It's hard to tap dance your way through a pointed interview with tough questions, when you have no life experiences to guide you. And that appears to be the problem Uhbama is having right now, which could very well be a large part of why he hasn't pulled away from McCain in the polls. Maybe the brilliant minds over at NBC could hypothesize this for their evening newscast.

Here's the story and the links to the video of the forum. See what you think.

It's impossible to know for sure Mitchell's intent, though NBC's track record in covering Uh-bama is pretty damning. And whatever her intent, the effect of her comment is to diminish the effect of McCain's good response and Uh-bama's bad response. Specifically, Mitchell sought to explain why McCain answered a question about evil so much better than Obambi:

PASTOR RICK WARREN: Does evil exist? And if it does, do we ignore it, do we negotiate with it, do we contain it, do we defeat it?

SEN. BARACK OBAMA (D-IL): Evil does exist. I mean, I think we see evil all the time. We see evil in Darfur, we see evil some--sadly, on the streets of our cities. We see evil in parents who viciously abuse their children.

PASTOR WARREN: Hm.

SEN. OBAMA: And I think it has to be confronted.

SEN. JOHN McCAIN (R-AZ): Defeat it. Couple of points. One, if I'm president of the United States, my friends, if I have to follow him to the gates of hell, I will get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. I will do that and I know how to do it. I will get that done.

MR. GREGORY: Andrea Mitchell, that's a pretty clear contrast.

Also interesting - as pointed out by HotAir.com - the MSM is ignoring Uh-bama's near mention of the "E" word in explaining why he wouldn't have nominated Clarence Thomas to the SCOTUS. He quickly changed gears and expained that Thomas was simply too stupid to be on the Court. Unlike Scalia, who is wrong, but at least smart. That's the cliff's notes, anyway (I recommend watching the video at HotAir). Pretty funny, actually. Thanks for the laugh, Barry!

Here's a good article on the Clarence Thomas thing.

I can't wait for the debates. Obambi is going to get his clock cleaned.

The media’s intent is to elect Uh-bama, pure and simple. In my view, McCain blew him out of the arena. He wouldn’t even stand a chance against Dave Berry … the example being, “See, when the government spends money, it creates jobs; whereas when the money is left in the hands of taxpayers, God only knows what they do with it. Bake it into pies, probably. Anything to avoid creating jobs.” And I thought I was sarcastic!

Now, I find it interesting that Uh-bama leads McCain in the female vote. Remember, these are people who assert that they care about such things as families, medical care, abortion on demand, and finding it in our hearts to help people find clean needles. And if that’s true … they should demand McCain, rather than Uh-bama. The truth is, McCain will never be in a position to overturn Roe v. Wade, and one wonders why fetal rights aren’t as important as a woman’s right to choose. I think a case can be made that a woman exercised her right to choose when she spread her legs prior to conception.

Funny how he didn't describe evil like this:

Evil blows up innocents to advance their cause.

Evil cuts Nick Berg's head off, films it, and is unapologetic for it, often justifying as a fight for freedom (when it's actually a crusade to oppress and commit other atrocities).

Evil tries to extort and use bribery to extract cash, seeks to influence nations and individuals, and only for the selfish purposes.

I could go on, but I think my point is clear. Obama recognizes only the evil that fits the official Howard Dean definition.

Racist puke.

Seriously, Clarence Thomas wasn't raised with as much money as Barry O. CT never had anything given to while he growing up. He walked the chalk line. He learned discipline and a profound appreciation for hard work, as a lawyer and judge. Plus, CT has more brains than ten Obamas.

If that's stupid, I wish I was as stupid as CT.

The odd thing about Obama is how incredibly stupid he has become. As a resident of Illinois, I listened to at least one of the debates between Obama and Keys for the Senate race. Granted, Keys during that time (and sadly since) was kindof kooky. I do remember Obama doing very, very well in that debate. Maybe it was that Keys was just so bad, but it is hard to imagine that is the only reason Obama seemed good. We'll see.

After all the ribbing Bush has taken on speaking ability, the lefties must be choking on each and every 'uh' that comes out of Obama's mouth.

He's not good at being a centrist, which is precisely what he wants the electorate to believe he is, after years of hard left stances on almost every issue imaginable. When a person tries to be something he/she is not, he/she looks incredibly stupid.

mustang, is that "spending money" quote for real? Obambi really said that? OMG! If so, that's got to go in the next McCain ad!

LAS: Racist puke.

I know! Funny how saying anything against BHO makes one a racist, but BHO can essentially call someone an uncle tom and get away with it. It's no mistake BHO picked the black guy to slam, believe! BTW, along the lines of your comment, Thomas' ancestors were slaves. Thomas didn't have no affirmative action. BHO? His family OWNED slaves. And affirmative action? How else does someone with so little experience and so many connections to bad people get this close to the Presidency?
