AP: Iran Removing 40 Ambassadors From Posts

In a move that surprises very few, the AP is reporting that Iran is becoming more bold in the world of foreign policy.

By ALI AKBAR DAREINI Associated Press Writer

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran's hard-line government said Wednesday it was removing 40 ambassadors and senior diplomats, including supporters of warmer ties with the West, from their posts in a shake-up that comes as the Islamic republic takes a more confrontational international stance.

Would now be a good time to have a meeting or two about this? Would now be a good time to stop issuing harshly worded statements, in condemnation? Would now be a good time to actually do something?

India, China, Russia, Europe, are you listening? Are you taking this seriously?

Iran is.

Ye, it is. This is another case where this has been brewing, yet many wrote it off as paranoia and xenophobia. But it is now a reality.

God! Yesterday, there was a huge demonstration, celebrating the 1979 taking of hostages at the U.S. Embassy in Iran.

See this. You may have to scroll down a bit.
