House Rejects Immediate Withdrawal 403-3

From the AP, the vote is in.

The time to vote is over, they had their chance. Last evening the House voted on what I erroneously reported in my last post as Rep. Murtha's (D-PA) proposal. It was the proposal by Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA). (PYY corrects all factual errors when discovered or pointed out.)

Three people voted for the immediate withdrawal. They are:

Jose Serrano of New York
Robert Wexler of Florida
Cynthia McKinney of Georgia

These three are the only ones I expect to see capitalizing on or getting in on photo-ops with the Cindy Sheehan circus over the holiday. Those that voted yes and still do so, will do so at their own political risk.

Six cowards voted present and did not have the guts to vote one way or the other. They are:

Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington
Jerrold Nadler of New York
Maurice Hinchey of New York
Major Owens of New York
Michael Capuano of Massachusetts
William Lacy Clay of Missouri.

Unlike the three that had the guts to vote no and face the voters with that vote, these six cowards should not be seen or heard in the same sound bites with the Cindy Sheehan circus. They had their chance. They are gutless and spineless wonders that should be voted out of their districts for not having the courage to take a stand, one way or the other.

Jerrold Nadler, from the Upper West Side (or is it Upper Left Side) of Manhattan, refused to show his colors. Interesting! And suprising! Given his love for Fidel Castro, one wonders what held him back. Clearly not his voters - from the district that gave Congress Bella Abzug.

Major Owens, from Brooklyn (including Brooklyn Heights) is another decades-old Congressmen and perennial Leftist.

I had heard of Hinchey. I knew he was a schmuck. The others I hadn't heard of. Cynthia McKinney does not surprise me in the least. She is the most pro-terrorist Representative in the House.

"Cindy Sheehan must be freaking out."

You watch. They will find an angle to spin. But for now, she has got to be feeling pretty bad that her thunder has been reduced to the equivalent of a cap gun.

She'd be lucky for a cap gun. More like a water balloon.

As for Cynthia McKinney, can't freakin' stand her. Not since her father blamed the Jews for her losing her district a while back.

Immediate withdrawal causes nothing good. Remember what happened in Somalia. It was a halfway measure, and terrorists continue to roam all over the world.

By the way, thank you for your blog back on Blog Street. I have to learn more about this blog directory. I will be able to use it better.

LA, I just posted about this, and how it relates to Murtha and the "paper tiger" movement in Congress. These guys are so much talk, and this was the perfect move to call them out.

Now if we can just get an actual fillibuster. then maybe everyone will see the true nature of these guys.
