SF Chronicle Series On The 1906 Quake

I stumbled upon an interesting piece from the SF Chronicle, about the time leading up to the famous 1906 earthquake. This is only part one of a 10-part series.

I post this not only because I love history, but because there are some parallels between that disaster in the San Francisco of that day and the New Orleans of today.

Take a look.

UPDATE - Part two is out, and you can read it here.

Some seismologists are saying that SF is due for another quake. In fact, there was a temblor in CA yesterday or the day before.

If SF has a huge quake, the disaster will make Katrina pale in comparison.

You could be right. We all saw what happened in the last one. There is nothing that says, it can't/won't happen again.
