"In my mind I'm pretending that Geena Davis is actually running the country because it makes me feel a lot more secure," said Less Than Perfect's Sara Rue, summing up the opinions of the mostly Democratic Hollywood crowd. "We all thought of Hillary Clinton when we heard they were making this show. I hope it takes off!"
But Davis - a Democrat playing an independent - clarified, "We're making this as entertainment. But God willing, if this show stays on and people see a woman in that office for a while, I think it will help people become more used to it. It's certainly about time that we had a few female presidents."
Notice how they are presenting this observation as an afterthought. Anyone that has an iota of intelligence can surmise that it takes a while to develop a TV show. So you know they have been planning this for a long time. There were people in a conference room, all of which have offices, desks, and pens, tossing around ideas along the with advantages and disadvantages, of such a show. One of the advantages they must have seen is the effect that this show could have, on the next presidential election.
Present a moderate independent female president in a positive and entertaining light, so as to subliminally plant the idea that a female president wouldn't be all that bad, and you have the makings of a potential hit. But that's not the issue, because there are a lot of women that I believe could do the job well (but are probably too smart to even want the job).
The issue is, it just so happens that everyone (to especially include the Hollywood elite) knows that Hillary is the one woman that is most likely to run and have a legitimate shot at winning the Democratic nomination in 2008. So they creep in subtly, just under the radar, hoping there are enough people with poor analytical skills that will buy the premise.
The "I like Geena in that TV show, so I will vote for Hillary" mentality will begin to surface soon. And couple that with her recent mysterious move towards the center, and you have the makings of another ploy of the Hollywood left to seize power, of the White House.
Remember, the Clintons have a lot of friends in Hollywood. A lot.

The Wiley Coyote outcome for this project would be for Condi Rice to take the oath of office.
They never consider the possibility of the Wiley Coyote outcome.
They would just have a hissy fit, wouldn't they?
Oh, ya!
